Bad – I would not recommend this pram in the slightest. It's just been annoying the whole time we've had it and I wouldn't buy it if I had to go back and choose again. Easy to steer. There are quite a lot of cons with this pram. 1) The strap system is complicated and you end up with straps everywhere. Very annoying! 2)The child in the back of the… Read more
pram can quite easily get their fingers into the back wheel spokes, despite the fact that you can install wheel guards. The wheel guards DO NOT PREVENT fingers going in wheels.
3) There is absolutely no storage space when two children are in the pram.
4) It is very difficult to get a child in and out the back seat of the pram without hitting their head on the handlebars or some other part of the pram.
5)The brake is unable to be operated with your foot, I have to use my hand every time. It's a complete pain.
6) I usually catch my finger in the pram when folding it down. I've had the pram for over two years and still get my finger stuck.
Absolute best choice if you have 2 – I inherited a second hand E3 when I had my 1st baby, but also was given a little umbrella stroller, and a lightweight, more expensive pram. I only used the E3 for walking at that time, and couldn't understand why anyone would pay the $ for it when it was so heavy and bulky. When we had our 2nd (18 months later) the other 2 strollers went into… Read more
the shed and the E3 has been our best friend. It is the single best piece of baby equipment we own, now that we have 2 kids! The flexibility of the 2nd seat - the way it can swap from front to back, the simplicity of the design, the 1 hand steerability, the stability even when it is loaded with 2 toddlers and jumping uneven gutters (apparently the newer Sport is topply) - we love it so much we bought a second one!
We have the E3 with a sun shade, the cocoon, the 2nd seat with the elbows so it can be front or back, and the travel bag - excellent for flights. Absolute best double stroller I have ever seen. simple to use, amazing for 2 kids, replaceable fabric parts, durable metal frame, sturdy and balanced. heavy, fabric wears (only because we use it over and over, everyday), bulky, relatively expensive, not worth it for 1 baby.
Excellent – I have had 6 or 7 prams and this is by far the best. I wish I had purchased it from day 1 with my first born. I have the extra seat attachment, which is great. It fits in the car with no problems, takes up hardly any room. I have had a Steelcraft Sonata (awful to steer), Valco Runabout (too wide and uncomfortable fully reclined), Valco Urban (OK… Read more
at the shops, but not around the streets), First Wheels City Elite (outgrew it at 14 months and uncomfortable fully reclined), Childcare umbrella stroller (good compact stroller, now lives in hubbie's car), Valco side-by-side stroller (terrible to steer with a 3 year old and 3 month old). Don't even bother looking at anything else. Light weight, compact pram, so versatile and easy to use. Fits easily through doors and supermarket check outs. Easy to steer and great accessories. Can sometimes unfold when getting into the car, as there is no locking mechanism. Also getting the seat back into upright position with bub in can be a bit tricky.

Fairly good – Definitely a fan of this pram. Have found it easy to fold down and open up and it's fairly lightweight too. Also, very easy to push and steer. All accessories and replacement items can be purchased directly from Phil & Teds at a reasonable price too. The only problem we've had is that the brake is very hard to work. Foot brake is very hard to work
Best double! – I loved using my phi+teds E3, it was a dream to push and loved the ease of going from single to double in a few seconds, The sun and rain cover are definitely worth buying to go with this pram, Still being able to get shopping in the basket with child in the second seat down the bottom. Very easy to steer no clip to hold shut when folded
Good – like i said i flog my pram to death. i lost count how many times my pram went in for repairs, but they fixed it every time, no questions asked and after my warranty ran out we have repaired it ourselves and overall i think it is a fairly solid pram. unfortunately there is no perfect pram, but after 7 others, i wish i had saved my money and bought… Read more
this first. we have added things that i think this pram is lacking and now it really is great. i love my E3!! i call it my 4WD. i walk between 7 and 15kms a day and this pram is my work horse. i have 3 children all 18mths apart and no.4 due in 4 days, 21mths apart. i have had this pram for 4yrs now and although it has it's flaws (all prams do) it really has been flogged with a very hard life and still running strong. i have had 7 prams before this one and hated all of them. although you can never be truly satisfied when you purchase a pram, i really can speak highly of this one, flaws and all. perhaps i have just grown used to it's issues and learnt to deal with them, but for my needs it is the ONLY pram that has come remotely close! i have recently been umming and ahhing about updating to a new dash/sport given how hard i work my pram, but after reading reviews i think i'll stick to my trusty E3 and repair it as needed. 1. folds quickly and easily, toddler seat and wheels when required are also removed quickly and with ease.
