1 Benji G.  · a disgusting, predatory company who need to be investigated by the ACCC
1 TTT  · This website should be illegal. Violates multiple tenancy laws. And charges excessive fees. Has literally no value to the process. Cybernetics gone awry.
1 Jeremy M.  · rental rewards is a scam – why is rental rewards unable to cancel a payment. they take food out of my childs mouth each week. i hope you sleep well at night
1 Phillippa B  · Poor service don't use – Very hard to get hold of and hold onto funds for hours after they are cleared - I don't recommend them and am changing companies.
5 Lanny  · Great service – Very good service from Deboo and the team. Thank you.
1 Joe  · Waste of Money – Realestate agents pressure you to use this as it is convenient for them but means you are charged a fee just to pay your rent.

No stars where possible. Can A consumer watchdog look into this company? This is A disgusting way to make renters pay with such high fees and the rewards are nothing your not already getting with electricity and super accounts! Need A financial watchdog to shut these guys down.

A terrible company that not only robs tenants by charging unnecessary fees in order to simply pay rent, it also makes paying rent more difficult and confusing. Report them to the ACCC.

I understand that most of the confusion comes from the agent not providing enough information, but the existence of Rental Rewards really makes things more difficult. The communication between them and the agent has brought a lot of unnecessary stress into my renting experience. I’m honestly considering leaving my current property just because of… Read more

how much I dislike using Rental Rewards. In future inspections, I will definitely ask, “Do you use Rental Rewards or a similar third-party system, or do you allow direct debit?” before applying.

Working with agents already brings enough inconvenience for tenants, and adding a third-party payment platform like Rental Rewards just makes everything worse.

Working in the tech industry, I believe technology is supposed to make life easier, not create extra hassle. Systems like this really feel like the opposite of what good technology should be.

Saving more than the fees I'm paying – I've been using Rental Rewards for a month now, and it's a great product to save money. Initially, I was hesitant to use it, but after being enrolled for the Ambassador Card for free, I started using it to buy groceries at Coles and fuel my car, where I saved a noticeable amount of money. The customer care could use some improvement, though. I… Read more

was surprised that my property manager didn't mention anything about the Ambassador Card. It only came to my attention after receiving a welcome email from them, which made me realize I got it for free just by paying my rent through Rental Rewards. Honestly, I'm saving more than the fees I'm paying.

I would definitely recommend Rental Rewards to others.

Utterly unnecessary service collecting fees for doing virtually nothing – Other reviews are correct, this is a completely unethical service and agencies like Raine & Horne should be ashamed for being lazy enough to use it. Now I get to lose a couple bucks for absolutely no reason or benefit to me, paying direct deposit as I always have for years - when legally I know I shouldn't have to, but it's not worth starting a fight with property managers over. Daylight robbery, and they absolutely know it. Show details

Rentalrewards.com.au won't let users pay into a bank account number – Rentalrewards.com.au won't let users pay into bank account number because the numbers are all hidden and not shared with tenants. I would not recommend this. My agent is forcing me to use them against my will.

SCAM ARTIST! – Hate that I have to use these fwits due to my real estate. On top of paying my rent you get charged service fee’s and b-pay charges so that’s an additional $10 per rent payment. It’s SO UNFAIR!!! Called them and was pretty much told tough luck. Furious! Renters shouldn’t have to be paying fee’s for a service they DO NOT WANT TO USE that’s forced on them by the real estate.

Stellar Support from Deboo and Rental Rewards Team! – We recently onboarded a large volume of new rental tenants, and Deboo from Rental Rewards was an absolute saving grace. reporting, which is fantastic for building credit score. But honestly, Deboo's personalised assistance elevated the entire experience.

Here's how Deboo went above and beyond:

Seamless onboarding: He meticulously guided tenants through every step, ensuring all tenants were set up accurately and efficiently. Proactive communication: Deboo kept us informed every step of the way, anticipating potential issues and addressing them promptly. Extra mile mentality: Whether it was clarifying complex details or answering endless questions, Deboo was always readily available and incredibly helpful. Deboo's dedication and expertise made a significant difference in the success of this project. We truly appreciate his positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and genuine care for customer satisfaction.

Rental Rewards itself is a fantastic platform: convenient, rewarding, and packed with valuable features and ability to earn rewards from paying rent. Deboo's exceptional support takes it to a whole new level. I wholeheartedly recommend Rental Rewards team to anyone seeking a smooth and rewarding rental payment experience, especially if you have a large volume of tenants. With Deboo on your team, you're in good hands!

Saving money by paying Rent via Rental Rewards – Rental Rewards is a game-changer! Using it for the last 10 months has not only made my payments seamless but also brought unexpected savings through the Ambassador program. This is a company with zero ethics. The ripoff people as high as 4.5% if you want to pay your rent by a credit card. I complained them to ACCC for excessive surcharge.

0 stars. Why do tenants have to pay administration and processing fee, when we are forced to use this system . It would be so much easier with the Bank Transfer, quick, easy, seamless and no additional fee. This system is flawed. Even if you arrange for the payment to go directly to the agent, the amount is deducted from your account right away,… Read more

yet the agent doesn’t receive the funds for another three days. I got rental arrears from the agent immediately, even after I paid the rent at the nominated date, due to the system delaying the payment.

