I should have bought this sooner! I was hesitant thinking it wouldn’t do a ‘good enough job’ but it’s my most favourite thing now. The suction is brilliant - the first time we used it - it got so much from our carpet and I vacuum everyday and the mop is also really good. This robot vacuum gets a workout every day in my house. I just love it
For a vacuum cleaner worth over $1,500 I would expect it to last longer than 18 months. This particular model has since been discontinued! Only used on floating floorboards, no pets and cleaned the filters regularly. The charging dock has died and is $400 to replace. No response from customer service after several emails. Absolutely appalled and… Read more
will not be purchasing another roborock in my lifetime. Steer clear, there are several much cheaper and better brands to choose from!
I bought this machine around 3 years ago and it has performed well until recently when it stopped emptying the rubbish bin. I did a complete clean and it still isn’t emptying. I called the retailer (the Robot Specialist) who told me I had to pay a… Read more
non-refundable deposit of $99 to get a quote to fix it! Oh, really??? Why would I pay for a quote - it only encourages them to over quote and I feel obliged to fix it to get my $99 back. It’s just appalling. Such an expensive machine and it only lasts 3 years. Please consider longevity and lack of customer support when purchasing Roborock.
Follow-up · Troubleshooting: complete clean of unit and inspection of parts that could be blocked between robot and dust bag. Used YouTube for this. Did small area cleans to see if this helped. Called support who didn’t offer any advice except that they wanted to charge $99 to do a quote to fix it - and this was my main issue. Please note machine functioned… Read more

Worked well for a while then needed some surgery – Just thought I'd post this short review. I've had the Roborock S7 Plus for about 18 months now. At first it went well but after while it started doing silly things, random movements, getting confused on patterned rugs that it previously had no problems with. I have always kept the unit clean and performed required maintenance and parts… Read more
replacement on schedule.
When trying to figure the problem out, one day I noticed that the cliff sensors on one side of the machine were full of dust..on the inside with no seeming way to clean them out. I ordered a replacement sensor kit from Aliexpress (couldn't see the parts on the Roborock store) as the unit was outside of the 12 month warranty. It was a big job to replace the sensors as you need to access the mainboard which requires a total teardown of the machine, took a couple of hours. Before I put the new sensors in I sealed them with a bit of silicone where the wires enter the sensor body. After reassembly the machine has been working well again.
To me this is a quality control issue whereby the sensor should have been made dustproof at the factory.
Other than that the unit seems fine, occasionally the dust bin doesn't empty for various reasons but that's no real biggy. So if anyone else is having weird behaviour problems with this unit take a look at the cliff sensors underneath. After disassembly I noticed that the sensors will come apart fairly easily for cleaning so if you didn't want to do a full replacement you can access and clean the sensors without too much hassle.
Great innovation! Vacuums and mops reliably – Great streak free finish on glossy tiles. Excellent suction on carpet and fairly easy to use. A more comprehensive manual would help and the multi floor function tricky to set up. Show details · 1
Good robo-vac – We wanted a vacuum/mop that was a little smarter than our dump one that jump bumps around the house - better object avoidance and such. What it does well: Mapping (two levels of house, and auto directing. Lidar capabilities are impressive) Object avoidance Vacuuming Self empty Vaccuming relatively quiet, emptying a little loud (but it warns you)… Read more · 1
What it doesn't do well: Slightly random error messages 'the dustbin has been removed' when it is stuck under my couch (yes it starts again and keeps going?) Mopping (I would move describe this as 'dragging wet pad around floor'
Great vacuum good outcome from support despite delay – Bought this vacuum on sale and found an even better deal the next day. I contacted them within 12 hours of my order. I only got a reply a week later so I ended up having two vacuums. It was quite difficult contacting them as the only support for sales is via an email address and the support number is more for technical issues. It took a lot of… Read more · 1
emailing but they were friendly and even the phone support tried to escalate this for me. Although it took a while, they ended up giving me a full refund for my initial order which is amazing as I don't believe they were obliged to do this given it was my own mistake. I mention this as a lot of online mentionings talk about issues with Roborock support in Australia. This was my experience. The vacuum itself performs really well - while the battery doesn't seem to last long, it is far more efficient and thus requires less time than older robotic vacuums so this has not been a real issue. I purchased this one as my research seems to indicate it does better on non carpeted surfaces and the remote view camera is actually quite useful.
Excellent product – Love the mapping, suction is good, mopping good too. battery is awesome. App is excellent. Show details · 1
Great Product vacumes well – This is a great robot vacuum and is quick and accurate with very little snags, but will occasionally get caught like most of them. After we had the cleaner in to clean with the normal Dyson vacuum, I noticed the Dyson only picked up a little more than the robot. I tossed around the idea if I needed the auto empty, but find it exceptional as at my… Read more · 2
age bending is an issue. Maps the house very quickly and accurately. I have had an iRobot for a few weeks, but found to many problems with it. I originally purchased a (Mi robot now called Roborock) vacuum some 6 years ago and it has worked well so should have gone this way in the first place. It works at night under very low light. The iRobot did not. So, setting it to clean when i go to bed is great. Unfortunately, the moping side is a bit of a joke. They recommend taking the cleaning pad off if not moping. They prefer you not to add anything to the water tank and just use plain water for moping. I found the iRobot did a much better job. While the unit is under warranty, I can only use Roborock cleaning solution at 300:1. iRobot gives you a choice of cleaning products to use with it. Shame as I now have 5lts of cleaning product i can’t use. So, with water only, not worth using. The Roborock Australia version comes with a bag or bagless system, so if you are happy to clean the bagless unit, you can save on the bags. It’s very noisy emptying the unit into the bag, but if used it night it will not empty to save noise. Solid unit and like all of them overpriced, but i guess research is expensive. Hope it last as long as the first one.
