Absolute scam of a company! – I used proactiv as a teen with very good results. I'm now almost 30 and struggling with acne around my jaw line and after trying many things i thought I'd try proactiv! I unfortunately didn't have very good results and after two weeks had far worse skin, i now had acne in places I hadn't previously while other parts were peeling, despite me only using once a day. I stopped using it and returned to my st Ives scrub and my skin is much much happier, rest of my face has cleared up, redness gone, peeling gone, now back to the usual acne only on my jaw line.

While my experience with pro activ wasn't great, that alone wouldn't have caused me to leave a bad review because what works for one person won't work for another so you won't know unless you try, BUT this company is so dodgey people need to be warned!

They claim you can cancel any time, however the email address on their website bounces back, so you then go on their Facebook who then gives you a second email address. That then bounces back once again. They then claim technical issues. Yet going through their Facebook this has been happening for months!! No decent company operates like this! So no I absolutely do not recommend this product to anyone!

Actually works! – i use to keep my cystic acne at bay with the Pill (estelle) but my Dr no longer recommended i use it. after a couple of months my skin flared up and back came my cystic acne it was so embarrassing! as a beauty therapist i had tried and sampled quite a few products without much of a difference. i decided to bite the bullet and try proactive i had heard mostly horrible things but i know my skin and what my skin can tolerate so i bought the kit.

it works for me! i still get the odd bump here and there (been using it for nearly 2 months) but they clear way quicker and my skin tone looks amazing and no more oily!!!!!!

my advice is build up to the product, use step 2 one pump once a day then gradually build it up to two pumps twice a day. i do get a little bit of dryness but try to apply step two where you need it most (for me my jaw line is the only place i really use it). as a beauty therapist i know there are so many other things but to me this is the most affordable and least time consuming and i found great results so im happy.

this product is not for everyone and don't expect miracles. Generally if you have acne you are an oily skin type (or combination), you can never change this you can only control it so yes if you stop using it there is a high chance the oiliness and acne will return.
