Great fund – Having worked in the industry for 3 years(Approx) and qualified to give advice on many financial product areas, I know a decent fund when I see one. Fees are very low (0.4% MER, $1.55 week admin. fee and an exit fee of $35 which is fairly standard for industry funds), Website is clean, professional and easy to use. The calculating tools… Read more

were useful. Especially the Benefit projector and salary sacrifice taxation benefit calculator.

The fund has auto insurance cover(which I like) and a good mix of investment options.

I wouldn't worry too much about what these people are complaining about in the reviews. They are the few whingers who know nothing about their super.

I ended up consolidating my super from other companies into this fund which were very expensive mediocre retail products(MLC & AMP) and will be a member a for a long time. Low fees, great returns, website, customer service, Investment choice mix, insurance options. Moving from "Easy Choice" to "Select Super" category process was a bit frustrating.

Automatically signs you up to expensive insurance, High fees, – Automatically signed me up for their overpriced insurance, which ate away my modest savings. High fees did the rest (Fees were more than 10% of my balance at one point!). They sent me a christmas email with the wrong member number a few weeks ago. Poor online services. Average returns (not that it mattered since the fees were about three times my… Read more

returns). At the moment I'm waiting for them to transfer my money to a no-fees super account (which they'll charge me around 60 dollars for).

If you happen to get roped into Recruitment super make sure to call them and deactivate the insurance! They can consolidate your super Automatically signs you up to expensive insurance, high fees, bad returns, bad online member services

Recruitment Super Issues – I've been trying to leave these guys for about 3 months now. I did everything they asked correctly the first time. Was told that I didn't send this and I didn't sent that. When every time I called I was told that I had sent the right info. So again i wait, again another letter comes saying they need more info - without telling me what the info is… Read more

- I then call them and am told that they have everything they need.

If I were you, I wouldn't think about going with Recruitment Super.

Bad customer service, big fee's, hard to switch providers, abrupt customer service staff.

Make you wait a year for your account value and details – "Welcome" letter made no mention of how much I had in the account, the fee structure, how my investments were distributed (and suchlike) or any proper instructions of what to do next. When I rang asking for the form to transfer this money into my preferred super account the form didn't explain the process and only said that there would be a $35… Read more

fee, still not knowing how much was in the account. Insist on immediately having a proper statement of contributions to date - keep on asking until you get it and do not wait for the September Member's Letter. I would not recommend this organisation.

Not very good online services – My super was automatically placed in recruitment super when I started an apprenticeship in the APS. Whomever signed me up had me down as a Mr... though I'm a Ms. I called them up to fix this. the next time I received a letter they had not fixed it so I asked them to again over the phone. the second time round seemed the charm. all in all the… Read more

customer service over the phone was friendly.

The on-line account function is not very good though.

There are a couple of investment choices but not as much variety as I'd like and although they say low fees, many other funds are much lower. Good customer service over the phone, I receive regular calls regarding my personal details and anything needing to be updated. I can access a graph on-line telling me my super amount and contributions made. On-line services don't provide enough info about your account like what type of account you are in, and I was unable to print my statements, it would tell me my statement was downloading but nothing would happen. The site advised me to login in order to change my account type/investment strategy but there was nothing available to do this on the site.

Terrible – RecruitmentSuper sent me a fake letter telling me they were now in charge of my super, but it was a trick to con me into signing over my super. Dishonest.
