Beeps constantly – Heater beeps constantly for no reason. Not sure why but the beeping only stops when we turn it off. It is driving us mad. Bought new in the box but from someone else so don’t have the receipt. Show details

Piece of beeping crap – We brought 5 2200w Rinnai panel heaters and installed them on the walls throughout our brand new house. First night we turned them on and used them all they do is beep for no reason throughout the night Show details

i received my $1800 electric bill after using Rinnai heater for 2 months – The electric company was extremely helpful, after going through my household appliances one by one and doing isolation tests they were able to gather accurate results of power use and the wattage used. I shall be sending Rinnai a copy of this report from the elecctic company via email shortly. I had always thought that Rinnai was a great… Read more

brand to purchase, i no longer think that and would never recommend a heater by this brand after my extortionate electric bill.

I dont think it really matters when the heaters were bought. the fact is that Rinnai are selling a product that people can afford but simply cant afford to run.

I bought my heaters one year ago but never used them

Great and easy – This panel heater is one of the best I ever had very quick to heat a medium size room. Perfect for a small unit and or two bedrooms appartments. I have used two Rinnai panels heater during this winter every day and night, my electricity bill was slightly more compare to last year with a huge comfortable quality heater.  Show details ·  1

Circuit Board died – Bought this 2 years ago as a second-hand unit. It was only 1 year old at the time. Was great until end of last winter, when it stopped working. Circuit board developed a fault. I am not sure if this is a common occurrence or not. Reading some other reviews, that seems to be the case. I called Rinnai and they said it is no longer covered as I… Read more

bought it second hand and had no proof of purchase or original invoice.

This winter, I pulled control box apart, by-passed all the computer circuit board rubbish and wired it direct to main power switch on side, retaining tip-over-safety-switch and over heat cut out. It is on full power only now but it does work and warm the room well.

Heats well, however not silent operation as box states – We were looking for a heater that was cost efficient as our gas ducted heating is really running up our gas bill during winter. Our bedroom is approx 4m x 4m and the 2200W seemed like a decent heater. We wanted to be able to use it in other rooms as well so we went for the bigger model. This heater does heat the room very quickly and is very… Read more

comfortable to sleep set at 18 degrees. We haven't used the timer, we just set it to 18 and let it keep the room at a steady temperature.

The castors on the bottom make it very easy to move around which is handy.

Now for our issue with this heater. Looking at earlier reviews, there weren't any having the clicking/tapping issue, however more recent reviews do. A product with a 7 year warranty gives you that bit of confidence that this is a quality product, so we decided to buy it and see what happens.

We had a slight tapping sound which would happen while the heater is warming up. Not a problem to begin with, we could still sleep. 3 months on and it is the most annoying sound, it has gotten louder and is on constantly clicking away while the heater is on. My husband is a heavy sleeper and he even notices it now.

We have now the reached the point where we can't use it so we will return it. Should you buy it? Depends if you need it in a bedroom. Unless Rinnai can confirm that this issue has been fixed, I would not recommend it for use in a bedroom.