2. nice narrow fit, goes down most aisles easily.
3. i have carpel tunnel and this pram has such a great turn circle! so easy to steer and manouver. i push it one handed while jogging with 2 kids in it and can still dodge things/turn corners with ease up and down hill. 1. could do with a latch to keep pram folded while in transit, but i work around this issue by tying the safety strap to the front wheel, works great.
2. if you use the side saddles (which i do) it doesn't fit down a lot of aisles as it becomes quite wide (is it just me or are supermarket aisles getting narrower and narrower? and why is the disability aisle never open?)
3. only has a 12mth warranty and repairs can take awhile. they only ever give you crap replacement prams while waiting that don't fit more than one child.
4. when an older child presses their feet down on the foot pad it presses on the front wheel and jams the breaks on. so my hubby soldered a metal plate underneath, problem solved.
5. when an older toddler is riding in the back seat they can rip the basket from pushing their feet down all the time.
6. also you can't fit groceries in there as their feet take up all the space. this is when you need to get the side saddle bags, which work great.
7. it is almost impossible to do back 2 clips up (when child in back decides to undo them to annoy front child and gets face and body squashed by front child in process)while there is a child sitting in the front. you have to take front child out, redo clips, then put them back in.
8. i don't like the newborn/toddler set up. the newborn space isn't very big and they outgrow it very quickly especially while using the cocoon. the toddler tends to squash the babies legs from above and results in crying annoyed baby. the sooner you can move it to the double toddler mode the better, around 3 - 4 mths old.
9. the double sunshade/rain cover doesn't fit fantastically when the side saddles are on.
10. the under basket sits too low and just the weight of one measly drink bottle makes it drag on tree roots in the footpath, curbs ect. i've had my under basket replaced once already and now that older childs feet are there continuously in it, it's almost ready for replacement.
11. the tyres are cheap and thin and i was getting flats weekly (i do alot of off road/gravel/track walking). so i went to my local bike shop and replaced them with golf buggy tyres and thorn resistant inner tubes. these were cheaper than the phil and ted brand and i have not had a flat since (been 18mths). the only down side to better, thicker tyres is that the steering is slightly stiffer, but not enough to affect my carpel tunnel.
12. i am 5 foot 8 and my hubby 5 foot 11 and both of us find the handle bar is just a tad short, so your posture is slumped a bit to reach properly, wish they made it a tad longer. i often walk/run beside the pram and push one handed, this is very comfortable and still easy to manouvere.
13. my original E3 foot brake broke several times early on in the piece and they replaced it with a shorter sports one. the foot break is now very awkward to get on with your foot and impossible when trying to do quickly so you can run after a toddler about to run on the road. i find i either use my hand which is now impossible to bend down and do 9mths preggo, or stick my foot behind the wheel if i've just stopped to answer the 100th request for food/drink from other children. i like the idea od the dash with the brake in the handle, but after reading reviews it sounds like it has it's own flaws.
14. the quality of all the materials with the phil and teds is cheap (so are most things these days unfortunately). i am happy that i purchased my E3 when it first came out as it only cost me $400 including toddler seat. but now that i am starting to look at replacing ripped/faded material they want $350 just for material replacement. but to update to a new model is over double that. being our last child about to arrive, i just don't know that it's worth it.
Brilliant. Can't recommend more highly – We have had our Phil and Ted's for nearly six years and it is still brilliant. We got this because it can seat two....toddler and baby. My girls are nearly six and two and it is still brilliant. They are also narrower than the other strollers / prams on the market, which makes walking through aisles in the shops MUCH easier. It is REALLY versatile and worth the money. Two searter, easy to move and narrower than other prams.
Love, love love this pram – I bought this pram on eBay so I wasn't sure how it would turn out but no regretts as I love this pram! So light and easy to push, my son is 2 and weighs 12kg and it just so easy to walk or run with him, even my 9 year old can push the pram. Great how I can lay my son completely flat as he sometimes falls asleep. comfortable for my son, harness… Read more
safety belts & good foot rest. Reliable, easy to push, light, easy to fold down, good size once it's folded! To lay my son back you have to unclip to straps and to sit him up it's hard if he is sitting in the pram.
