Roger Armstrong Sleep Easy Monitor RA9022G

Worst baby monitor – The battery doesn’t last off the plug for more than an hour and a half on either the monitor or camera. It only has one charger so you can only have one plugged in at a time. So either the monitor or camera die before my baby has woken. Also the alarm goes off when the camera dies and wakes the baby. Show details
Terrible camera.and no customer support – Very poor camera The colour is blurred and dark The monitoring eye often collapses easily The monitor is hard to connect and often lose connection When it lost connection, makes very loud noise waking the baby up The light on the camera's eye can not turn off Doesn't worth the money Show details
Waste of money – This was promised to be a wonderful product at an Adelaide Baby Expo. The battery life is low, which necessitates it being plugged in constantly. 4 months in and the charging pin has now broken. There is no information available on how to send the product back given it is damaged and appears from other reviews to be a quality issue. Would not recommend. Show details
Total piece of crap – Only giving one star as can't give zero. Bought for $100 at a baby expo in Sydney, never worked from day 1 without being plugged in. Now, three months on it has died totally. Camera doesn't work, alarms spontaneously (loudly!) And zero customer support despite trying to contact the company many times. Do not buy. Show details
Terrible product – We bought it on the Sydney baby expo, and we regret so much.. Camera doesn’t work without being plug and the cable is just damaged after 5 months of use. Save yourself for some hassle and don’t buy any product from roger Armstrong. Unfortunately, Everything we bought is rubbish. Show details
Stopped charging after 6 months of use – We bought this in January and started using it , we occasionally had charge issues as it needs to be continuously charged and does not have the best battery life , however 2 weeks ago it completely stopped charging. I’ve contacted roger Armstrong as well but no response yet. I got it at a good price but I think its not worth it if the life is so short . Show details
It Okay – We paid just over $100 at baby expo in Mid 2019, it does the job but we have had issue with the camera and monitor connecting and disconnecting. Contacted Roger Armstrong who sent out new product to replace the faulty camera, So happy we didn’t have to go and purchase a new monitor and replacement was hassle free. Show details
Avoid this monitor – Sound was weird and no option to turn eco mode off. (Screen only turns on if there is noise or movement). The reception distance between camera and monitor was very short too. Did not auto connect to camera when turned back on. Show details
Great product and good value for money – Easy to use and lots of great functions. Pairs with several cameras at one time and I can talk to my baby through the monitor which is handy. Would highly recommend. Show details
Don’t expect a lifelong monitor – I purchased this monitor based on reviews of a sales person at a baby store in WA late last year. I started using it at the beginning of this month and initially it was fabulous! It had a perfect picture, screen woke when my baby moved or cried. However on initial use I could not play a lullaby, which was frustrating as any lullaby bear I played… Read more
within the room would set the screen off. This is also occurred if the air con was running, and in Far North Queensland, the air con is needed throughout the day.
Within 4 uses of this monitor, it stopped doing the great things. The screen no longer woke when my baby cried or stirred. I’d hear my little man before the monitor did anything. I would walk in the room or make noise and wave in front of the camera, and the screen stayed blank. Manually touch it and there I was, but no sound. Tried repairing and still not working. I searched high and low for a trouble shooting guide with nothing, in fact I found more negative reviews (great). Also the instructions were of no help whatsoever.
It is not user friendly compared to a lot of other monitors out there. For the price it was not worth it, I should of stuck to a known brand. Unfortunately since I am no longer in WA I can’t just take it back to the store, I have to wait for someone to reply to my online Enquiry.. still waiting and it’s in warranty. May get a reply when it’s out I guess.
Save your money and go for a brand that specialises in camera systems.
Warranty – I purchased a Roger Armstrong Baby monitor which stopped pairing after 18 months. I sent it back for assessment and they agreed that the monitor had indeed stopped pairing through no fault of mine but was no longer within the 1 year warranty period. One would think that a monitor should last more than a couple of years and that we should not be… Read more
forced to buy a new one every year. I would definitely not recommend Roger Armstrong monitors to anyone.
Good quality for the price, has many sensors in a compact system – Let me start with the product: this is whatever you could have asked from a baby monitor system. An independent control/pairing unit with capability of being paired with many camera units, high-quality monitor on the controller, impressive IR, temperature, voice sensors/microphone on the camera unit for the price. But, what is even more… Read more
impressive is the Roger Armstrong brand and their customer service. We had a lower-model baby monitor system, which we broke and it was absolutely our fault! They nicely said they will replace it and they sent this higher, significantly better, model totally free and even paid for a well-respected courier service. A customer cannot ask for anything more.
