Riverview Shutters

Good quality and quick installation – I ordered blockout blinds and Venetians for my investment property, before new tenants moved in. They came out and measured up and provided the quote efficiently. Within 3 weeks the blinds were ready and installed before Christmas and ready for viewing by new prospective tenants. The blockout blinds were awesome and kept the hot sun out, so when people came to view they weren't stepping in a sauna that had been locked up for a week!

Rubbish job – The blinds were installed by Riverview Blinds and Shutters. [name removed] was the person who came and measured and quoted the job. than it supposed to be. I called and twice more after this they came and drill more holes and put in extra screws, but nothing has helped. It is embarrassing, that we paid good money for such a shoddy job. I cannot get this [name removed] on the phone as he has blocked my number.

Don't use this Company if you want customer satisfaction.

Beware, poor workmanship, poor design sense – Shutters were installed with a box frame (instead of recessed into the reveal) which blocked the wardrobe door from fully opening!! Drawers in that section of the wardrobe could no longer be accessed, as the door could only be opened approx 60 degrees (instead of 90). He also said that he could replace the shutters with a recessed shutter if we preferred, but when we opted for the latter (naturally, who in their right mind would re-design a wardrobe and leave the door with only limited access??!), he changed his mind and said he was only prepared to remove the shutters after full payment, and didn't want us there while his worker removed them...

We certainly weren't prepared to do that. They had also installed blinds, and his worker (we later discovered) dropped a large blind onto its window sill, damaging it (necessitating filling and painting), and breaking the winder cog, which we eventually had to replace ourselves.

In addition, they installed a screen blind onto a large east-facing window, when we had requested and ordered blockout.

I removed the shutters myself (more shoddy workmanship was disclosed in the inept drilling and plugging of brick walls), and repaired the walls myself, no way would I let Riverview's workman back into our house.

Happy with Service – I first used Riverview at my last place, which was only about ten months after the business commenced. I found the Proprietor very friendly, knowledgeable and receptive to any questions. was great, with only a mark on one framed part. I pointed this out and it was no issue to rectify. Forgot to mention this job was 6 internal windows - basswood shutters

I used Riverview again about a year ago for similar job. All good. ( I also got a quote from that tv mob again who I won't name, and their so-called Manager who was training a Rep at the time, was a non-helpful prized wally) recently a blade had come off at the pivot point. Their very friendly Installer came out to fix and indicated he's always happy to help down the line.

Bad quality, poor service – Selling imported bad quality shutters from China but told us made in Australia. Absolute joke of a company, wait 3 months.

Poor follow up service – I had outdoor shutters fitted to the house by Riverview Shutters Perth. First lot of winds and i had one lot banging in the breeze so i had to tie it up. It took 3 weeks to fix that one and then it happened again with the next lot of winds the one upstairs was banging against the house so i quickly tied it up and it's still tied up approx 3… Read more

months later. I left messages on the mobile, landline phone, and e mail all with no reply. The Shutters are only held by Magnets and not Bolts for the strong winds. Very poor service.

No bolts only magnets and not strong enough for winds.
