BUYER BEWARE, travel insurance for the Qantas Titanium Card is a SCAM!! Got stuck in Fiji due to my son having an ear infection, had to extend for 3 nights until he was medically fit to fly. On top of the stress, incurred thousands for new flights,… Read more
medical costs, hotel etc. After 2 days on the phone & emailing both Chubb & their 24/7 team, found out Chubb only pays $450 after a $250 excess for change of travel even in a medical emergency, in what world is that adequate travel insurance for a card that costs $1.2k a year?!?!? The coverage from Chubb is a scam, the 24/7 global protection process created more stress than help, I was in tears on the phone with them multiple times think they gave me a nervous breakdown, the entire experience is damaging the qantas brand, I thought the lack of service from their non existent concierge team was bad, now with this traumatising experience with their insurance team, I will be cancelling this expensive stress creator ASAP, warning others here
Follow-up · Received questions so answering here. For other medical events, insurance only covers hospital costs, not your flights, hotels, tours etc, and it’s a seperate claim so seperate excess per person, total scam because you must claim for each event, each person, so no way to combine all costs into 1 claim & just pay 1 excess like how most insurance… Read more
Great Card if you are a high spender and rusted on Qantas Platinum FF (I am sadly), you can more than recoup the annual fee in discounted fares - easily. Great points earning card as well, in particular for Qantas Spend and all overseas spend. Absolute RUBBISH customer service, useless concierge and very basic App. If you are happy to self serve and don't need to speak to anytime you will be fine. Show details
Just give me my money back – The points and benefits of the card might make it worth holding for the first year but other than that have to agree with most of which is written below although the sign up process was quiet simple in my experience. Customer service is appualing thus far. After posting the letter to set up easy pay - direct debit (yes this cannot be done online… Read more
and there is no online notification system) I was never notified it was in place. When my >10k balance was due I paid it, then the following day the easy pay debited it again putting my bank account into negative balance. I called them and they said they could return the balance within 5 business days but to receive the entire amount would take at least 10 days due to an internal investigation requirement. So I elected for the positive balance to be returned, it's been 10 days now and I still don't have my money. Luckily I have family to borrow from or this would have thrown us into financial chaos. BTW the notification letter turned up the day after the double debit was made, handy :)
Very Poor Customer Service – The customer service is the worst example of outsourcing I have had. I called with a technical problem. They were difficult to communicate with, didn't resolve the problem, didnt follow up - never responded to emails - but 1 week later then spammed me with multiple calls trying to get me to take a cash advance. The technical quality of the… Read more
connection is as poor as the english skills of the staff. I am a platinum + lifetime gold QF member and over the years have been fairly loyal to a company that is clearly in difficulty (of its own making) - but this "premier service" has been outsourced to a mob with absolute zero customer skills or empathy. Totally inappropriate service for a $1200/year card.
terrible option for a credit card – Dont waste your time applying unless you have a lot of spare time to deal with customer service of the worse quality and ability. Dont be tempt bu free qantas frequent flyer oints it is not worth it. Show details
Great Credit Card - Worse Concierge Customer Service in the World!! – Qantas Premier Titanium Concierge Customer Service are NOT dedicated, and the customer service department employs foreign agents. Some agents do not understand plain english and it is exhausting trying to get results. 15 days after I've emailed them with a simple travel itinerary, I still have NO REPLY or PHONE CALL. You really want to put your… Read more
business on un-professional people Qantas?? When request to speak to the manager, the answer was: 'the manager is not available, to be honest, I am by myself here'. Forget about getting the 10% discount, if you book your trip youself. Forget about getting a red-eDeal airfare, customer service is simply NOT THERE!
Waste of time – This company with an overseas answering service has undoubtedly poor problem solving skills. A total waste of time and effort in obtaining a simple additional card despite over 20 calls. They just go around in circles without solving their problems. Show details
On hold – If you like on hold music then this is the card for you!! Their concierge service is impossible to get through to and considering it's staffed out of the Phillipines that some impressive cost savings. The card does have some underlying value which is good if you can take advantage of it. Primarily a 10% discount even on the lowest fare twice a year. Problem ... try getting through to them to redeem it!! Show details
$1,200 year in fees...to start with – It is stunning that so expensive card still has foreign transaction fees. However the dealbreaker for me was when I noticed I am being charged for an interest rate for some reason. I pay my balance as quickly as possible - at the latest within 2 weeks of the transaction. Yet, Iast month I was charged a $66 interest fee. I have tried to contact… Read more
them for a week now, without any success. I actually feel like a loser using this card, it is simply so stupid.
They can't even be bothered to reply to e-mails about your application – This card is an absolute joke. I have never had a CC application declined before, earn well over $200k a year, am a platinum Qantas member and have been since 2008 and fulfil all other criteria, impeccable credit rating over 1000 points. They didn't approve my application, no explanation whatsoever. An e-mail was provided for an appeal, they… Read more
simply don't respond. Going by the other reviews here it's obvious that their customer service is crap for such an expensive card so probably a good idea it didn't work then.
One of the worst cards on the market – Applied for an additional card holder and my partner received her ID check paperwork, which she did in completed in 2021 March with the Post. Since then, no updates when her ID check will be accepted so she can use her new card. Additional cardholder fee charged. After calling and not getting anywhere, we gave up trying to activate her card. … Read more
The app. itself is abysmal. I get it that the card is funded from Citibank but the constant updating on the app. giving limited to no access every second day is not warranted for the annual fee charged.
Oh, btw they finally sent a letter in December 2021 advising that her identity check was not successful and she had to redo it again at the Post.
For the $1,200 annual fee, this product is not worth the worry. If you travel frequently and do so at the level of income you need to qualify for this card, lounge invitations and bonus points can be secured by various other card providers.
The worst card from Qantas – I was a card holder of Qantas Titanium Premier card and would suggest you NOT choose this card at all! It's with bad services when you wanted to add additional card holder and with $1200 annual fee you couldn't get the benefit meets their service fee. Just don't choose this card and they'll make a change. Show details
