Purchased at Big w for $20.00.
Avent don't except faulty bottles back
Purchased 6 large Avent bottles (330 ml) but they were very faulty.
Fault 1: leakage
Fault 2: constant noise (psssssss)
Spoke to Avent managers but they couldn't help me
I am extremely disappointed with this purchase as each bottle cost me $12.95 and they faulty and Avent management doesn't care
No lingering odors like our plastic bottles!
We tried these glass bottles after baby number two was refusing expressed breast milk from our plastic bottles. She was usually a good rest, but was spitting out the milk. Then I got curious and tried some from the plastic bottle, and it was gross! I tried washing the plastic thoroughly, using vinegar, bicarb, etc. to remove any plastic taste in the milk, but after trying the glass the problem was solved! It wasn't a problem for baby number one, but if you might have a sensitive taster yet are worth trying. I did have some leaks early on, but that was my user error, so after practising a bit with water to see where I was going wrong it was all fine! No problems with flow, milk speed, size, or switching between breast and bottle.
It’s a 50/50 chance of getting a bottle that doesn’t leak! I don’t know if it’s a problem with the nipple or the part that hold the nipple.. but I had to toss a few bottles because they wouldn’t stop! I bought the plastic 3 pack 9 oz bottles. The bottles that do not have a leak problem work fine for the baby.
Good at first
I used these when my daughter was first born but once she got used to breastfeeding she started refusing the bottle in comparison to many other bottles I then purchased I realized how much harder the teat was so I stoped using them, we did retry but she didn’t want a bar of it. Some leakages but not a terrible product, just not a preferred one.
Worst product absolutely awfull constant leaks
These bottles leak all the time makes mixing formula a pain. Leaks all over baby during feeding. Complete waste of time money! Have both plastic and glass they all leak from both the nipple and the ring. Will be replacing the entire set. As these are useless I hate waste in landfills but it's impossible to use this poorly designed product. The company should be embarrassed
Wouldn't recommend - lids are hard to remove
I used Avent's natural bottles for my newborn and still do as it was the brand I was most familiar with. Had I known a little more, I wouldn't have bought this product or brand. There's many others to choose form clearly.
What is great about their bottle is that it does what you would expect. My baby got a good solid feed. What I do not like ids that the lid is incredibly difficult to remove, especially with wet hands. It's one thing I can definitely live without the hassle of. By the way I've been using Pigeon's wide neck teats as they match, though does have a bit of leakage.
No leaks. Easy to use. No more colic!
Love these bottles. We were using the Avent classic bottles but my 8 week old started getting colic. I swapped to the natural and no more colic! They have never leaked and are easy to use. Since birth I've been a mixed feeder, breastfeeding all day and giving one to two bottles of formula at night. I don't mind the cost. They seem about the same as other brands.
We found them easy to clean and they didn’t discolour as we have found with previous bottles. However we find them to significantly leak when shaken (gently) and very easily opened when feeding Bub. The lids definitely need more room to screw the lids on. Huge improvement on their other models (with the blue rings inside)
Love this product
Love this bottle. I have bought the natural range in multiple sizes. And the option of coloured plastic or glass is great. I also love that all the screw on lids are interchangeable (lids not teats). Means I can use her avent sippy cup top on her bottles (and vice versa). Only downside is the cost of teats.
This isn't as bad as people say but for the price, I wish it could have performed better
I use this with my five month old baby and figured that this bottles leaks and the milk flow is a little too fast for my baby. Oftentimes, the milk just goes off her mouth which is nothing but a mess. One thing I love though is the super soft petal/nipples that comes with this. it instantly latches on my baby's mouth without a fuss.
Avent compact Manual breast pump
Plz I suggest people not to buy Avent products...one of the fake company...i purchased avent manual breast pump and the product is defective and they are not replacing the product and not refunding the amount....and plz use mee mee products it is very very good than avent....finally i can say people plz stop using the worst avent products....
Avent bottles leak all the time especially during mixing! Also when I transport them filled with water..they leak everywhere. Really disappointed with this product as I changed to them after using another brand because I heard good things. Most definitely wont be recommending them to any of my pregnant friends.
Do not like it
I have been given the Avent natural bottle with number 1 newborn teat and gave it a try. The teat looks intriguing but the flow is just too fast for my two month old baby and she looks like she is going to choke on it. I am fed up with the constant dripping and spitting of the milk and will prefer not to use it.
