Best vehicle investment I ever made – We owned a latitude for 10 years since new, the only problems we had were the intake charge pipe cracking and the sunroof glass did explode but Ive seen this happen to many cars in hot climates. That's it! Other then regular services we never had to worry about this car not driving somewhere. I just sold the car with 346,000kms on the clock, all… Read more

the electronics still work and it still drives well. I wish these caught on more because they are an underrated car.

A little know luxury gem – I have the V6 Luxe and now approaching 90,000 trouble free klm,s. Its our everyday driver so does not sit around. The only thing it has needed is a rear engine mount that they said had slight cracking of the rubber $160.00 later it was fixed. Servicing is not expensive. This car is a little know gem and with Nissan Maxima/Altima underpinnings and… Read more

reliability but with Euro flair and the 6 speed auto not CVT. I cannot think of a car that has so much packed into it for so little money.

This car is so reliable, never a problem – We have had this car for nearly 5yrs and it had just gone to 100Km. We have had no major problems with this car. It has been so reliable especially as we have children and need that. Only issue is shaky steering wheel but have had that fixed as it is due to wheels. Other than that it was been a wonderful car to own.  Show details

Best value reliable luxury car!!!! – My Latitude Luxe has been absolutely 100% reliable and has EVERY possible option , but best of all has been the most comfortable car I have ever owned! Has a standard 6 speed automatic ( not a one of those unreliable CVT or DSG transmission's) coupled with a Nissan v6 engine that is smoother than butter. These Renault's represent the best… Read more

bang for buck a person could ask for, inexpensive to service, and utterly reliable! When you find a good Latitude I can almost guarantee after a drive you will buy one, it is the type of car a previous owner will have looked after and serviced, just make sure the car has a full maintenance record.

If you want something a little different, comfortable and very reasonably priced I can highly recommend the vehicle as I have been over the moon with my Latitude!

Most luxurious car I've ever driven – European Exterior & Interior with Nissan reliability under the hood. In one sentence thats essentially why I bought this car. Performance wise while the Nissan VQ35 is de-tuned, i don't think this is a problem as its responsive and loves to pull away from a stop with a strong amount of torque. If anything it doesn't like going slow, driving… Read more

along at 40 or 50 km/h confuses the gearbox, at speed the engine is at home.

Handling wise I've been very impressed, its a little more responsive than say a Toyota Aurion, while its very refined and high quality its not lifeless and boring to drive. Cruising around 150km/h on country roads you could swear your traveling much slower, the interior is quiet and suspension supple, yet informative. The motor itself is silky smooth and very quiet, even at wide open throttle there are no vibrations, and the roar of the motor feels far away.

The interior is great, rear legroom is generous by most standards. the sheer number of automatic features is astounding, this delivers BMW 5 series or Mercedes C class feature set, and in some cases more, for a lot less.

Reliability wise so far the cars been perfect, but servicing costs for the VQ35 are best described as japanese, Renault electronics though if they ever fail will be pricey to repair/replace.

I've noticed the wreckers market for Latitudes is surprisingly cheap, so this will likely be the most affordable pathway if anything non engine related fails after end of new car warranty.

Great features but poor quality – I bought a 2012 Latitude Luxe diesel from Essendon Renault in Feb 2016. I traded in a 2009 VW Passat CC diesel for it. Maybe a bit unfair to compare the VW to the Latitude but the Renault was three years newer. Engine in the Renault is nowhere near as refined as the VW diesel and the transmission was very slow compared to the VW's DSG. Diesel… Read more

was also loud on acceleration at any speed and the fuel economy was averaging around 11.4l/100km compared to the VW doing 8.3l/100km on the same routes and cycles. Both the Passat and Latitude rated at under 6.7l/100km on combined cycle so not sure why the huge difference.

There were some other problems that many will consider minor but they were frustrating. The rear parcel shelf would distort even at low bass levels and volumes. This cars Bose system in my opinion is a big let down for clarity and bass. Transmission panel area had creaks galore as did the sunroof when closing the doors. The transmission itself would shake the whole car when shifting between D and P to R. This only happens when the engine was warm and I didn't experience this during the test drive. The leather seats felt plasticky and not fit for a $40K when new prestige car.

The car only had 72K kms when purchased and had full Renault service history.

After three weeks of ownership I traded in the car and lost faire few grand. The Renault sales dealership were poor from the start (9 days for delivery and on date of pickup, was told to come back again next week to fix up issues not yet finished) so I didn't bother wasting time trying to get things done under statutory or new car warranty.

