Ordered a set of upgraded intercooler hoses for a QF Pajero Sport. Fast post, received quickly. Finally fitted today. Hot side hose is much longer than genuine so had to cut to size so it didn’t crease too much. Also had to use original Pajero hose clamps as the suppled ones wouldn’t tighten up properly. I don’t recommend these guys for this particular item.
Bad quality and service – Over 1yr later, still ongoing bad suspension noises that were never resolved, Bullbar was fitted and not tighnted (now I have a damaged guard also) and these guys charged me to fit it properly AGAIN. Avoid at all cost
roof racks – I wanted to order Yakima roof racks waited for 3 days for the staff to call me back as they were not in stock. Each time I rang the worker dealing with my order was on the other phone . I was advised he would call be back.I was further quoted by Pro 4x4 $450 to put the roof racks on when a mechanic quoted $90 or you could do yourself.I then rang roof rack world same price free delivery so I didnt have to go in to pick up. So if not for the poor service by Pro 4x4 i would not had contacted Roof rack world.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS – Recently I had my 79 serviced by Pro 4x4, I purchased my 79 second hand in late 2022, and was aware of some lingering issues with the vehicle, so I wanted to have it fully looked over before a big trip to the NT. On the 16th of May I dropped my Landcruiser 79 off to Pro 4x4. My car has a Superior Engineering Outback Tourer kit installed and this service Centre was one that specialises in that specific GVM upgrade. The car had a few squeaks, handling issues and annoying rattles that I wanted addressed.
After dropping the vehicle off I was emailed with a list of things that needed to be repaired on the vehicle. I had no problem with these items and was willing to pay whatever was needed to get my car back on the road.
It was a long list, and was aware that parts needed to be sourced, most importantly diff bearings for the front diff. I was told the parts would arrive on Friday and be installed on the Monday.
So Monday the 22nd of May came, and I heard nothing from Pro 4x4……I then reached out and called them, I was told I’d be called back ASAP in relation to the vehicle….at 2:40pm I was told the vehicle isn’t ready.
Tuesday the 23rd of May, I called again, I was told that someone would call me back immediately, but once again after calling at 11:30AM, I was called back a 2:40pm advising that the diff bearings had been installed however a brake booster issue had appeared, they claimed the original Superior Engineering Brake Boosters were faulty and this one would need to be replaced.
I arrived on the Wednesday to pick up the vehicle and drove it home only to then get a series of fault lights with the ABS and Traction control system, weirdly the previous noted issue of a “faulty brake booster” disappeared and the car drove normally, telling me that the brake booster wasn’t the issue, and perhaps it was the ABS system.
I then drove back to Pro 4x4 with the car and was met by one of the technicians there who diagnosed the car with their almighty scan tool, but was still adamant it was brake booster issue, although all the information I had just told them.
I left the car with them to rectify the issue on the 24th of May. After having the car for 5 days, I still heard nothing from them, their lack of communication was starting to become laughable. Finally, I was called by the owner and they told me that they would personally take the car to their mate at Toyota and get their advice on the vehicle. They also agreed It was an ABS issue…surprise surprise.
I was called on Friday the 2nd of June, this time the mechanic said these exact words to me “We replaced 2 ABS sensors and the problem is now 50% fixed, we also discovered a broken sensor ring, so we will replace that also and that should fix the problem” I’m not sure if they think I have rocks in my head, but I’m well aware that the sole issue was the sensor ring and not anything to do with the 2 $400 each ABS sensors.
I digress, after almost 3 weeks, $6100 and problems that didn’t exist when I dropped off the vehicle, I was finally reunited with my pride and joy, only to find the state of the vehicle was not how I had left it. I know I can’t speak for everyone, but I treat this car like my child, cleaned inside and out weekly, I take pride in my car and its presentation….Well, it doesn’t seem like Pro 4x4 feels the same way, see below for some shots of the driver side door on pickup.
If you want a new bull bar or some fancy wheels installed on your DMAX, sure go here, but if you want your $180,000 Landcruiser looked after, I’d say go elsewhere.
Negative – Would select zero stars if possible. Attempting to warranty a UHF with [Name Removed] at Pro4x4. My experience has been exceptionally negative with almost complete lack of communication, unexplained lengthy delays, and overall rude and unprofessional service. Seems incredibly disorganised and unwilling to help once the money has changed hands. Would strongly recommend avoiding dealing with [Name Removed] and this store.
