4 Amihan  · Good helps bills – Good for cook family dinner. Saves electricity bills don't have to heat oven up.
5 Bi G.  · Oh yeah – Biggest and best by far. Gets me going all right
4 Lisa Jones  · Excellent airfryer! – Cooks food quickly and evenly. One downside is that you cant seem to brown food more because once it detects it is cooked it turns off.

I did like my air fryer until the non stick coating started to chip off in the bowl where the legs of the plate above meet. It is now unsafe to use. It wasn't a frequently used appliance and despite handwashing and maintaining gently, Philips fobbed me off because it was out of warranty, citing 'wear and tear', telling me to buy a replacement… Read more

part. Clearly not, as it's a design issue. The chipping is not occurring anywhere else in the bowl, just where the plate meets. I asked in a Philips Facebook group if others had the same issue, many came forward and said yes, even after just a couple of months handsome had them replaced multiple times. I took this to Philips customer service and they have completely ignored me. For a $600 machine it's ridiculous, I expect years of safe use. Seems they don't stand by their product or care about their customers. I am considering going to Fair Trade because the expected product life for an item of that cost is definitely more than 1 year. Needless to say, I don't want my next one to be Philips and will tell friends and family that they don't take responsibility for for a product with a design fault and their customer service and care is non existent.

Would recommend – Pretty happy with our current air fryer. I always have to adjust the cooking time as it runs hot but overall it gets the job done! Never have to preheat either which is a bonus. Easy to chuck the basket in the dishwasher. Show reply

Non-stick elements peeled. Corrosion/rust started – Not recommended. It doesn't get used often in our household. The non-stick element coating has peeled and corrosion/rust started to show. Show details

It’s basically replaced my oven!! – I know I’m a few years late to the Air Fryer party but it was worth the wait!! I was gifted the XXL Philips air fryer for my birthday and it’s up there as one of my favourite kitchen appliances I own. So far I’ve cooked omelettes, salmon, waffles, muffins, roast chips and potatoes, pies and nuggets!! And best of all I have SO much more to… Read more ·  1

experiment & cook in there still, which has made me get excited about cooking again.

Benefits: • Saves cooking time & electricity. I previously used by oven daily, now I’m lucky to use it once a week since owning this air fryer. • Healthier - I don’t need to cook with as much olive oil as I did using my oven • Food cooks much more evenly and is crispier also • Perfect size for my family of 4 • Very easy to use! Even my teenagers use it daily • Easy to clean • Looks very stylish in my kitchen • Not too noisy

The auto sensor is a great feature, but I don’t find I use it as much as I should. As I’m just in the habit of looking up recipes and using the manual setting, but it’s great to have the option with their machine. And I will continue to experiment with it and see which ones work best for what I’m cooking.

I highly recommend this air fryer! Size, Quality, Style, Performance, it ticks all the boxes for a family sized, premium quality air fryer ✔️

Makes Life Easy – Wow, now that I've mastered the idea of using the air fryer, I've found it great after a busy work day. So quick and easy to use. I bought the paper liners which leave no mess and go straight in the bin. The food is cooked in no time. Show details ·  1

I wish I had bought it earlier! Can’t live without it! – Last year for Black Friday sales, I got myself an Airfryer. An item on my wish-list but as I have an oven and a combi-microwave, this item was always pushed to bottom of the “I want list…” There was always the objection from my husband, how much space will it take? Do you really need it? How often will you use it? Do we need another gadget? Etc….… Read more ·  1

All the questions that a logical husband with an accounting background would ask. There were also the alternate products in the market that are supposedly as good as a Phillips Airfryer and sometimes even at half the price. But my research - reading reviews on various websites as well as feedback from a foodie friend who cooks amazing stuff had convinced me that this was ***the** airfryer to buy. After having used it at least 2-3 times every week over the last year, I have answers for my husband! It hardly takes space on our tight kitchen bench. It’s convenient to use for two people on a daily basis but also for a small party when you have visitors. The best part is it has reduced our already low oil consumption even more. I have baked cakes in it, made French fries, made pizza from scratch with my god children, reheated food (even frozen goodies) so it becomes crispy and not soggy like in a microwave! Just the other day, I made a small cake that would have taken 40 minutes according to the recipe in a standard oven in less than 20 minutes, so yes I saved energy - small area heat & less time used. Do we need yet another gadget? After you own this one many of your other gadget will become useless! No smell of reheated oil around the house. Most of all cleaning it is a breeze. I do tend to clean it after every use. Some bits even go straight in to the dishwasher. I was so impressed with this kitchen aid tool,I even gifted two of these to my sisters-in-law in India and recommended it to a friend who has bought one now!

Gas saver. All the mod cons – A good deal on this unit and the mod cons of slide out draw made this a stand out over other units. Also it has an insert to seperate food so using with a coeliac in house helps. Though the accessories are extremely overpriced for what they are. The free app has great recipes and tips. sense tech seems to be close and auto adjusting for some core cooking items. One less need to heat up oven and even seems to cook some items better, like gems.

