DO NOT USE! Pawshake is a [Content Removed]. They removed my account after i had been using them for 2years and when i tried contacting with no response they finally got back to me after multiple emails to them and told me i owed them money and that only when i paid would they restore my account! Disgusting behaviour! Been pet sitting for over 5yrs and never had a platform do this. Never using them again.

Pawshake has been wonderful to me!!! I've been a Sitter for just over a year now and have had a great experience with them, whilst doing what I love best.....caring for pooch's. Great platform to find a pet sitter – The platform was easy to navigate and use and I was able to find a reliable sitter for my pet. The only hiccup was the payment timing. with no warning. The way it was written, I thought I'd be charged immediately after confirming the booking. I wasn't charged then, so I thought ok, maybe they will charge me once the service is completed (December) but then I was charged in October out of the blue. It's important for some people to be aware of upcoming payments so they don't incur additional charges for overdrawing the credit card.

Recently paid a cat sitter named Josy $200 thru Pawshake and an additional $250 in cash to feed our cat twice a day while we were away overseas for 10 days. didn't see Josy at all so we decided to check our security camera footage and were shocked to find she only attended to our cat 4 out of the 20 visits she was paid for. When I questioned her she didn't deny our claims and promised to refund the cash component of the payment which clearly was an admission of her guilt, however we never received any such refund from her so I formally made a complaint to Pawshake and sent all the video evidence proving this girl ripped us off and after a lot of correspondence back and forward they basically washed their hands of our complaint. We will never use Pawshake again and recommend no one trust a cat sitter named Josy. Pawshake are more about making money than the welfare of animals.

No customer service, no phone number or person to assist me to find someone to look after my dog. Even the feedback on the ‘Pawshake’ site seems to go into a void unmonitored by humans.

The site is good for day visits for pet feeding, but what is going on with the dog boarding on here? Everybody I've contacted is either finishing up, moving overseas, going travelling, taking a break or some other excuse. It's a complete waste of time. The site needs to be far more transparent about who is actually available and who isn't before people spend hours communicating for nothing.

excited, she opened the door and her large dog rushed at us full force. Growling and really aggressive. I was so scared we were both going to get bitten, she was yelling at her dog. Totally no control over her dog. I was yelling and trying to protect my dog. The experience was horrific. She finally got control of her dog, when her other one ran out and proceeded to jump all over us. I was screaming at her and her dog who carried on the long driveway till we managed to get in our car. I have grown up with big dogs and I know you need control over them. The 2 things that have made me not use Pawshake again is. The dog owner said that's what bog dogs do when they meet. I was so shocked that she would say that. The other reason is I emailed Pawshake direct twice and they never replied. Bad service. Would not recommend them going forward.

hard to get a consistent repeat sitter. My latest booking, the sitter asked, in the Pawshake message app, for me to pay her directly because Pawshake takes 19% and her other clients do this. I replied with "I am leaving this booking as is in Pawshake and will talk to you about this after the job". Pawshake, in their wisdom decided this means I am working around the system and instantly cancelled my account - whilst leaving the booking alive. No advance notice of the cancellation was given - just unable to log in. I can't contact the sitter. I don't know the status of the booking. Pawshake has only email as a contact and after the first email where they accuse me, unfairly and inaccurately, of collusion with the sitter, they no longer email me. Not knowing what was happening with my booking and not having contact with the sitter, I arrange for a friend to go to the house and take over. Pawshake still took my payment. As far as I can tell the sitter is still on the site. So they will ruthlessly defend their cash flow at the expense of customer service. Your choice if that's what you want.

profile. My dealings with them discussing this issue was always extremely rude and abrupt, saying that owners need immediate replies. After leaving a message unreplied to one weekend, they simply told me “that was my final warning,” deactivating my profile for good, meaning my current bookings confirmed cant find me. I can’t even contact them to let them know what’s happened to their booking. I’ll be going to my happy clients and moving them over to Mad Paws, which means Pawshake lose out on my business. It’s disappointing and concerning for clients that a sitter they want to book or have confirmed with can disappear, but in the end Pawshake will lose out on this one.

