They took my husband money (we put the add together) for our rental property but them they started to ask for biometric identification after that. I think this was not fair, if anything like this, which people may not agree with, should be asked at front, not after taking people money. And sure there would be other ways to identify people! Struggling now and losing time to get a refund.

documents, and verifying my property were all straightforward. Some of the comments I’ve seen are quite misleading. Rent Better’s customer portal is excellent. Very user-friendly and easy to navigate. You simply make the full payment, then upload your identification and property verification documents. Initially, I was hesitant when I noticed they requested an example such as a bank statement, which felt unusual, but as I continued, I found there were alternative identification options available, so it wasn’t an issue. For a one-off advertising fee of $450 plus a small ongoing fee of $9, Rent Better still works out to be around 40% more affordable than competitors like For Sale By Owner (FSBO). While FSBO provides a lease board, my experience with them was disappointing. They advertised that my property would be listed on four major sites but only listed it on two. A few months later, I discovered that my ad had dropped off entirely for some time, despite having paid for a 12-month listing. FSBO advised that the issue was due to an error with the commercial sites, and they expect users to log into their dated, slow system every few weeks to keep the listing active. This was really inconvenient and silly. When I queried the issue and provided feedback, I received several different explanations, none of which resolved the problem. Overall, Rent Better has been a far better platform, more reliable, more affordable, and far easier to use. I highly recommend giving them a try. You won’t be disappointed and will likely save money in the process.

No phone number, had to beg for a call. Asked them to adjust the rent payment date for my tenant, they never bothered to make the change. Rude over the phone, would rather pay a real waste agent. Platform limited.

Applicants beware! – I brought their attention to a clearly fake listing for which they said "not our responsibility". They ask for sensitive information like bank statements, IDs, payslips and they don't even say how secure this information is, they just pass it on to the person who listed the property even if not legitimate. As as an applicant, I would think twice about applying for a property through this unsecure platform.

The best features are having a centralised area to manage payments, receipts, tenancy documentation, repair requests and it'll definitely save some time and effort during tax time. Almost impossible to cancel – I would NEVER use this company again. It is almost impossible to cancel. Was unable to tenant the property, and was charged a monthly fee for Nothing. Took me 2 months to cancel and the person I was dealing with was unclear in communication and abrasive.

Fantastic service and the most helpful staff – After using traditional property managers over 7 years I found my property was being damaged and rent was not being paid. Rentbetter saves me money and once the property is set up the work is less than that required dealing with a traditional agency.
