DONT BUY AT WENDOUREE VICTORIA – Never will I deal with this dealship AGAIN!!!!! When the Manager had returned my call he already was hostile and had an arrogant tone in his voice and there was no customer service from him. My car was purchased at the end of February and l was told the rego was for 12 months however in the contract I had missed that it stated it was only for 3… Read more
months which in all my years of buying ex demos have I had a car that's had 3 months rego I was told that customers like it that way, but it's their way of saving money and I don't see any customer wanting a 3 month rego when your spending 38k on a new car. Now my rego has only just come up on my Vic Roads online nearly 6 weeks later and when I purchased the car I was told it will appear in 2 week's time. Anyway another additional cost for me to pay. I'm also still waiting for my boot liner which I have also paid for in full and was told this would be delivered to my address the following week and that still hasn't arrived. I told this Manager I would be going online to leave a review and he said that "l had better be careful with what I put up" so to me this felt like an indirect THREAT towards me. Everything I have put up is correct and I'm just letting people know that their prices might be cheaper but so is the rego and you certainly won't get a full tank of petrol either and if you leave a "five star review you'll get a $50 petrol voucher which is why you'll see so many of them on this page" I'm normally not verbally abusive at all however this particular manager's attitude and tone towards me was not even understanding and he was verbally abusive too and then he hung up. I have txt the dealer to ask for a refund on the boot mat as I don't want it anymore and have asked the CEO to call me back. When making a decision just be careful with what you decide and make sure you double check the paperwork before you sign however proceed with caution is all I say!!!
Great style and comfort – Traded Kadjar Zen for Arkana RS Line in October 2022. Liked the coupe style , the safety features, electric seats, sun roof etc. Mostly used for country driving and find it comfortable, fuel efficient and most major centres where I travel have dealer back up. The 1300 turbo engine performs well for its size and even though Kadjar had the same… Read more
drive chain the Arkana seems to have more get up and go. The vehicle is made in South Korea and seems to be be well put together. So far there have been no issues. It is annoying that doors lock and unlock when the key fob is near by. Although you can turn it off. Boot size is deceptively large and my two Border Collies have plenty of room. Missing not having rear window wiper and it would be good to have top view camera system to aid parking. Biggest negative with Renault is depreciation and questionable support from head office although I find local dealers to be good. If you want something a little different and at reasonable price have a look at the Arkana.
Arkana 2022 Intense major problem with Screen shutting down – Ordered 2022 Arkana from a Melbourne dealer to pick on a Friday May 14th this year. Dealer called to say the screen shut down so have to delay pick up till Sat. Saturday dealer advised after software update couldn't get it to work and had contacted Renault for advice as to what to do. Dealer had no answer from Renault by the Monday so we said we… Read more
would pull out of the deal. The dealer then found another Arkana and checked the screen was working so we checked it wasnt the same car and picked up the other on Tuesday. Drove it to Brisbane and now 3 weeks later screen shut down. Contacted Renault dealer and earliest appointed was today. Took the car in and told they would do a software update. Explained about out previous dealings. Called back to pick up the car and told they tried software update with no success and a few other things. They had also contacted Renault for what to do next. As Renault hadn't got back to them we had to take the car. On driving out of the dealer we noticed a spanner in the dash boear that wasn't there before and a warning sign saying the front radar was not activated. When back ito the dealer and explained. He looked and said that it was because the electronics due to the screen on working was showing a fault. Then stunned to be told the front radar was not working properly due to some rain on the camera.I told him we had driven many times in the rain and not happened before He passed it of as the electronics were faulty and had to wait for Renault to get back to them.
Warning should be put out by Renault as this is a fault in their cars and many safety features wont work
Great car to drive with loads of safety features – I purchased the Renault Arkana to drive from QLD to NSW and it handled the 10 hour drive with ease, very comfortable the entire trip and the features just kept coming. I also love the coupe styling and can highly recommend. It also has a very large boot and seems much bigger than a small SUV. Show details
Please read this before buying a Renault Arkana (Intens) – I think the real test of a brand (and its products) is how it reacts when something goes wrong. With previous different brands and their vehicles, they've stepped up if there was a problem. This has not been the case with my Renault Arkana. I was initially attracted to the vehicle because of its styling, its plush and comfortable interior, the… Read more
touch screen's size and usability, the relatively practical nature of the vehicle (especially the boot size) and how it compared favorably to its main competitors. I even took it for two test drives, including one quite long drive the second time, to make sure I was comfortable with the vehicle. However, driving it home from the dealer once I had bought it in late September 2021, a rattle became apparent when accelerating. Over the next few days, a turbo whoosh emerged, plus a whining sound when accelerating. Two visits to the service centre with a total time in workshop of eight business days and I thought it was fixed. But sounds came back over the next few days, then worsened and were joined by a general droning sound when the engine was on. I had tyre spin too going up my driveway, until they did something during that second visit to service centre. But I'm unclear on what they did, because I do not have a service note for that visit, despite subsequently asking in writing. The dealership took the vehicle back a few days later, after me having to test drive my Arkana with the dealership's principal to compare it to another Arkana and Captur. I then heard nothing for two weeks, then received a call from the service manager to advise they would replace the turbo unit and had ordered it from France (note not South Korea, where the vehicle is manufactured). I pushed for an ETA and was advised it's typically 6 weeks, but it might come a bit earlier. So I have an excessively noisy vehicle for likely the first three months of ownership, with it in the service centre currently while I'm in a loan vehicle yet again. While the vehicle may be attractive, its important to remember there are no guarantees here about the quality of the individual vehicle you receive, nor the quality of the service you will subsequently receive.
