Philips PureProtect 3200 Series AC3220/10

Very good - although apparently we have been living in the red zone and nobody thought to tell us. Bought the Philips Air Purifier 3200 to deal with dog hair and general airborne allergens in a place we’ve just moved into. So far, it’s doing an excellent job. The air genuinely feels fresher, and it’s reassuring to see it actually responding to what’s going on around it. It occasionally shoots into the red zone which has been both useful and slightly alarming. We honestly didn’t realise we were quite so compromised. It also reacts brilliantly to things like cooking smoke - which is actually a great sign. You can see it detecting the change and getting to work. Paid around $400 from Amazon and, so far, I’d say it’s worth it. The downsides: it’s quite large and a bit heavy, and because it’s corded, you need to be careful not to trip over the cable. It’s also a bit bulky if you want to move it from room to room regularly. But for sitting in one area and quietly doing its job? Very impressed.

The Philips 3200i air purifier does a great job. For us it has been terrific, we use it in our large living area to eliminate cooking smells, pet bird dander reduced and is dust greatly reduced. We bought it because of allergies and are so impressed we are looking to buy smaller units for bedrooms. The light around the top and parts per million number allows you to quickly tell if air quality and the controls are easy to use.

It has been especially good to remove bird dander in the area our beloved pets live. With lower ongoing cost of annual filter replacement, it has been a good investment.

The only suggestion we would make to Philip's is please put a handle on top to make picking it up and moving it easy. It is quite cumbersome to move. The design is great & being able to use night mode / turn light off / high flow setting are all very useful & it's very easy to use and low energy consumption. Very happy with our purchase. It was especially good when a neighbour decided to have a fire. Set the purifier on high flow and it got rid of acrid smoke very efficiently.
