Initially this robot was great. It had all the features I wanted - mopping and vacuuming with spinning mop heads and an auto empty water reservoir. Worked well for a month. After a month I came home and my living room was flooded. I thought maybe something was stuck in the mop heads so cleaned it thoroughly and refilled. It was okay for a few… Read more

days, but then the same thing happened and water was everywhere. I returned it and asked for a replacement, assuming it was a faulty product.

A week later I received my replacement, and again - for a month it worked well until I found the base station filling with water and the robot sitting in more than a cm of water in the docking station - not great considering it's an electrical product.

I returned again and requested a full refund and have gone with an Ecovacs Deebot.

Beware - the price of the XWD may be appealing but honestly it's not worth the hassle.

It had good mapping functions, and the ability to set different rooms and schedules, and it always was able to identify carpet and hard floors - but that's about where it ends. It was constantly getting stuck by trying to climb objects (I regularly found it mounted on the floor head of my other vacuum??) and always got tangled in cables if they were anywhere near the floor. It pulled my whole Christmas tree down when it got stuck on the Christmas lights.

Stay away, go with a reputable brand.

Never knew how much I needed one of these! – I purchased the Robotika Provac-5.3 approximately 12 weeks ago from Coles for $179 I figured at that price what do I have to lose? I installed the app but my son had to connect it for me. I haven't tried to map out anything so I cannot speak of that nor the mopping as yet. I just put it on Smart mode and let it go on its merry way. I… Read more ·  1

make sure to pick up anything large first. I can honestly say with dogs that shed a spare dog every day I am seriously surprised that this little thing copes. It can go over/up doorways etc. I absolutely love it! Once I have tried out the mop I will give a further review, likewise in a few months to see if it is still going as early days yet. Let's just say that the house is now getting vacuumed much more regularly than it was....

Never completed a clean – I purchased this vacuum from Coles hoping it would replace my 10 year old (approx) robot vacuum from Aldi but it was utterly useless, I returned it to Coles in just a few days. The vacuum mapping feature is a gimmick, it erases after every clean or any time you need to help the vacuum. Never once did it complete a clean and successful return to… Read more

its base. My old vacuum has no mapping, it vacuums completely randomly and yet returns to its base every time.

The vacuum also has limited collision avoidance, so it’s always crashing into furniture, unlike my old vacuum which slows down when it approaches.

A new vacuum should not be out done by a 10 year old “dumb” robot vacuum. Do not buy.

Oh also, customer service is a joke. And the included cleaning brush doesn’t fit the vacuum.

No longer works after two months, unfortunately was unable to return – My Provac 5 no longer works after two months of using it. It worked really well for those first two months but for some reason it doesn’t charge. I’m assuming it may need a new battery as other have mentioned. Show details

It’s a great vacuum for the price. but customer service is a total let down – I became a „member“ through Ribotikas website (2 x!!!!) But I still cannot order spare parts, e.g. side brushes! Only a replacement remote control. I’ve had numerous emails with „ support team“ and still cannot get any side brushes. Looks like I’ll have to get a new vacuum in the near future, but this time a brand that has actual customer support. Show details ·  2

Could not get it connected to Wifi. Did not try its cleaning performance. Online support was good – I followed the user manual and read every word. Could not get it to connect to Wifi (app) and after trying 4 or 5 times contacted customer support via email. They responded quickly and explained what to do (as the user manual for WiFi setup is a little vague especially regarding resetting the WiFi) but after trying that at least 4 or 5 times I… Read more

gave up and took it back to Coles where I received a full refund. I had no problem connecting my ducted aircon to the internet (app) not did I have any problem connecting two Google devices to the internet. Do not know if the WiFi was faulty or if it is just rediculously difficult to setup. Maybe if a video was available showing WiFi setup it might have been different. Pity as the price is great and I looked forward to my first robot vacuum cleaner. Never tried using it to clean any room so cannot review its performance and so my rating is only based on the WiFi.

Hopeless Customer Service – I am going to go and refund it. Great vacuum for the price, but I’ve emailed so many times without a reply! Can’t get spare parts anywhere, so once it’s finished with the parts they give you, it’s a throwaway. DO NOT BUY!