Love this pram Can't live with out it – Just love it so easy to fold, lift, push, light weight, fit's through checkouts at shops just a dream pram for 2 children. I would not use any other pram after owning a Phil & ted's. My car has a gas tank in boot & many other prams would not fit but phil & teds fits with no problem folds flat & light to lift. pram with 2 little ones Great to push with 2 children in it, light weight not heavy easy to turn don't need much room. All parts come off easy to wash Found nothing wrong with it just loved it
Excellent – I think the bad reviews of this pushchair are very unfair, this is why!! I have a phil and teds, ive had a couple...everytime i think i no longer need it and sell it i realise that life without it is a nightmare!! Libby is 10 months old and luke is now 3, i had my first phil when libby was a newborn. It was the phil and teds classic and it… Read more
was fab!!
Libby could sleep peacefully in the cocoon tucked out of the way and very comfortable!
Luke decided after a few months that he want to walk so i sold my phil and teds (for more than i paid...i never buy new pushchairs) i sadly never got to use it with the second seat on the back and i was gutted!
Luke used a buggy board for a while before deciding that walking was too tiring so we just got a cheap tandem (bebekins aroo) whilst this was ok and it was a small umbrella fold it wasnt as nice to push and i found myself looking at every phil and teds i saw and wishing i had one again...soooooo i got one!
we now have the sport model and both luke and libby love it!!
I have luke in the rear seat and he likes to get out and walk sometimes so having them this way round works best for us! We have no complaints at all about getting in the rear seat, we call it the hiding seat and luke loves to hop in...he thinks its great when people havent noticed him cause he can pop his head out and say boo!!
a few people have pointed out "flaws"...for every flaw p&t have a solution which is one of the main reasons that i think the bad reviews on unfair.
flaws solved -
*shopping basket - yes it is difficult to use with the second seat on the back BUT p&t have a solution - pannier bags! we dont have these as we find buggy buddy clips are perfect for us! they are just big carabina clips that i clip the shopping bags too
*child in the back catching their fingers in the wheels SOLUTION from p&t MUDGAURDS! even if you have an older model p&t will supply these to you FREE!!
*sun coming in through the back when in newborn mode...uv screens are available..we have one and its great!!
*shopping basket not hygienic? this one is a little picky if you ask me but you can get a "shop and go" its like a square bag that fits the shopping basket perfectly and makes it easier to get shopping in and out.
*not compact...compared to most doubles yes it is! its not as small as an umbrella fold double but its a completely different style so why would it be? ALL wheels are quick release even on the classic...there are little button under the frame on this model...just press to release the wheels and it fold even smaller (see instructions for more info)
*brakes are difficult to use, ive never found this..they are similar to most brakes.
*replacement parts are expensive...so far ive found anything ive needed very reasonable or free!
*fingers get caught when folding...p&t will send FREE finger gaurds...just ask!!
*punctures - ive never had one but you can get a green slime type stuff to stop the tyres going down
I lOVE my phil and have found no problems with it at all, if there is something that i think could be better its already been thought of and there is a solution there ready. OK, yes some of these solutions require you spend more money but most companies wont even come up with a solution at all!!
if you need spare parts they are EASY to get! phil and teds uk supplier is out n about and they send most things the next day!
call them on - 01234 344230
also call this number for FREE mudgaurds, finger gaurds and small replacement parts free too ie harness clips and poppers.
If you have the V1 e3 they will also give you replacement fabrics free too...this is the model with the zip on double seat.
if you need help or instructions go to -

all models are listed except the v1 but the v2 is very very similar. everything!
it grows as your child does and their is a solution for every "flaw" one day ill no longer need it :-(
Good – I was lent 2 prams with my 1st child (one a 3 wheeler Valco and the other a basic 3 wheeler). When I had my 2nd child 18 months after my 1st, I needed/wanted a double pram but I wanted one that could go back to a single easily. In comparison to the two single prams I had the Phil and Teds is fantastic. Yes, I agree with a lot of people, the brake… Read more
is difficult to get off particularly when it is new, but I actually don't mind that as I know it is secure. I would hate it to be the opposite and not reliable. Great resale value as a bonus. I would recommend this to anyone. This pram is great. It is very stable, doesn't tip, like other prams I have owned. It is very quick and easy to fold away and unfold. Light weight. Very easy and quick to convert to double pram.