Unprofessional Petsitters on Pawshake – They have dodgy Persitters who are unreliable and inconsistent which is a poor reflection of the service they provide. I’ve tested a few and they all promise the sky and the moon but cancel bookings after committing to dates. So unreliable and causes anxiety to pet owners. When this is brought up to their customer service, I’m told this is not something they can monitor or control so how do you run your business then?

Worst experience possible – My dog required emergency surgery 3 days before my booking through pawshake which meant I had to cancel my holiday away to look after my dog while he recovered and of course had to cancel the pawshake booking. They were absolutely useless, their complaints service did not want to know. they completely washed their hands of the issue and left me to deal with the dog walker directly. Being registered in Ireland, you will have no legal comeback if you are using their service anywhere else in the world.

In summary, this company is a total rip-off, they take your money and do not care at all about providing any customer service or standing behind their 'product'. I would steer as well clear as possible from this website - it is bordering on a scam.

the situation in the morning as the owner had left for overseas until I could find an alternative to the dog being looked after as I felt i couldn’t just leave the poor animal. For reasons unknown a lady her friend let themselves unannounced into the house at midnight and I heard a noise and found this person in the fridge which gave me an awful fright. This not being appropriate or safe I told the friend and dog owner who was on speaker phone I was packing my stuff as this was highly inappropriate , illegal and unsafe for myself. Her friend can look after the dog seeing as she’s let herself in and I reported this to the police , I tried to find the lady ‘[Name Removed]’ on Pawshake to complain but her profile had disappeared. I then had another client contact me to try and book me thru Pawshake as she couldn’t find my profile and this was when I found out I had my profile deleted but account still active so I emailed Pawshake asking why this was ? I was told a lady had reported me for leaving a door open ‘[Name Removed]’ I was shocked that I wasn’t even asked if this was true. I replied saying what had actually happened and that she has told lies to cover for her illegal activities. More so I had a prior housesit booked and yet Pawshake happy to keep that money and have me petsit still then completely deleting my account still having not replied to my various emails about the traumatic experience I had and then to top it off basically being homeless for the next month as I was suppose to have been petsitting. Had to stay between friends places. They also replied to the lady I petsat most recently saying I was banned due [Content Removed] activity ? (Yet they still let me into her house to petsit if they actually believed this they wouldn’t have let me still petsit the already paid petsit - as they probably didn’t want to refund her money I could imagine)anyway was news to me as they told me it was a complaint about leaving a door open which was a blatent lie. Now I can’t access any tax statement as my accounts been deleted as well as my profile to report to the tax department and they are ignoring my complaints of the traumatic experience. I don’t believe they have the capability to deal with these situations so find it easier to just delete someone’s profile with no notice and ignore them. So users be warned

reputable, professional company would practice correct protocol, allowing both parties the opportunity to respond to the dispute, demonstrating diplomacy and respect for both parties. Instead Sam resorts to shutting down sitters accounts without warning or allowing them the opportunity to respond or explain.

Poorly trained staff, substandard customer service (for example you can’t even speak to a person, only receive generic auto bot emails) or even worse a rude email (if you even get a reply at all)! Their poorly designed website and glitchy app, all of this and they also happen to take the highest commissions of all the pet sitting companies out there! Annoyingly they sign off their emails “From your friends at Pawshake”. Pawshake, you are definitely not a friend of mine.

Just great – This service is easy to access. Fees are reasonable & services offered flexible. Once you have booked the person to look after your pet, you deal with them direct, so you have personal feedback on how your pet is faring without you.

Fabulous way to find a reliable pet minder! – Very easy process. If several pple were avaliable, the option to meet before deciding, was great. Loved the online contact with pics of my boy Normie (cat!!) which reassured me while away he was being well looked after.

Base been extremely helpful the last few years to have this service – One of the pet sitters I’ve known for five years or so she has been so helpful. Also the service has been great also, with flexible options

Fantastic Service, Game Changer! – Pawshake is a brilliant app which I used to find a cat sitter whilst my family went on holiday. The UI was easy to navigate, booking was quick and the messaging tool direct with the sitter was brilliant. If you're going away and are worried about your pets, I highly recommend Pawshake.
