Terrible and the Worst product I have ever owned (Lemon) – Not recommending this product honestly. of neighbour nearby, so I have to use the robo so often. Sometimes I had to leave the robo in the water for serval days or a week, as the 4 hour cleaning circle would not clean the pool completely, and I needed to run couple of cleaning circles every day. I have to pick-up the robo in a week or two from water after each use (it’s heavy, maybe difficult to pick up by ladies), clean with water, put it on the caddy, cover it and store in the store room, these processes were recommended by the supplier to keep the robo in a good condition and maintain its lifespan.

First of all, I will briefly talk about the pros and cons of the robo before I show the issues.

Pros: Premium customer service, prompt response. Robo’s cleaning performance is acceptable.

Cons: Fair build quality, hard to maintain, skimmer bag is not easy to clean. Easy tangle cable takes time to untangle it. Heavy to pick up from the water – probably treat it as arm exercise, spare parts are so expensive – check out Robo-Tek website. Story of nightmares:

Maybe I was the unlucky one who bought a lemon product, the nightmare started after 7 months (September 2022) of use of the robo pro, which stopped working in September 2021. Contacted Robo Tek, customer service was prompt and helpful, which is the only thing I was much appreciated with other than the product itself.

Got repaired straight away, faulty motor PCB, motor pump was replaced. Got it back and work again for the pool as normal. In January 2022, the robo broke down again, had to replace the whole motor box this time. And the robo was back to service my pool then the sponge wheel melted after serval usage. Robo-Tek sent me the spare sponge wheel so I replaced it myself in February 2022.

Then in September 2022, took out the robo from store room to clean the pool after winter, and found it was not working again, Robo-Tek advised it’s the control box issue, so sent the box back and got repaired, found control box power supply faulty and was replaced. Had the robo back and tested it straight away, not working at all. So sent the whole robo with the control box back to Robo Tek again to check, found the motor box was died so needed to be replaced. Comments on the invoice stated that this was the last time replaced motor box under good as a once of gesture, as Robo-Tek reckoned the robo was left in the pool for lengthy periods. Okay, fair enough, so if you have a large pool and have trees around, don’t buy this product. Because you have to pick it up from the pool and put down so often to ensure the lemon robo’s motor not damaged by the pool water.

The last issue was the impeller, which was broken by itself recently. I paid $22 for this small plastic thing. I didn’t claim for the warranty although the Robo is still under 3 year warranty, as I am done with the Robo Pro, which is one of the worst purchases in my life.

As a result, I am done with the Robo Pro and it’s really annoyed me. I am planning to buy a dolphin robotic cleaner instead.

Tangle cable after each cleaning circle, so if I have to run couple of cleaning circles, I need to untangle the cable couple of times.

The control box has 4 hour cleaning circle, but I believe it only runs for 2 hours. I have keep checking this recently and found that the control box probably has a wrong indication label.