Washing the material brings it back to looking brand new after the normal food/dirt marks. When it is in the baby position with the toddler in front, the toddler seat sagged so that the toddler was sitting on the baby's legs/feet once the baby had grown (not a tiny newborn anymore), but I found that it wasn't long before the baby could then sit up more and therefore be in the rear seat and the toddler could sit in front.
Otherwise just experienced the normal wear and tear on prams, a tear in the handle padding and wear on the material from when I push it into the boot of the car.
Best pram ever – I disagree with the comment with all the cons. I have loved this pram, it was easy and light and simple to open and close. I have had no problems with the straps and as with ost prams I have encountered there are moving parts and as long as you know where those moving parts are and keep your fingers clear then you will know to keep your fingers… Read more
away from them. I know the newer versions have had many changes made but I would not hesitate in recommending one of these to anyone. The brake is very secure and although I never leave any pram anywhere without pushing forward to make sure the brake is secure, once this brake is locked in, it is secure and will not come undone....you can operate the brake completely with your foot. I have travelled with the pram on a plane and pulled the wheels off easily and the handlebars, I was able to do this and pop it into the Phil and Teds pram travel bags all while waiting in the line at the checkin counter.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pram. Very hardy, sturdy, narrow enough to fit through cash registers and through shops, doesn't tip, secure brakes, great reversible handlebars, simple operation
Terrible – my mum has this pram for my little sister. i push my sister round everywhere and i get worried that it will tip or roll away. its not very sturdy and i find i hard just to relax while im pushing her. i think that its not safe and dont use it. i find that on a slope it can just go into its own fantasy world and just roll off. its very scary. i dont… Read more
see why people buy them. i have nearly had the pram roll into a pond so be careul if you are buying a pram 3 wheeler rolls so easily. 4 wheelers are much better.
is very sturdy.

OK – I wouldn't buy this stroller but it's okay as I was given it for free by a relative. The push is only average and the seat seems uncomfortable. However, it is very sturdy and can be loaded up with quite a bit of stuff and still push ok. Nice and well ventilated when flat in newborn mode - great in hot weather. Lies completely flat for newborn.… Read more
Folds easily. Nice size basket that is very accessible. Not tippy. Hood isn't very big. There is an awkward period when baby is not happy to lie flat anymore but can't sit up because the seat incline is too steep. The bucket style seat means baby is uncomfortable with bum lower than legs. Doesn't hold together when folded. A bit heavy.
Good – I had the e3 for 2 years and have just upgraded to the sport (which fixed most of the problems I had with this version) It was great for two children and while it can be difficult to load a baby in the back when in the baby/toddler mode I found the pram seat swayed a bit like a hammock and would always send my baby to sleep. I think it's a bit… Read more
outdated now but at the time it was a fabulous pram and I loved it Narrow enough to fit through shopping aisles, looks great, double kit can be used as shopping holder when not in use by child, large sunhoood, great resale value hardly any shopping space when doubles kit is on, extras are expensive, doesn't hold together when folded which can make lifting it into a car difficult, common (every second person has one)
Terrible – I would certainly do my research before buying a pram and do not trust the sales persons advice. Do not buy this pram The store I bought it from told me I should have done my research and why did I buy the pram. They told me they were fully aware of the issues with the brake. They advise me now (not when I bought it) that you need to have… Read more
sneakers on or use both hands. They have wiped their hands of it saying it is not a sellers problem. They sold it to me telling me it was the bees knees even though they were fully aware of the issues. mmmmm....Doesn't take up much room in the car. That's about it.
Oh and when we sent it off for repairs we were given a Strider for replacement which is by far a better pram. So far almost everything.
We bought this pram as our children will only be 13 months apart. I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and can not use the pram. I can not get the brake off without gettting on my hands and knees and using both hands. My husband is the only person that is able to get the brake off with his foot so it is not just because I am pregnant.
The right hand side brake only locks intermittently.
