Very unprofessional, attended a home open with Edward and he couldn't answer a single question about the property, after the viewing he did not respond or answer his phone for 2 days as I tried to contact him to put an offer in. All round just lazy, unenthusiastic and generally unfriendly
Unprofessional – I rented through these agents, and they actually handed a workman the keys to my apartment without telling me! Can you imagine being jolted awake by a stranger inside your own home?! This is beyond unacceptable—these are the worst agents I’ve ever dealt with!
Thank you Sam for your excellent service – Thank you Sam on helping settle something that was once our family home - highly recommend for a smooth process and happy results Aileen Pearce
untrained staff lacking general knowledge of real estate - unprofessional – Terrible service, they lack general knowledge of the tenancy agreement act. They do not take necessary action to rectify an issue amicably and resort to bullying tactics. They do not look out for renters. They find short cuts and cheap ways for owners which ultimately leads to a really poor environment to live. Do not rent with them. Do not let… Read more
them manage your property. I’m sure most aren’t up to standards and I moved onto a filthy home, they did not clean it or dealt with maintenance issues promptly in line with general age of the home.
Deb in Midland office is very personable and responds to all messages promptly with a professional attitude – Book keeping/accounts/profit & loss statements presented well and on time. Some maintenance issues were never resolved. This was the main reason for putting property on the market. But in the end it was a blessing, I received a great price.
Terrible experience buying with this company – I encountered Real Estate Plus Midland when looking at purchasing a house in the Midland area. I signed the offer (I was not provided with a copy of the general conditions), paid a $5 000 deposit and completed a building inspection. The inspection found that there was $40 000 worth of repairs due to the house, $25 000 of which were… Read more
non-structural and the buyer would have to rectify. The electrical wiring to the house was pre-1960 and the owner was reported to Western Power. I don’t believe the property should have been on the market in the first place.
I sought quotes as required by the contract and forwarded these to the agent. I received several calls and emails from the settlement agent and the Manager asking me why I was providing the quotes relating to the non-structural issues, despite saying in the email that I was trying to demonstrate the issues with the house, and also that the owner might be able to use this information if I didn’t go ahead with the purchase.
I hadn’t submitted the offer knowing that there was a further $25k required and the owner didn’t negotiate further with the price. The inspection also identified the (structural) cracking issues were ongoing and would be exacerbated with the owner building next door. I advised that I wanted to withdraw my offer. Real Estate Plus’ Manager advised that I would lose all of my deposit if I did so.
Much of the contact from Real Estate Plus was by phone – I had to ask throughout that it was put in writing via an email. I used Real Estate Plus Midland’s settlement agency and they provided no support whatsoever.
I had to seek legal advice.
Someone from Real Estate Plus’ office contacted my building inspection agency, was very rude and told them that a buyer was very upset with them and they had cost her a lot of money.
I didn’t receive a copy of the General conditions document, the building and termite inspection agreeance forms are old and not the ones used by other agencies, there was no disclosure document (re additions to the property, asbestos etc) from the owner.
In the end I received $4 000 of my deposit back – I lost $1 000. I also lost the cost of the building and termite inspection, an unpaid day off work to get the quotes and about two weeks of grief in dealing with Real Estate Plus. It also put my finding and moving to a new place back a month.
I saw several other properties around the same area and was interested in these but would not go anywhere near this agency. I’ve since put an offer in on a place elsewhere – the agent has been nothing but helpful, negotiated the small issues there’s been, been responsive and stayed in touch. And asked for a $2 000 deposit only.
I do not recommend using this agency under any circumstances.
Great team – Just sold my house with these guys and had great service. They know the market and the area. Professional service and keep you informed every step of the way.
Never ever rent with this company!! – We currently rent through this company and it has been hell from day one! They have lied and deceived the whole time we have been with them. They do not paint the house while it is vacant, they wait until you have moved in to do it! (Apparently they told us that when we signed the lease, that was the first lie) Straight after we moved in, the… Read more
decided to sell the house. (sometimes that can't be helped, but I asked for a 12 month lease, and they said I could only have 6, which leads me to believe they had the full intentions to sell the house before we signed the lease!)
We offered to pay more then the asking price, as we were desperate and needed a place with aircon/heating.
This was broken, no one ever told us even though they knew about it.
There was many problems with the house, we left messages and always called but could never get a hold of anyone.
It took 3 months for someone to come out and fix the aircon!
Then we had our first rent inspection....please note we have not been given a property condition report (even though I have asked for one)
Again, a different person (we have dealt with two people so far) came to do the inspection and told us to clean things that were pre-existing and even saying things were clean (the shower that has soap scum that does not come off)
We also had the photography done for the house, whoever came in tracked mud through our entire house! And moved our belongings without our permission.
After waiting a month we have finally been given the go ahead to break our lease and we cannot get out of there fast enough!
Just a warning to all renters and owners, do not use this company!
They are a law suit waiting to happen.
