Deposit paid in March 2020 and didn't do the work, lost money. Case filed with OFT – Sales guy came home and took measures charged 1500 for blinds and paid $750 as a deposit to their NAB account. Sales guy lost job and no one answering calls.

Doesn’t honour warranties – We had plantation shutters installed by Rainbow at the beginning of 2019. Within 6 weeks a large double shutter had fallen off the wall. replace which were hampered by their inaccurate measurements, they have given up. We have a replacement for the fallen shutter, but it doesn’t shut properly. No other installation issues have been resolved, including replacement of a single shutter that Rainbow identified as defective.

They will not return our calls. They will not return the calls of the Office of Fair Trading.

Spend the extra and buy from a reputable company.

Do No Use - Rainbow Shutters and Blinds - Capalaba – Placed an order a month ago, got the measure and quote, paid the 50% deposit two week ago and now I can't get hold of the sales rep but mobile is disconnected and no one is answering Capalaba or Gold Coast phones or emails. rainbow blinds and shutters – my name is Darryl Gowling i sold my business rainbow blinds to Anthony Dreine in march 2018,he then rented my showroom at 297 Redland bay road Capalaba ,in February this year he moved out of the showroom and works from home on the gold coast .Redgum blinds has no association with rainbow blinds and shutters ,we live behind our showroom on our property

Deposit taken – Rainbow shutters and blinds have taken just under $5K for a deposit to start works over 7weeks ago, I have tried calling email and even stopping into the store that they have recently left. Apparently they are still taking deposits and doing home measuring so be careful I would highly recommend NOT shopping here. I will be proceeding with legal to hopefully recoup my funds. Show details

Do Not Use This Company – After using this company to install roller blinds at my work place I thought I would use them to install shutters at our home. That was my first mistake! March 2018 the installer measured the windows and we chose color. Shutters arrived 6 weeks later - wrong color. Shutters reordered - did not fit the windows properly. issues. This went on for 2 years! Finally fianlised the install (Still not happy with them) and came to an agreement on balance owing due to 2 year delay. We paid the agreed balance only to receive an email the following day requesting a further $500. I was absolutely gobsmacked that we had received this request. Have Emailed the company twice asking for a receipt for our final payment but to date they have ignore our request and have still not forwarded a receipt. I believe that the company has closed down but in case they open up business again beware of the owners and go somewhere else.

They have closed down – This company is extremely dodgy they have taken orders and money and now shut down and taken off with our money no service or response call after call message left no returning of calls and showroom has been cleared out

No after sales service – Good for asking for payment up front and balance on day of delivery, but no after sales service. Shutters come from China on a slow boat and still waiting for replacement damaged vertical drapes since 25 Sept 19 (now 8 Dec) The drapes also barely cover the windows. Don't be disappointed and go elsewhere. Show details

suggestions, then reverted promptly with a quote to repair. All good, I considered the price reasonable given the job. Then this is where the issues started; I was asked to pay a deposit, fair enough I though 50% though is a lot upfront, then I found out they wouldn't even look at booking you in until the deposit is made then I was told it would be 4 weeks until they could do the job, a bit rich I thought with my money safely in their bank account. Then they pushed it out a further two weeks. Now I was starting to get annoyed and the tone of the office administrator was not customer friendly. But what could I do?? Organised the time and arranged for someone to access my house when I was at work between certain times in the middle of the day. Then the installer turned up at 8.30am in the morning, with no prior consultation and I had checked the booking time with the office that week. Fortunately my helpful building manager was able to assist at 5 minutes notice and the job was done. The work is sound from what i can see but it is very high , I cannot comment on the contractor but the place was tidy (just a few bits of blinds on the carpet but nothing I would complain about. Then the office has the hide to ring me because my invoice is 2 days overdue, you only get 5 days to pay including weekends! I don't mind a gentle reminder but it was the tone of the person that really annoyed me. I wouldn't use the company again unless I have to, it is such a pity the office is so unpleasant as they are letting down a team of tradesmen.

They do not stand by their products and do not honour warranties – When being sold their products, much emphasis on quality plus extensive warranty protection. However when it comes time to have an issue fixed, it is a whole different story. Multiple follow-ups, empty promises, and no results, just faulty products.

Top product – Very competitive in price with friendly service at point of sale. We ordered the shutters for January delivery but the unit was not ready till April so no issues they held them till ready. The shutters were installed and you could not find any fault. Installation was great and shutters were of excellent quality. Would thoroughly recommend them.
