Rice Cooker 3000 Series We purchased the Rice Cooker 3000 Series at Myer in December 2023 in WA, expecting it to be a reliable, long-lasting appliance—especially given the price. This is not a cheap rice cooker, so we assumed the quality would reflect that. Unfortunately, it has already stopped working in less than 2 years. While cooking rice recently, the machine displayed an “E4” error halfway through the process and then shut down completely. This happened even though we use it only occasionally and have taken good care of it.

We expected a product of this price and brand to last at least five years. It’s disappointing to see it fail so soon. We would appreciate a resolution, whether that’s a replacement or a repair under warranty.

Purchased in at Kitchen Warehouse WA for $170.

Hi Philips Home Living team, Thanks again for your reply. Please see attached my receipt as proof of purchase. I bought the Philips Premium 3000 Series Rice and Multi Cooker online from Kitchen Warehouse on 2nd January 2023.

As previously mentioned, the unit stopped working partway through cooking and displayed an “E4” error. It hasn’t worked since, and we use it only occasionally. Given the price and brand, I didn’t expect it to fail this early.

I understand the platform doesn’t allow private messaging, but I would still prefer to communicate via email. If that’s not possible, I will contact your Customer Care team on the number provided.

Complete waste of money. Bought it because of the many cooking functions it was supposedly capable of. Tried it in its slow cooker function and following the cooking instructions set the timer and then went out. Came home expecting a nice meal, but instead found that it had burnt everything to a crisp. Very surprised it didn’t actually cause a fire. Contacted the supplier who told us to contact Phillips. They in turn wanted photos of the cooker for some unknown reason. Received notification from Phillips a few days later that stated that a technician had looked at the picture of the heating element and from a picture he had come to the conclusion that there was nothing wrong with the cooker. My question is how can anyone workout that there is either nothing wrong or there is something wrong by looking at a picture? I strongly advise anyone who is contemplating buying one of these cookers to not waste their time or money on this particular unit. Look instead at other brands.

The technicians review methods leave a lot to be desired. I submitted photos and the response I received was far from acceptable. I feel there may be something wrong with this machine that is actually internal and can not be photographed. As I stated within my review,, there was every chance that the unit could have burnt my home down.

Waste of money and space! – Waste of my money, am very disappointed! Bought it primarily to be a rice cooker… it cooks white rice into mush despite following the directions exactly !!! Also watched a YouTube video of rice cooking instructions… still mush. In desperation also tried to cook rice using a shorter cooking time. Still no fluffy rice. Am planning to toss this appliance… a waste of money and space! Bought a $14 kmart rice cooker…it works beautifully!!! Go figure!