I have great difficulty folding up and unfolding the pram as the buttons are so flimsy.
The shade cover gives little to no protection from the sun and is already falling apart when barely used. Make sure you take umbrella for protection from the sun.
No customer service.
The pram was sent to the manufacturer who sent it back telling me there is nothing wrong with the pram.
In fact the note says on a scrap piece of paper "Checked Brake Pedal, Firm but no firmer to use than any other Sports E3. Please explain to customer that is the way they are".
There is no mention of the brake not locking sometimes.
We were also informed by the store we bought it from to say they have since brought out a brand new model with a new improved brake because Phil & Teds are aware of the brake issue.
Terrible – We by no means over use this pram but it has certainly not lasted the distance. I only use it when absolutely necessary and it is horrible to use. Try any other option before you buy this pram. HOlds two children of similar ages and there was almost nothing else on the market when we were looking. This is such a flimsy pram. Terrible – Do not buy this pram, it is definitely a piece of junk, and from the reviews i have read on this website i think nearly everyone agrees. off! Look elsewhere for a pram, trust me! Absolutely Everything. Its flimsy and a very cheap make. I will be complaining about the saftey of this pram to consumer affairs and demanding a refund, the brake is not usable... i have to bend over and pull it up with my hands (with great force), how can this be deemed to be safe if you need to move in an emergency. Also, when you have the toddler seat in the rear position with tolder seat reclined, you can not push the pram comfortably, your end up with a sore back and arms hurt by the end of it because you can not reach the handles properly, most of the times i end up walking next to the pram pushing it. Also, when trying to unfold the pram (which is nearly impossible alot of the times) the grey button is jammed, and trying to unlock it your thumb nearly snaps off from the force you need to unjam it. Also, the reclining buckles are nearly impossible to clip together (I am referring to the lower buckles) unless you are superwomen).
Excellent – All 3 of my kids loved it and the rocking motion was even enough to get my first born as a 2 year old resisting sleep to sleep. It's brilliant to be able to push with 1 hand while holding the hand of an older child, it has a great fitting sunshade and the toddler seat behind provides great sun protection too for my daughter who really through a… Read more
wobbly when the sun was fully on her as a baby. With 2 kids in it it's great to get my 19m twins through all doorways and through shopping traffic. It is lightweight but still sturdy, it goes up over curbs without having to stop. It is fantastic for sleep for newborns, in the newborn position (and the slightly elevated sleeping position for older kids) it gently rocks the baby from side to side as you walk. I love that it feels like it's pushing itself as there is very little resistance. As with all strollers with under seat baskets the basket is only accessible from the side when the seat is fully reclined.
Excellent – Its a excellent pram for any one who likes to get out and about with there kids and isn't worried about how funky there pram is. Its functional with 1 or 2 kids and you don't feel out of place at a sports event as majority of people have one. The best pram ever. walking/ running, can fit though shopping center register isles, travels well overseas, durable as had mine for 3 1/2 yrs (and only pram ever used), can buy replacement parts when they wear out, excellent with 2 kids as has additional toddlers seat. Don't get to complain with other mums about having to buy multiple prams as they've had a second child or they just hate the $1000 pram they bought as its too big. Not wanting to grab someone else's pram that looks identical to mine.
