I recently tried QL again due to the relatively good reviews. After a few weeks of delivery problems, minimal vegetarian options and some freshness issue we decided to deactivate our account. Also, the platform is clunky and slow and there is no app. So I jumped onto my mobile a deactivated my account only to be charged again the following week.… Read more
It turns out that I have a previous account (same address, different email) that was somehow reactivated in the background. Who knows how this was working before I cancelled my one of my accounts. I am now receiving an all-meat box of food with no chance of refund. Very disappointing. Do better QL.
I booked after receiving details from Coles. The first box seemed ok, but nothing special. It came a day early however from the scheduled day. I decided to cancel reading the terms that you can Sunday before delivery. My delivery was on the Monday and I cancelled the Tuesday after receiving the box. However I got notifications, I am getting a… Read more
delivery a week later! I messaged them but Support was not helpful. I do not recommend purely due to cost and poor service.
We started Quitelike at the start of 2025. Initially it was wonderful. Our boxes arrived on time, the recipes were clear and easy to follow and tasted decent - not mind blowing but it's home made and simple enough. A few missed ingredients over six months but generally great. I don't know what changed but about six months ago everything went… Read more
downhill. Ingredients are missing almost every week (just had a very sad burger without bacon), and every few weeks we get produce so far gone it can't be used. Including eschalots, multiple times, being entirely rotten. They don't go off overnight which suggests a lack of care at the packing stage. Recipes now seem generated by AI and not tested by humans, often jumping steps, skipping when to add ingredients and completely off in cooking times.
There also appears to have been a change in delivery drivers because our boxes used to be dropped off fine, in the morning. Recently we've had them coming between 5-7 at night which is a problem for planning and cooking dinner at a decent time, and we saw the delivery drivers dropping the boxes from shoulder height multiple times, damaging ingredients.
Reaching out to customer service for minor issues at the start of our subscription gave us a positive view of them - they promised to take our feedback on board, apologised and offered a reasonable remuneration for missing ingredients. Reaching out more recently for much more major issues we were given the clear impression that we were an annoyance and they really didn't care if we had issues. We had to escalate to get any response, and were promised things would improve.
We have waited another month and still the same issues. Multiple missing ingredients, recipes not checked before getting sent out and unusable produce.
I'm not sure what has changed. Maybe Quitelike has just grown too quickly for their abilities, or maybe they are trying to compete with bigger meal kits and are letting quality slide to do so. Either way it was a huge disappointment after a promising start.
Unfortunately, my experience with this company was very disappointing due to poor customer service. The cancellation policy is not clearly communicated, you are required to cancel more than a week before the delivery date, which was not disclosed at the time of cancellation. The online chat support is particularly frustrating, offering only basic,… Read more
scripted responses. The team also closed the chat immediately after replying, without allowing time for follow-up questions or clarification. While the quality of the food itself is good, the recipes are underwhelming and the portions are not sufficient for a family of four. Overall, I would not recommend this company.
Beware of subscription services. QuiteLike have an incredibly slow supply chain. You get charged for your 2nd delivery even before the 1st one has arrived. They have a strictly enforced deadline for cancellations and changes of 23:30 Sunday, for… Read more
the Monday delivery in 8 days' time. I think it would be a lot fairer if they reduced this to 3 or 4 days.
The food is great, but there are a lot of traps in their subscription.
1. My 1st order took 13 days to arrive. (Ordered Tue 30-Dec-2025, Arr Mon 12-Jan-2026). They need to react more quickly to make new customers feel welcome.
2. It is a subscription service. I recommend cancelling your 2nd order immediately, if you are only trying them out. You can also put your subscription on pause. They will charge you for 2nd order before your 1st order has even arrived. They will not let you cancel. Cut off Sunday 23:30, for the order arriving in 8 days.
3. There is no phone number to contact them on. Their web-form does not automatically send an acknowledgement --- typical of companies that don't value transparency and accountability. Despite this they usually respond to the web-form within 4 daylight hours. They do not appear to respond to emails.
4. The delivery instructions that appeared on the label were different to what I gave. The box was left at the bottom of a double flight of stairs under a sign saying "Do NOT leave packages here. Leave inside GATE of relevant unit. ..."
