Only good thing about this model is it's DISCONTINUED! – Minimal use...cleaned and stored, tried to use it, just heated up machine and hose but no steam!!! I turned it off because I was concerned it was overheating.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about your experience, and would like to see how we can help you. How long did you heat up the steamer for? If the appliance produces no steam the appliance may not have heated up sufficiently. Please let the appliance heat up for approximately 45 seconds. Another possibility is that the steam has condensed in the hose. If you lift the steamer head to straighten the hose vertically, any condensation will be able to flow back. Also, the water level might be below the "MIN" level indication, or the tank might not be inserted properly. Please refill the water tank and insert it properly until you hear a "click" sound. In addition, we were wondering how long you have had the steamer for? If it has been stored for a while, scale may have built up in the appliance. This can be cleaned by performing the easy rinse process. We hope this resolves the issues you are encountering. If not, please contact us on 1300 363 391 if you are in Australia, so we can further help you.

Kind regards,

The Philips Australia Team

I will never trust Philips product again – I have had my QuickTouch for about two years. After having water splutter issues for a few times, it has stopped working totally. Now, when it is connected to the power point and turned on, water is no longer heated up hence no steam comes out at all. This is my 2nd product from Philips which is as bad as the first one. In my opinion, this is not a trusted brand. I will never buy Philips product again.

Very Disappointing - Doesnt work at all – Unfortunately we've had exactly the same issue. We only used it about four times in an attempt to get it to work. It doesn't remove any creases, spits, steam in not consistent - sometimes no steam at all. The last attempt it didn't steam, then burnt me from a burst of hot water all of a sudden spitting out - very disappointing :(

Hi, after trying to call, I received a voice recording that Customer Service was not available until the 5/1/15. I have since tried to call twice only to be on hold for over 20 minutes with an automated message saying I am 6th in the queue! Again I had to hang up. Please provide an email address & have someone contact me as soon as possible.

Still no solution - it unfortunately seems the customer service is no better than the product... I eventually received an email stating I need the receipt. Upon advising we do not have a receipt, absolutely no reply from Philips.....

Spurts out water a lot – Been using for almost a year. Anyone having the same trouble like me? Any solutions? 1) sometimes when i turn it on, it causes adjacent main house switch to turn off. 2) although i have wash and rinse it to avoid crystallisation, it still spurts out a lot of water and soak the clothes. (Do you really have to wash and rinse it that often? How often that you have to rinse. Is it every single use?) sometimes, the water spurts out water with some kind of white dusty powder causing my cloth to be patches. Is it because of the water condition in adelaide?

3) seems to work okay when it really works. But sometimes no steam coming out.

I wonder is mine already broken? Or if its not, any solution to make it work the way it should? Any recommendation for other steam iron that works superb and require minimum maintenance please. Thank you. I like garment steamer, as you can iron the clothes straight from the cupboard. As mention above.

Ours is giving the same issue only after 6 months. The spout spurts out water with white alot of dusty powder and some have crystalized to some sort of sand sediment. We regularly wash and rinse it. Did you get the bottom of it in the end?

I have all the same problems as Mr & Mrs Punta are having when it was brand new. I used filtered water. The water that spurt out is so hot that sometime my hand get burn. So I have to us a rubber gloves.

My advise is don't even think about buying this product if you haven't have one.

I hope this doesn't start happening with mine. I use distilled water and have had no issues yet, have you guys been using regular water in it? I am not sure what you mean by filtered water.

At last, i gave up using this philips iron. Bought another steam station and its perfect, not a philips brand. You dont even have to hold that nozzle up high to let the steam out. Turn on and just use it. No more extra acrobatic act. All the best people.

Mr and mrs traveller, this garment steamer is not a self cleaning device. To save time and enjoy ironing, perhaps a self cleaning one is the best. You dont have to hold it upright, and let the hot water running down your underarm. Liss, you are very patient. Maybe after you try another iron, you will never look back. But if its still working fine, keep it up. Extra efforts, extra maintenance. Worlds doesnt revolve around this iron. I will prefer to minimize my time ironing and enjoy more time with family :)

The following information can help, but if you require any further information please feel free to call us on 1300 363 391 (Otion 1) or please send us an email philips.product.review@philips.com.

Perform the following maintenance steps after every 5 uses: 1) Fill the water tank to the MAX level. 2) Turn the cap of the drainage opening to the unlocked position. 3) Tilt the appliance to about 45 degrees and empty the water tank over the sink. Note: Stop only when there is NO MORE water flowing out of the drainage hole. 4) Next, close the drainage opening. 5) Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 for a second time. You can then start using the appliance.

Done that before but the major challenge that require me to stop using it, is, when I turned ON the iron, automatically the main house switch turned OFF...so, Its quite hard to use this iron in peace of mind without any hassle, Philips official. Anyway, thanks for replying.

Dear Mr and Mrs Fez, The main switch should not switch off when using this product. If the main switch is switching off, there is a problem with this product or a problem with electrical wiring of the house. One way to isolate this problem is to have this unit checked by one of our authorised service centres or by using this product in another location. We would invite you to contact us on 1300 363 391 (Option 1) to discuss this further.

Another way is buy other steam iron (other brand) and test. But I am quite impressed, that when I use other steam iron, I dont even have to raised my hands up to stop water coming down the nozzles which I thought is a common action to do if using any steam iron. Prove I am wrong. Your brand for other appliance is good, such as your air fryer. But for this iron, i think you have to admit the weakness and produce a better one in the future with less hassle, dont let your buyers down. Even to produce, cheap iron, maintain good quality to strengthen your reputation re quality. Do your best. I will keep using your brand but for selected appliance. p/s: Parent been using your appliance even before I was born. so, please, keep the quality on top.