Excessive Fees and no rewards – The name “Rental Rewards” is entirely misleading, unless they are referring to the rewards the service is reaping from the excessive fees they charge already stressed tenants. At around $11 per transaction, in rent alone we pay an extra $572 per year in fees, and this doesn’t include charges for utilities and other bills that agents are forcing… Read more

tenants to use the portal to pay. The only rewards offered to tenants is to accrue Quanta’s points, which is useless if you don’t use those products. Unfortunately, use of the portals such as this one is almost mandatory, with alternative (fee free) options being difficult or not a just not feasible. I’d love to say I would not recommend, but alas, the choice isn’t in your hands.

Total scam – I was told to use this third party app for my rent payment from my rental agency. When I make my first payment, I was only shown that there is a 1 dollar surcharge fee for my payment so I went ahead with it but when I paid, the page froze, show an error message, but still continue to charge my card with $77 surcharge on top of my rent fee. When I ask for a refund they just refuse and keep trying to deflect the problem. Total scam.

They have it problems that are taking peoples money – Useless they take 4 fees in a row for there own it issues then have trouble getting refund app their 9.95 fee is for the account with them also. Nothing to do with the card but get told otherwise from the place go figure. The fees they took even from their it issues were more then set out in their terms and conditions. If anyone had failed payment fees lately I would be complaining cause it's not your end it's there's.

Say no to rental rewards – This company seeks to set up, cancellationa and ongoing fees for the acting as a third party to payment portal for rent. It is a parasite company. These people are actually committing fraud and taking funds without permission. Check your bank accounts – Hey watchout be very careful with rental rewards. Ive just discovered that we have been charged $9.60 membership fee every 3 months for the last 3 years and we don't even rent any more and haven't for at least 9 years. I spoke to them on the phone and the reasoning behind this is " we bought a box / data from a previous real estate agent that you… Read more

Never Ever Recommend – This payment system is deplorable and would never recommend them as an owner, realtor for tenants, they are so unreliable, hard to communicate with, do not follow through, double dip bank accounts, charge fees for the forced transactions and an immense fee if using card. party as only choice should reimburse as these fees are not permissible. They do not return 15 dishoner fees they charge you after double dipping banks accounts or the dishonour fee you incur from your banks because this company is not above board with their compliance. They do not return phone calls, they have no timely consistency with there transaction processes sometime payment transfers are deducted immediately yet still sometimes it takes a week or more to hit the real estates accounts causing so many defaults on rental payments regardless of payment made on due date and or transactions created on due payment date. Tenants should have an absolute right to direct deposit to the real estate accounts This payment systems such as rental Rewards should be illegal !! Caused nothing but constant problems , they should be shut down. Their incompetent professionalism is causing hundreds of thousands of people unnecessary fees, having a third party involved for payment is highly destructive for all involved. Zero Stars and an investigation from Consumer highly desirable as they are not only ripping people off some are ending up evicted, tarnished payment history and real estates asking for more than 2 weeks rent to cover their tardy processing (which is also illegal) with direct payment from tenant bank account, bpay, paypal, centrepay, to real estate is instantious. This company takes takes the cake and eats it , no transactions these days are as sorely slow as to take a week to process these days, a cheque maybe and only. This highly questionable appalling and slow stressful process these undesirable leaches are earning off our money hard earned money while we are ripped off by the exuberant corruptive cost of living and are happily digging us massive holes to climb out off. With houses insured as air bob's on long term lease agreements via real Estates already pushing the rent in a higher bracket... these sort of companies deserve jail time.ZERO. STARS. Knowing companies are creating these slimey side hustles and seeing witnessing and experiencing the down falls of their greed on innocent people. Should be illegal!!!!

Scam on a commercial scale – I noticed a subscription charge of $9.70 coming out of my bank account. I looked into it and discovered I had been paying this charge for over a year. An unethical business model passing further costs onto tenants – An entire product built on extracting even more money out of renters, without actually offering a service. It is unfortunate that this has been encouraged by real estate agents who lock renters into the service. SCAM ALERT – If you are asked to use this business to pay your rent, do not accept it. They will randomly charge monthly fees without your permission. It is a shame that this sort of business is around, it should be shut by the authorities. Most people using it are left without option by their Real Estate Management and will most likely see the reviews after being overcharged over and over again.

Was backed into a corner to use this platform to pay rent by real estate agent when the owner changed agents – online platform terrible to use as a tenant, very limited actions available online. The tenant, as a user, is literally only restricted to putting their bank account information in and processing payments (outgoing). It's so wrong on so many levels. The current issue I have is that I can't do anything on my end to close the account, which means… Read more

that they are still taking the membership fee out of my account. It's been six months since I was in that tenancy that is on my profile (i've only just seen today that the fees are coming out still). I downloaded the tenant guide which pops up on the screen when you log in and followed the instructions to close the account but they don't work, simply can't close the account like it says it does. There is no functions to still. I've contacted the real estate agent as well because it looked like they might have to do something on their end but filthy as they are, were no help. Waiting to hear back from RentalRewards. Avoid this platform altogether. I would just pack up and move to a place where it didn't cost me anything to pay rent if I had my time again. Be sure to check the fees associated with paying rent before you set your payment option and just be aware that there is literally no functionality/permissions other than inserting your payment method and paying rent. There is no ability on your end to close your account as the tenant. I will keep trying to call them and resolve, i've sent emails requesting reimbursement and I will probably make a complaint to the office of fair trading to be honest because the tenant user guide is misleading and deceptive.

As a tenant, this system is awful – First off they charge a fee for the privilege of paying rent. Previously we just paid rent straight to the agent and there were no fees. Secondly, if you have an issue, you can't phone them. You have to submit a form and wait for them to contact you. Oh, and thirdly, if you miss a payment they're more interested in hitting you up for a fee than facilitating the rental payment. Parasites.
