Purchased the analog XXL large model to replace a previous air fryer. Is a great size and the uses seem to be endless, used for cooking traditional deep fried items, but have also use to cook bacon, sausages, pastries, toasted sandwiches, small roasts and my son has even cooked eggs in their shells. It gets used nearly every day.
Pros: good size for my large family, does a fantastic job of crisping things up and in a portion of the time it would take in an oven. Wonder why I persevered with my old air fryer for so long The frying tray ...
Read moreis on a nice track which slides nicely, which I have not seen in other models. It all pulls apart for easy cleaning. Nice solid footprint, so no risk of toppling. Much cheaper than the digital option. The dials are really easy to use, unsure what benefit digital would add to the experience. Cons: The materials used in cooking tray etc, do not clean easily.- Build Quality

Philips Analog Airfryer XXL HD9630/21 - timer numbers disappeared
I have same problem as others on this posting - my timer numbers completely disappeared within 12 months. Only used damp cloth to clean outside (water only) - no abrasive cleaners. Is there a template so I could put the numbers back on or can you now buy a dial with the numbers on it. Happy with the machine, but guessing the times.

Kind regards, The Philips Australia TeamWorks well but when I cooked some turkey pieces I had to scrub the "non stick" bottom of the cooker for 20 minutes plus with a plastic scourer to clean the burnt on residue. The meat wasn't over cooked but even after soaking overnight in dish washing liquid and water it was very difficult to clean.
The bottom of the cooker had previously shown signs of discolouration even after cooking frozen fries at the recommended settings.
Purchased 09.09.2021 and expected better.
Will be returned for refund.

We bought the XXL non-digital. This is our first airfryer and after 1 week we are very happy with what it can do - great for quick snacks for the kids. This unit is very simple - just 2 analogue dials and very easy for the kids (teenagers) to make their own snacks. One thing you should be aware of (we weren't) - it is very loud. Like a slightly muted leaf blower. I am not sure if all airfryers are like this but if there are quieter ones I would probably go that way in future. This one is very intrusive.

This is the first air fryer we bought and we absolutely love it. The reason we bought it was the great price combined with the cheap (affordable) price as compared to other air fryers. This is an XXL size and some much smaller air fryers sell for a similar price.
The air fryer isn't a digital display but it is very easy to use and very easy to cook food perfectly so I am not sure how a digital display would benefit us.
The controls are very easy to use with an accurate temperature control and timer. They are very accurate as compared to an...
Read more oven where 170 degrees could be 160 or 180 depending on how old it is, leak at the door etc etc. The cooking compartment is huge and the cooking container is very easy to clean as it comes apart and it can all be soaked in the sink. Some other air fryers we looked at can only be dipped into the sink as parts of the cooking compartment are not designed to be soaked in water. The air fryer cooks and reheats food fabulously, for instance KFC chicken tastes better after going cold and being cooked in the air fryer. It also maintains its crispiness. Other simple food like chicken winglets taste much better as compared to when we cook on the frying pan and are much healthier because so much fat drips into the tray at the bottom when cooking.Purchased in .

My coating is coming off after 2+ years. I did read a review where with one client it happened after one week. I wonder if it is contaminating my food with this breakdown. For a quality product this should not happen. I rang Phillips and they said it is safe and you can buy a spare part. I cannot trust what they say. If Phillips prides itself on quality products which I doubt after there sleep apnea issue then you would have to doubt.
We are excited when buy products in good faith from these multinationals which can come back at you with a vengeance. Not happy Jan!

Kind regards, The Philips Australia TeamWe bought this to replace a t-fal actify which we can't find anymore, which lasted us for 8 years and various replacement parts that wore out.
This airfryer compared to the actrify:
1. Big, bulky, loud, and doesn't cook enough chips at a time.
2. No rotation / circulation -- you have to manually shift the chips around so they cook evenly.
3. Absolutely awful to clean -- Lots of hard-to clean areas inside the cooking basket / drawer that grease builds up on
4. Fragile and complicated -- the clunky cooking drawer was dropped and the handle broke -- now the entire machine is worthless. We were using it regularly for the kids chips, but neither of us was disappointed that it broke.

Had the unit since 9/2020 and loving it.
It has been cleaned well with a non-abrasive sponge.
The disappointment came a few days ago I noticed the bottom pan's coating had a few bubbles and it then peeled off. Those tiny white spots are the outcome after the black coating came off.
On the good side, it cooks perfectly well and shorten the cooking time.
It is an alternative to the stove/microwave for me.

This airfryer has helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle. I have used this air fryer for all types of meals prepared including savoury snacks, fish and chips. It fries the food in approximately 10-20 minutes. Only problem I faced so far is that the drawer can be sometimes hard to shut and and I accidently dropped it because the handle is a bit hard to grip. Can be cleaned easily and can use a second tier for cooking two types of food.

Does its job well. The only complaint we have is that the drawer compartment is slightly flimsy and sometimes doesn't close flush to the body.
I find the internals easy to clean, and the overall quality and performance good.
