Big Phil – We have used this purifier daily since November 2022 in the living room of our home. It is very quiet in auto mode. It will turn itself up when it detects deterioration in air quality. This usually happens when we are cooking, because our range hood is pretty ineffective. It is efficient in removing cooking smells from the room and then turns… Read more ·  1

itself down again. We are happy with it. Filters seem long lasting and we have not needed to replace filter in first 6 months.

Very disappointing performance – Extremely disappointed with our decision of buying the Philips 2000i air purifier. We purchased this unit because we got a new carpet installed a few days ago and the smell in our nursery is still strong suggesting our carpet is still off-gassing with lots of VOCs in the air. Philips advertises its air purifier as being able to filter out odours… Read more

and gases. However it’s been running continuously since yesterday in my baby’s small bedroom with doors and windows closed on turbo mode with no improvements. The unit has been giving us a rating of 1 since the moment we started it (which is the best air quality you can get), when the room actually strongly smells like chemicals.

The unit seems to detect larger particles (test done with dust), but the sensors are unable to detect the strong smelling gas emitted from our carpet and the poor quality filter seems totally inefficient in treating the gases and odours.

Love it so far – This is so quiet compared to the similar sized (other brand) unit I’ve been using. Seems great, good airflow, easy to set up the app. Left it on overnight for the first time last night and no blocked nose this morning, woohoo! The only thing that hasn’t worked perfectly is the connect to Siri option on the app didn’t work, but that’s only a minor thing. Need a second one for the other end of the house now! Show details ·  3

Specs on box don’t match product and retailer websites – The Philips website says this covers up to 98sqm and has a CADR of 380m3/h. The Bing Lee listing refers to a CADR of 330m3/hr. I bought the product the other day and came back from the store to see that the box states it covers up to 85sqm with a CADR of 330m3/h. Have spoken with Philips a couple of times. They can’t tell me if it’s a misprint… Read more

on the box or if a hardware revision has been made etc.

I haven’t been able to use the product, as Bing Lee tell me I can’t return it once it’s been used. Which in itself is weird.

I really want to be able to use this. I just need to know what actual specs I’m working with and why they are different?

Wish I got this one first – I purchased this when another one (different model) ceased working after a few months (and it had to go back for repair under warranty), and I realised how much a difference the air purifier made with helping to manage hay fever symptoms. Within the first day, I realised, I wished I purchased this model originally. It does a great job at filtering… Read more ·  1

the air, and relatively quietly. I like the option of the turbo and soft modes, the soft mode is great for nights. Though in reality, it's kept on auto mode most the time. It's not noisy, it's easy to keep clean, and change the filter, and is easy to keep out of the way whilst its doing its job. I move it between a few rooms as needed, though it doesn't appear to be designed for this (there's no handle, and it's a little awkward to carry it, especially because of its cylindrical shape). But, it's not a huge inconvenience (I don't move it every day, just a few times a week). Most importantly though, I don't wake up with hayfever symptoms. And the filter appears to be easy to clean, and replace (and there appeared to be plenty available when I purchased this unit).

Great for bigger areas, quiet – I have been using this air purifier for 2 months now. I have had two other brands of air purifiers and they key reason for changing brands was lack of availability of replacement air filters. Availability of replacement air filters was a key purchase consideration and given Philips have been in air purifiers now for quite a while and replacement… Read more ·  1

filters are available in stores and on Philips website hopefully I will have this product for quite some time. What I like about this product is the quietness of the fan. Sure it gets noisy when it detects impure air and it needs to clean the air rapidly but it does so quieter than previous brands I have had before. I think it could be the cylindrical design. The cylinder design also means it takes in air from a 360 degree area and exhales the air 360 degrees, this helps rotate the air in the room and it cleans faster. I like the reminder to clean the prefilter on the air filter. One thing I think it could do better is filter out cooking odours. While it does reduce the amount of cooking odours I would like it be more sensitive to cooking odours. I would recommend this product especially for larger areas