The car is however VERY spacious and has an awesome sat nav system and reverse camera, just a shame the screen was so small. When cruising at 80kmh and not accelerating - is quiet and smooth. The dual sunroofs are great and the drivers massage seat was also brilliant.

Great car for people who want features as value but pay less attention to detail or quality. Given the fuel economy I had for the diesel being average, I think a better buy is the sister Nissan Maxima with the 3.5l pertol V6.

Lovely Renault my second – Great car and brilliant value. Mine was purchased in early 2015 and is a 2013 build, 2014 first rego from Sale Motor Group Victoria, though I am from Sydney. It is big and feels big. I don't like reflection from dash or slight dead spot on instant hard acceleration, BUT...everything else is great. Amazing how few there are in Sydney. I love the… Read more

newer wheels and mine has everything including blind spot warning. My previous 2012 Megane was brilliant and after 71,000 hassle free kilometres, I am confident the Latitude will impress. I LOVE mine.

An amazing luxury family car – We brought a 2013 Latitude Diesel Privilege - ex Renault Exec car. 6 months old, 8,500 on the clock. Was a fantastic bargain for us. Renault took the depreciation hit and we have a luxury family car for just over 30k (less trade-in and free tinting from the dealer (after some arm twisting) 26k driveway, for a virtually NEW luxury family sedan).… Read more ·  1

We get the balance of 5 year warranty, balance of 3 year capped price service (first two services FREE), balance of 3 year road side assist. The car has: front and rear parking senses, blind spot warning, reversing camera, more air bags than you can poke a stick at, all the latest braking and stability control, leather interior, heated front seats, massaging seat for driver, panoramic sun roof, sat nav, dual zone air con, REAR air con (yes, rear air con, not many cars have these!), seat position memory for 3 drivers, follow me head lights, auto sensing lights and windscreen wipers, push button start, keyless entry, the BEST 18" wheels - I could go on and on. We have only had the car a couple of weeks but it's such a pleasure to drive, I finally have a car with some 'guts', looks good and has a superb finish. At this stage, I cannot recommend this car enough - will keep you posted as to whether the new car euphoria continues! I was dubious about Renault but they are putting their money where their mouth is with warranties, capped servicing etc, I couldn't walk away! The team at Berwick Renault were amazing - Mr Jasper in particular was very helpful. In my research on this car, one of the car review sites (apologies, cannot remember which one) stated that the Latitude was one of the most underrated cars in Oz, I tend to agree, well so far!

Smooth ride – Hi, I picked up a 2013 (was a year old 17k km's and $23k) Luxe diesel with the Bose 10 speaker stereo and WOW what a nice ride. Loaded with features like the massage seats, sunroof, very nice leather interior and all the legroom I need, I'm 190cm. The 2L turbo diesel has plenty of go for my requirements and inside it is very quiet. With the 5 year warranty this value used car buying.  Show details

Renault Latitude Luxe – Excellent second hand buy. Especially with Renault Diamond Care Warranty. The Luxe MY12 or Privilege MY13 (My13 has blind spot warning). Would also suggest diesel, while not quite as refined at petrol but averaging 8.3 L/kms around town the MY13 is rated .4 less ...nice features like bright headlights that follow the road (go where wheels… Read more ·  2

pointed)...auto close/open of doors (double press auto closes everything e.g. if left sunroof/window open)... for people with Children etc the rear doors/windows lock electronically (switch drivers door). A fantastic family car – I bought my latitude just over a year and a half ago from Essendon Renault, it's the diesel Luxe model. Frankly never had much of a choice in deciding what sort of a car I drove (as it always came down to money, and what I could afford), but with this purchase, I did have a choice, and after reviewing other cars decided on the Latitude, two… Read more

months later my mate bought one too after seeing my latitude, he bought for the very same reasons as I did - All round inclusions, smooth drive (no sports car), excellent mechanisms, and decent serve of luxury. Great car, just not getting the right praises and exposure. Nice touch to everything, feels good to drive it, smooth, and mechanically A1 nothing much really, some say the styling is a bit bland, but I dont reckon

What a wonderful car ! – I bought my Renault Latitude a year ago, and what a delight it is to drive. It has everything from a leather heated massaging driver's seat, to a deioniser with inbuilt fragrance (choice of several). The drive is as smooth and comfortable as any car I have driven, including a Jaguar. Although reasonably expensive, it was excellent value for money. I recommend everyone to at least have a look at it. Value for money, roomy and comfortable  Show 2 replies