Great for the money – Let’s all start with it didn’t cost $900. It’a a lower end vacuum. And in saying that I find it great. I had no problem connecting to wifi ( press and hold both buttons on machine ) not complicated like some make out it is. It switches between hard floors and rugs with ease. 3 different power modes and wet mop ( which I haven’t used as I have dual… Read more ·  2

flooring ). It’s reasonably quiet ( standard vacuums are not so be real people it has a motor ). The app on your phone and machine compatibly is very easy and useful… timer modes… power modes… maps… return to dock etc… along with a clean floor when it’s done. What more do you want for $200. I may upgrade on my next purchase or may buy the same, but not until it dies… going well for 4 months so far

Bad robot. Terrible customer support – Use on tiles and carpet. Terrible vacuum. Doesn't connect to WiFi and the company doesn't email back when you try to get support. Now I have to waste my time to go back to the shop for a refund Show details

It is a good vacuum but so hard to pair to wifi – So far it’s a great vacuum. However, it is so hard to pair to wifi!! I have checked my internet settings, followed the instructions and it still won’t work. I have no idea which light is meant to flash to pair, because no lights are flashing. Argh so frustrating. Show details

Better than my 1000 dollar vac – Bought from coles on impulse for 199. Works better than my other robots that I have spent 1000 dollars on. I didn’t do the wifi connection and emptying is annoying ( no tool in box) but apart from that it’s great . Show details ·  1

So Far So Good – Bought this from Coles a couple of days ago. I found that it cleaned my whole house halls included. Only have to manually reposition it to do the bedroom. So far happy with the product. Only thing missing in the box was my cleaning tool. Have requested for same to be sent out, so just waiting on that. Show details ·  1

Excellent Budget Robot Vac! – Have had it 1 week so far so can only rate based on this short time. Note: Never owned a Robot Vac. CONS: -Mapping System is pointless. -Struggled to get my phone app synced too robot, but now working as i synced it from another phone. -Doesnt always find its way to the charging point. PROS: -I'm very impressed for only costing $199 from… Read more ·  1

Coles.

-Suction is great and you can choose from 3 suction settings. Works well on both carpet and wood/tiled floors.

-Automatically switches to a stronger suction once it enters carpeted rooms (must select this in settings.) I only use Auto and edge cleaning. Picks up so much crumbs, dirt, pet hair and dust.

Overall it does its job and keeps my floors clean.

Excellent product – Easy to use and very handy gadget Specially it's suits for b Times and carpet as we don't have flooring boards. Both carpet and tiles works really well. Mechanism is really good and easy to clean aswell. Show details ·  1

Not bad a product but better competing vacs out there for just a bit more of $$$ – We bought it on special at Coles for $159. never had a robo vac machine before so wanted to give it a try. 12month warranty and coles 30day money back guarantee gave us confidence to give it a shot. We were very impressed with its sensors and ability to vac tile and carpet floors. house was super clean for 4 weeks we had this product. but then… Read more

problems along the way - Major battery concerns (started with giving us 50mins of clean time) but on the final day before it died, it ran for 20mins. So battery life depleted faster than one can imagine. Floor Mapping was another major issue, it was a lost soul at home and would never return back to base when running out of battery. Only 1 out of 60+ scheduled clean times in 4 weeks did it return back to charging point. Gets caught up in wires and one would imagine it could untangle, but nope, it will get stuck somewhere under the table or sofa and stay there till you go hunting for it. The smartlife app did connect each time but is a generic third party app meaning you will have to go deeper to find information that you need about the vac, run time, battery life, etc etc. We finally returned it and got our money back and waiting for eufy to go on sale at jb.

Robotika robot vacuum – For $199 this is something worth considering if you are interested in robot vacuums. But comparing this to its higher price point competitors; this model should be sitting in the corner wearing the dunce hat. Overall, it's worth getting if your considering buying a robot vacuum but are still on the fence about dropping 2-3x it's the price on a… Read more

much smarter model.

There are several issues with this vacuum, that I've listed below.

Primarily being that it is unable to map the house properly. This model doesn't seem to have much in the way of AI, I've found it to get very lost a few times in a very simple U shaped floor plan.

It doesn't seem to be able to work when it should stop and return to home once the work is complete. Instead, it will just keep going until it runs low on power then return to base.

The moping function has a lot to be desired. The inability to determine when it's on the carpet as opposed to tile/wood means I end up with wet and dirt-stained carpet every time. So this is more of a gimmick unless you want to use the remote/phone app to manually control it.