Good – Allows for a 2nd child at different stages. The zippers and clips cleverly allow the pram to change as the baby grows. It has accessories that also make the pram more usable through out the stages of the growth of the baby. Like the cocoon for newborn that fits snuggly and securely in the pram. The body also can be rocked to put the baby to… Read more

The fitted suncover is also great for walks and protects from the UV sun rays. easy to use - allows 2 children - baby / toddler & toddler / toddler no mud guards - this has been fixed on the new version (sport)
Good – i have gone thru 5 strollers and this is by far the best one for me ... i love how you can transport 2 children without a chunky side by side stroller. its versatile ... easy to manage 2 kids close in age, good getting thru isles, looks great i have the orange one and my toddler within a few months has made the part where you put ur feet on to rest look really grubby?? perhaps a darker colour for the footrest or a fabric easier to clean

Good – We love it. Can be a bit heavy, but they all are. It's heavy bc it's made out of durable materials, it's not plastic! Great design, easy to steer even with 2 kids in it. Both kids can go to sleep which makes it easier to go out. Great for shopping, if your 2nd child is shopping bags! I love that there is 2 options for the second seat. We don't… Read more
have 2 kids but I use it for shopping or taking only one stroller when out for with another mum. It's narrower than most so you can fit (just) through tight Coles checkouts, a lot of others can't. Not having a 2nd seat over the front wheel (like most other designs) is the best design ever as if you add 15kg toddler it will make the steering really hard, and this design doesn't do that. Also both kids can sleep where as the other seat style the toddler has to be awake as they need to hold themselves up. The zip tab often breaks as you are not suppose to lower or raise the seat with a baby in it, but you're hardly going to remove a baby to lower the seat! (I got around this by holding the seat in the position I was moving it to so I didn't put pressure on the zip) When you 1st get it the clips on the outside to lay it flat are really tight, they will loosen! The break is stiff to get on and off. In summer we thought the cacoon for a baby would be too hot, so our new born went in with out it but we had to put her in the wrong way without a restraint as it seemed to be more comfortable. Until you get the hang of t folding can be a bit tricky, but a breeze once you have done it a few times. Can be a bit heavy, but still 1 of the lightest options available with the features.
Good – I have had no problems with this pram & the add on second seat. I bought it when I had my second baby & my first was 2 1/2 years. With general everyday use & regular walks I am pleased with it's performance for the price. I would not bother buying the saddle bags as they are not easy to use. The sun shade provided very good coverage, but was… Read more
pretty difficult to put on. Now that my baby is 2 and older child nearly 5, I still use it for walking with the add on seat at the back. The fabric has been durable & easy to clean. Great for 2 kids, easy to get children in & out, light weight, narrow so fits through checkouts. The sun shade is not deep enough & I found using the seperate fly/sun shade a bit tricky.
Terrible – its a good pram and every one has problems with prams but 1 or 2 time yeah but not 4 and 2 of the same problem and the other 2 are from fixing them problems its a good pram coz i have 2 little ones but... i got my pram the end of dec o7 and i have had it fixed 3 times and still having the same problem now the store are going to fix it a 4th time and i would like to get a full refund or change it for another pram at the price i paid for mine
OK – This isn't a bad pram. handles really well on all terrain. You can lock the front wheel for jogging and let it swivel for everyday use. the safety harness is annoying and way too big for a young baby. No safe way of securing them. I found it hard to change between upright and incline positions. This is a really popular pram but there are a few… Read more
annoying things about it. great on rocky ground. folds up pretty well. easy to fold and unfold. not a good position for child that needs a gentle inclined seat. the safety harness is way too big for a young baby.
Excellent – light weight, holds two children comfortably, steering is fantastic and i love that you can use this pram from birth right through. its the perfect pram for those with two kids that like to walk or run. It is so versatile, easy to use and steering is fantastic! front wheel when folding is a little annoying cause it doesn't lock in place. But wasn't an issue really for me because the pram was so good in every other area.
Excellent – i bought this pram second hand, 4 years old. and it is awesome. nothing wrong with it, doesnt look "new" but its steers just as well. i am upgrading to the "vibe" but its revies are not as good as this, so not sure if its the right choice. toddler can be protected from the sun. so easy to steer and push. light for holding 2 children. the basket… Read more
underneath is a little hard to put things in, when you have the seat laying down for a newborn.
cannot have a nappy bag hanging.
cannot have a "drink caddy" hanging from the handle, as you cant see the newborn.
Bad – I find those that rave about the P&T either haven't had another pram, don't use the toddler attachment, or feel they have to love it to justify what they've spent. In my opinion, you can get better value for money and better design from many other, far cheaper prams. We still have the Beema Q we bought for our eldest daughter, and use that in… Read more
favour of the P&T whenever we can (e.g., on short outings when I can carry the youngest in the Baby Bjorn). While I often regret having bought the P&T, it is useful for long walks and fits in the small trunk of my car. For those with two toddlers there isn't much choice, unfortunately. Perhaps someone with some nouse about these things could fill the gap in the market - you'd make a killing! It appears to be the most compact pram for two children. Where do I start?! I really dislike this pram for the following reasons:
* The handle is too short. It should be telescopic, as you find yourself hunching over with the toddler seat on the bottom, which is particularly dangerous and uncomfortable going downhill. It is worse for my taller husband.