Newborn 0+ teats are too fast for a newborn
I have used avent classic in the past with no problems. So with my 2nd child I didn't hesitate to buy the avent natural bottles for my newborn. The newborn teat 0+ is just way too fast. My daughter would keep coughing, bring up milk and have excess wind. I am really disappointed in this product. This is how babies develop colic. And it says anti-colic on the box. I know it's the bottle that is the cause because we used bottles from the hospital and she had no problem like the ones mentioned above. We have switched to dr browns bottles. It's just a shame as we spent so much money purchasing avent bottles that we can't even use now. Avent need to reconsider making the hole smaller for their newborn teats.
Needs to be recalled! Can't believe the issues we've had!
In our excitement of finding out we were expecting our second child we raced out and started getting set up for the new Bub. First thing without hesitation we went to our trusted brand philips avent and got stocked up on six 0m+ Natural tear bottles, six 2m+ 260ml naturals, a full sterilisation system, bottle brush, formula container, pacifiers you name it we got it. The reason being was our son fed and grew beautifully on the classic bottles.
Flash forward, home from hospital, using our fancy new bottles, we found she wasn't feeding too well, spitting a lot? No. Rejecting it? No. Bottles leaking like a pin to a water balloon? Most definitely. Now yes they are completely assembled correctly and yes we are feeding correctly. So here's the potential issues with this and we have experienced them, soaked baby (not just a little chin wipe, full top half soaked), wind and fussiness on feeds, ear infections from formula spillage, generally unsettled due to lack of formula. Not fun!
The second issue is the measurements. Upon some research into these bottles I realised this was a common trait, however a secondary issue has been, the measuring guide on the bottles being off. I thought "may as well check that too". So with multiple measuring items I tested my bottles out and of course we have this issue too. On two of the bottles they were 15ml out! Now add that up over the course of the day doing 7 feeds thats almost a whole extra 1-2 bottles we were feeding our child in straight water. Now I'm not sure if you've heard of water intoxication in infants. Very serious and can be fatal. So I marked out my own measurements with a faithful sharpie, to keep things on track. As you could imagine spending another few hundreds on bottles can be frustrating when you thought you could trust a product.
Now don't get me wrong I'm not bashing Philips avent here, I'm just warning of potential issues with the product. Parents may want to consider their classic+ range. We will be switching to the classic+ bottles as they don't leak like the naturals. But I will be contacting philips regarding these issues with the natural range as I would hope a recall or safety notice is released on these items also as I would like a replacement or some form of reimbursement on the items. Hope this has helped as I would hate for more parents to go through all this, it's hard enough as it is.
I have struggled with medela bottles that leak so much milk. After months of frustration and buying more teats and seals for the medela bottles, I came across someone who recommended the Avent bottles. My daughter uses the avent dummies so I thought it was worth a try. Oh my goodness! Why didn't someone recommend this to me earlier? She accepted the bottle straight away and there is absolutely NO leakage with this bottle or the teats. I am so disappointed that I wasted so much money with Medela as this bottle is truly amazing. I am not sure which model it is as I couldn't find it on the box but it is the philips avent natural from the chemist warehouse. I would recommend this bottle. I am surprised with the low reviews as I haven't had any problems.
I don't know if this is just my baby's latching issue or the teats itself but whenever I feed her, milk are spilling out on both sides of her mouth. I have both the classic and natural but both is having the same issue. I'm thinking of trying bottles which are not wide neck and slimmer teats as I'm a little frustrated with the milk spills.
Bad choice continue using Avent product for 2nd baby.
Some Avent teat will bending inward when baby are feeding, which make baby very upset not getting the milk. Buying the Avent teat is like gambling, some work fine and some don't. Have threw out about 6 set of teat that just don't work.
The cap are worst design as well, can't be open with one hand.
Buying new feeding bottle is also gambling. Had few that has strong plastic smell after sterilizing. Strangling some bottle don't those plastic smell.
Worst teat ever
These are the worst teats.. Milk stops flowing while baby is feeding.. I tried calling their customer service and Lady just kept on going how great this product is.. She gave me a tip on how to fix the vaccum problem, I tried it but it doesn't work... Issue is still there...
I just want to know if there is any other teat in market which will work with these bottles otherwise I have to throw it away.. I have the full set and is just useless right now..