Pros: - easy to use - easy to clean and disassemble - the pull out and handle per user guide are dishwasher safe. (So they say) - cooks food more evenly. - faster cooking in some cases half the time than 400cm oven. - expanding our cooking options to more baking recipes - app is more useful than you think - smart cooking features allow “press and forget”

Cons: - Philips accessories are not affordable for what they are. - food separator plate does not come in box with the separator tray. like in the accessory pack sold separately. Contacted Philips and they can’t sell me one separately. - takes up a lot of space on bench (as do most) - louder than we expected. - tray may be small capacity for larger meals (faster means some things you can batch)

TIP: - some affordable accessories online. - ensure you give it plenty of space around the sides as it will generate a lot of hot air.

So much faster then an oven and tastes good! – I must say I do love my airfryer. I use it a few times a week. The size is great for a family of 5. I find it much faster then my oven and the food tastes good. I googled before buying it and they say it's like a gloried oven but I don't think that's true. Food does taste really good in it. Frozen food can dry out in the oven but doesn't seem to… Read more ·  2

do that in the airfryer. Also I accidentally burn things while grilling in my oven but in the airfryer my homemade patties cooked perfectly. I find it easy to clean. There are a few parts to it but it really isn't hard. I make a lot of homemade chips also and find it way better to clean then a deep fryer or oil in a pot. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is after 3months of owning it the handle broke. It was also Covid lockdown so no shops were opened and had to use it for another 3months broken. I was shaking the food and it just fell apart. I could see where the screw came off but never found the screw...hopefully no one ate it and there was no way of getting inside the handle to put one back. I took it back to Myer who were wonderful and swapped it for a new one. Cross fingers this one last longer. I have had the new one for about 2 months now.

Crispy, Crunchy, Well cooked food without the Fat / Oil – This is the second Air Fryer I've owned by Philips. My first one died after 5 years of use and I raced out the same day and got the new one for the same price as it was on special from The Good Guys. We use the air fryer daily. We love our battered fish, chips, dim sims, pork belly, chicken, hash browns, potato cakes, etc and the air fryer does… Read more

it quicker than the oven and you can see the oil on the base that you're not consuming now that it's not soaking in it.

This air fryer gives you a few options on it's display to pick from pre installed options for use , from cake making, frozen foods, meat, chicken, fish and a manual mode. You don't need to preheat this model unlike the previous, once you set your preferences and hit the big button it's good to start cooking. It stops cooking once the timer counts down and you can alter the time and temp during cooking quite easily.

This model is a dream to clean as well, the basket once removed has a removable wire rack at the base that just pops out. Then at the base of the big basket is another removable part that can all go in the dishwasher (some top shelf). If you keep on top of cleaning it regularly it will remain nice and clean and free from fat build up.

It's not too noisy and I often use it when my toddler is napping or asleep at night.

Overall we are really impressed with this purchase and despite the price tag it's worth every cent. Has a permanent home on my bench.

PRO- - dishwasher proof - cooks well and quickly - fat / oil reduced cooking - no preheating needed - quiet - built in options - manual mode - large enough to cook for family - large basket - cooks evenly (just give chips etc a shake now and then)

CONS - - have to keep on top of cleaning to avoid fat build up and corrosion - price tag (whilst worth it , not everyone could afford it)

Life changing machine – I have this for a few years now. After a friend recommended it, I asked and received it as a present from family. It’s life changing - so easy to use and easy clean. Amazing – Still in the process of learning, but I can immediately say it does a lovely job of crisping up without drying out. I am using my additional Baking dish to do lasagne tonight! The size of the unit is wonderful and the stacker tray allows you to utilise the large capacity. Definately still on L plates! Show details ·  3

Very disappointing heating element gone – Model is actually ***HD9651*** STILL XXL. We have had it for 3 1/2 years, hardly used it, maybe once or twice a month. And the heating element has gone! Out of warranty and cost about $420! Terrible quality. Looks like the new heating element is $90....great

Horrible to keep clean but product does perform well – I don’t normally leave reviews but wanted to vent a little. I like the product, have been using it for 7 months but after a while started to notice grease being deposited onto the outside of the basket that could not be removed by dishwasher, baking powder, dish liquid or even hard scrubbing … I’m not recommending this product for the reason. If you can’t clean it properly then this effects the quality of the food being cooked Show details

Loved it, now broken – Purchased this during March 2021. It has been an absolute beast, accurate sensing and cooking. Amazing results, however it died. Phillips really don't appear to make appliances that last much beyond warranty as I've had shavers share the same fate. I don't know if we'll purchase another one given it will likely only last 2.5 years :( .

Not a day we don’t use it – I’d a done a heap of research into which Air Fryer to get for our family, which included reviews from product review.com.au and had decided that the Philips Digital was the one just right for our family. Philips Airfryer XXL – I have used this airfryer everyday for 4 years. It’s a perfect all round appliance that replaces the oven and cooktop for many meals. Brilliant. Worth the $$$ – No question this AF is expensive compared to others. However it is also excellent compared to others. It is the forth AF I have owned. expired, and worked out cheaper to buy a new one than have it repaired. The third one was around $250 and I hate it as so hard and fiddly to use and clean - just use it for chips or reheating pies. Then there is this one that cost about $700 for the AF and I spent another $100 on the pizza tray and a pie tin. Wish I had skipped the other three and just invested in this one to begin with. Cooks everything brilliantly and super easy to clean.

Super fast and super even cooking – I bought two Aldi Cheapies. One failed at first use and the other about 8 weeks later.