Follow-up · They still don't make the subscription an OPT-IN, nor do they make it prominent. It is only in the fine print. This can be seen as a breach of ACL [Australian Consumer Law]. I mentioned ACL to them and got a full refund on my second order. I thought this was overly generous and offered to pay half, but they let me keep the food for FREE, which… Read more
I love QuiteLike Meals. Their produce are very fresh. Best compared to Marley Spoons and all other top end brands. Show details
This is my second review here, as the issues keep happening even after we were told that they will be resolved. What's disappointing is that it is now clearly a CHOICE that is made by QuiteLike to ignore the blind resident's needs. Please, re-consider using QuiteLike if you live in a Villa or a Unit and are not strong enough to lift heavy boxes.… Read more
Don't do it if you are: elderly, sick or have small children that you cannot leave at home as you will often have to walk far from the house to retrieve a box from all sorts of unusual locations. QuiteLike will not deliver to the door as promised. You will inevitably end up with a large, heavy cardboard box that is half-sealed most of the times and wet if it was raining. Ingredients are often spilled or missing. A few times they dumped are box on the street, a long way from our villa, next to the mailboxes, far from our home. What is the excuse? The driveway is too narrow for a truck. Yet, we get truck deliveries every day. QuiteLike appears to be the ONLY company where delivery issues appear unresolvable. Additionally, it is only my disabled, blind husband and a 76-years old mother at home during the day. They cannot manage carrying a heavy box 50 meters from the street. The worst part is that I have raised this issue many times before, patiently explained our concerns and asked for them to fix this. They chose not to do anything about it as it happened again on Monday.
We like their food, but the issue appears to be unresolvable. Our next door neighbours use other companies and their food is delivered perfectly to their door, every time. So clearly, the truck issues cannot be used as a legitimate excuse.
We wouldn't wish this experience on any other family.
In terms of the price point, food quality, and portion size, it is about on par with other higher class of meal kit delivery service like Marley Spoon. They don't have as much recipes to choose from as Marley Spoon (but still quite a lot compared to many other brands) but they do have a much wider variety of recipes and ingredients. The ordering… Read more
process is more straight forward as they don't have all the customisations (eg change of protein etc) and upgrades (eg more premium cut of meat etc) to choose from so you know how much it will cost each week and what you are getting. Their loyalty program is also straight forward - you get FlyBuys points for every order (more points per order the longer you stay with them).
Their packaging box is similar to the Hello Fresh box with the handles on the side so it is easier to carry. Inside the box are the various meals packed separately in paper bags (this is pretty much standard across all brands). Personally I don't like it all that much because I have to unpack the bags before splitting the ingredients between the fridge and pantry. But I have to say they pack them very neatly. Unlike Marley Spoon where they just throw things in randomly, QuiteLike actually packs them in a very efficient and presentable way. The freezer bag they use is the paper padded mailer bag which works so much better in keeping the food cold than a plastic bag used by other brands and it is more recyclable. And it is always packed at the bottom of the box so it will actually stay cold. On the very rare occasion when an ingredient is damaged, their customer support is quick and you are compensated with refunds into your bank account rather than as a discount on the next order.
Their web site could be a bit more user friendly. Being new to the market, I guess they haven't quite polished that yet. While most other brands would clearly advertise the discount code for new customers to get $X off their first few boxes, with QuiteLike you will need to search around a bit for that code. If you need to report any issue with the order, then you will need to do it by email or phone as there is no automated forms you can use.
As for the recipes, there are quite a few that is either a curry or is spicy. Great if you love that. Not so great if you are a family with little kids. Their choice of seafood is salmon, barramundi (the two standard choice for all brands so far), and ling fish (not for everyone because of the stronger smell and taste). I would have preferred basa or prawns to be included.
Third times the charm - best food kit service I've tried – So I've used quite a few food kits - where you select a recipe and they send you the food to make up that recipe. Most of them send a minimum of 3 meals for 2 per week. All of them have the tech side down well - no confusion with deliveries or dates. But I get tired of the food and start to look for another service. This is the best one so… Read more
far. It is a bit more expensive (I think around $10 more per week than FreshDirect) but it includes fresh herbs with most meals which just makes the food so much better. I like their ingredients and their recipes better. Also portions are generous and I often made them for 3 adults and no one went hungry. If you are serving 3, it becomes very economical! I've recommended to a lot of friends and gotten positive feedback. I'm not affiliated with the company! My only complaint is that it is a silly name - people kept saying quite light? ie calorie controlled? and I said no, Quite LIke, as in, I quite like it... but it more than quite, I like it best!