* Speaking of downhill, it really needs a handbrake on the handle. It is designed to carry two toddlers, which can get VERY heavy downhill (mine are a combined 22kg, and the pram is 13+ kg so it gets impossible to keep hold of).
* The basket underneath is way too small, and with the toddler seat on the bottom is totally useless.
* Unlike most prams on the market, there are no pockets for keys/phone/towels etc., unless you fork out for an additional attachment, which is too small anyway.
* Perhaps the worst issue is the foot brake, which is very hard to engage and disengage at any time, but virtually impossible to engage and disengage when the toddler seat is on. I always have to bend right over do it by hand, which is a pain in the back - literally!
* I bought the double sun shade, but it does not fit properly, nor can it be affixed, so it flops in on the baby underneath on a windy day or when travelling on an angle, usually waking said baby up!! I have had to use safety pins to hold it in place.
* Not a problem for us yet, but I notice the only way to clean it is to wipe it while still attached to the seat.
* The canopy on the upper seat is not as large as most others on the market and therefore offers less sun protection.
Terrible – My sincere advice is absolutlely, definitely do not buy this pram for only one child. If you have (or are planning to have) 2 babies who'll need a pram, at the same time, buy another brand for your first then get one of these later (perhaps second hand, to ensure the first owner has had no glitches 'cause you'll get NO customer service when… Read more
things go wrong). Also, if you were to buy all of the accessories that are supposed to make this pram half useable you'd have to fork out a fortune. Finally, after talking to many owners of this pram ALL are in agreement with me that this is a terrible contraption, so I have a suspicion that many of the *glowing* reports on this review site have been written by the manufacturers... Um, just about nothing. Possibly the worst pram on the market for one child, but just passable for 2 kids (only because there's little competition). I dislike everything about this pram. It is poorly designed, brakes can't be used without bending over to do it by hand (our brakes broke after just a few weeks due to flimsy design, so they're useless anyway), handle isn't long enough.... need I go on?
Excellent – Brilliant pram. I would buy it again despite the cons. It's a great price, works a treat, has good accessories and carries 2 kids. reasonably light-weight, very easy to move/get around corners etc, good tandem option and the cocoon you can get with it is AMAZING and really was fantastic for the first few months of our bubs life. available in a… Read more
good range of colours, very reasonably priced the brake is really hard to get on and off, it's a bit hard to get in and out of the boot but probably no harder than any other! the travel bags you attach don't work all that well - they weigh down too much if you put groceries on them and they get caught on the wheels easily.
Bad – Overall I really wish I had bought a different pram as I spent so much money on this pram and it has been problem after problem. Phil and Teds customer service don't return phone calls or even answer the phone and both Phil and Teds and my retailer constantly pass the buck. I wish there were more prams on the market with similar design of front… Read more
and back seats but less problems. This pram has been a time waster and caused way too much grief. Good ratings for the design, bad ratings for the constant problems and even worse for the after sales service. It has 2 seats front and back which makes things a bit easier with 2 babies that aren't walking and definately easier to get through isles. * It's difficult to put the baby in the back seat, you need to put this baby in first as already having one in the front makes it harder.
* When you have only a baby in the back you need to keep the brake on when not holding the pram as it tilt's back with the weight (my 2nd baby who goes in the back is 9 kg)
* There is a bar that goes across the top of the baby in the back's head so when they reach a certain height you need to zip the back seat up and bring it forward leaving less room for the baby and less room when you try and put the baby in the back
* I have had numerous problems with this pram and although no-one is willing to help with the fixing costs my retailer said I perhaps have a "lemon"
* After only 2 months the top hood kept popping open at the sides and wouldn't stay shut. Had a lot of work back and forth with my retailer and phil and teds before someone eventually sent out a new hood. I never place anything on the top hood so dont know how this could have happened
* I'm currently having a major problem with the front wheel locking into place continiously - it will do this 4 or 5 times per 100 metres and I have to stop, lift the front wheel, pull the pin and readjust the tyre. Move 10 metres and it does it again.
* We went out to dinner one night and found half of the front clip to keep the baby in the seat on the floor. I thought "well that's not mine" had a look at the pram and it was! There was no half ripping or loosening - it just came right off. My daughter wasn't wearing any clothes that would have cut it and it really looked like it had just been cut straight off with a pair of scissors.
