I was extremely disappointed to find a pre-added “suggested tip” automatically included on my bill. It’s unAustralian and downright unprofessional to presume customers should pay extra without choosing to do so. Tipping is not a standard part of Australian culture, and adding it by default feels sneaky and misleading. A business should be upfront, transparent, and respectful of its customers—automatically charging a tip that you have to manually opt out of is the opposite of that. It left a bad taste in my mouth and certainly influenced how I view the establishment. If you want to earn a tip, provide great service—don’t force it onto the bill and hope people won’t notice.

I won’t be returning, and I hope they rethink this practice.
