Good App, Poor Battery – The app has been recently updated and works well and is easy to use. The sleep tracker works well, if you have a solid sleep, and has a breakdown of restful sleep and restless sleep. It works well with the heart rate monitor, however the heart rate monitor will not work correctly with gym equipment. For example on a treadmill my heart rate… Read more
might be 165bpm, but on the treadmill it could be 165 but suddenly drop to 120bpm. If i do not sync the loop with the heart rate monitor then it works fine on the treadmill.
Records steps and calories well.
What i don't like about the Polar Loop and the reason for the 2 stars is the battery life, I cannot get more than three days, and even less if you sync with a heart rate monitor for half a day.
Good but lacks syncing with other Polar products and Strava – 1. Good activity tracker with great feedback on the wrist strap. 2. Sleep results often not accurate due Loop being unable to account for middle of the night toilet or water wake-ups, ie. in bed 7 hours and it only recorded 2hrs of sleep time. 3. Comfortable and stylish wrist strap. 4. No syncing with other Polar devices, such as Polar… Read more
Personal Trainer.
5. If using a Polar heart rate transmitter strap, Strava and Polar Loop are not able to both be active at the same time. A limitation of Bluetooth LE I hear. Therefore, I choose Strava over Loop (Polar Flow).
6. Polar say they are working on being able to export Polar Personal Trainer information into Polar Flow, was due November 2014 but still not here. They also claim to be working with Strava. It is frustrating that Polar Loop does not have all my activity data. If they could achieve at least 1 sync with Strava or Polar Personal Trainer I would give this product a 5/5 review.
7. Polar on Facebook have been unable to help me understand why the sleep function does not work that well for me. Customer service is average, at best.
In summary, if you use Polar Personal Trainer or Strava, I would hold off buying until Polar the sync/export ability with Strava or Polar Personal Trainer. If you do not need to sync with these products, then its a definite buy recommendation.