* We got the free wheel covers from our retailer, opened the container and there was no screws in there... had to go back for another trip where again we got grief from them just for a replacement. We've fitted them now and they rub on the back tyre. My sister has the same pram and she said hers does the same thing.
Bad – Never again!! I couldn't wait to get back to using my Beema Q!!! But it's your only choice if you have a child past about 15kg who still needs to sit!! Easy to turn, holds 25kg on top and 15kg below no matter what position the baby and toddler are in. The fact that it carries a heavy toddler was a great reason to buy, and for us, we had no choice.… Read more
Lightweight. And that's where it ends. Breaks are hard on uncovered feet (I love thongs), I always have to "search" for them to put them on or to flick them off. I tend to reach down and do it by hand. To attach the toddler seat or to detach is the worst part. You need longer nails to detach the toddler seat, and most of the time you destroy your nails (breaking, splits or digs) without nails, it's almost impossible to get the seat off, and to attach you tend to pinch your fingers. And you have to take the toddler seat off to fold the pram. It doesn't have an automatic locking mechanism once folded. No cup holders. Most nappy bags won't hang over handle unless you are happy to not use the hood, and you're not using the toddler seat in either way. When the child or children are not in the pram and you have a normal nappy bag hanging over the handle it tips backwards, and at times the newborn can be too light and the pram can tip anyway. You have to get your child out of the pram to do up the back to sitting position, which is awkward enough anyway with the clips, and if they fall asleep in the sitting position you have to be very careful not to wake them to put them into lying position by releasing the clips or unzipping the sides. It's expensive enough without having to buy the accessories to make it easier for the mum, such as "saddle bags" instead of the normal over the handle nappy bag, "bum bag" just to get somewhere to put your purse, keys or phone for easy access.
Excellent – I love the versatility of this pram and maneouverability of it. If I was in the market for a new pram again today I would by a P& T all over again. The quality of the product in comparison to its price and in comparison with similar prams in this catagory it wins hands down Steers very well with one hand, light weight and compacts well for the… Read more
boot of the car. Made from hard wearing but easy to clean fabric for grubby children. Is narrow enough for most shopping aisles and check outs. Love the fact that with the latest model the removeable toddler seat now also has a bit of a lay back adjustment. I bought my P&T 3 years ago and it has been the best investment I ever made. Easy to erect and colapse. Compared to other prams that have a toddler seat or are tamdum/side by side arrangements, the P&T is highly superior for practicality and child comfort. Retains value for resale Limited storeage space but you can buy the pannia (saddle bags) bags to clip on each side. I found the break to be a bit hard to unlock but with age it has softened. In summer in Brisbane I found the lay flat baby area (with toddler seat in top position) to be lacking enough air flow and bub got quite hot. Also my front wheel goes flat very often despite changing the inner tube several times. Rain cover has to be bought as an extra and doesnt have a cup holder or tray on push bar.
OK – I'm disappointed with the quality of this pram and had it not been for the 2nd seat option which we knew we would need (as we had baby #2 18mths after having this pram), I would not purchase this. It has several options for adjustment, but all are a bit flimsy, and can't be done easily with baby in the pram. There is absolutely no where to put a… Read more
baby bag if you have 2 children in the pram, and no where for drink bottles etc. There are a lot accessories available for this, which is great. This was expensive for the quality you get for it, and if I had to do it again, I'd really look into a different pram with a toddler seat option, even if I had to pay a bit more. Has a toddler attachment option so good for 2 kids.
Can have full lying down position for sleeping baby with toddler seat or full sitting main seat with toddler seat. 2 levels of seating position (excluding lying flat). Reasonably lightweight esp for 2 seats. Lots of accessories. 3-wheel makes manouvering a lot easier. Flimsy make, lots of bits and parts become deformed and broken with normal use, our shade is bent/deformed and keeps falling off. No place to put baby bag with 2 children. Very limited storage, Basket is useless in lying down position. Accessories are expensive. Expensive if using as a single pram with no intent for toddler seat.

I agree with this. Also, the material rips so easily, and wears. And the tyres are a pain when they get punctured (not good)
