Cheap – Had this for nearly 10 years. Always had trouble pressure cooking with it, most of the time it would never lock when it reached its heat, thus over cooking the meat before it even began to pressurise. Also the when slow cooking the meat was never that tender. Eventually the rubbing banding around the lid wore out. Only ever used it as an electric saucepan. I have upgraded to a crock pot, much better.  Show details

Love appliance but missing piece now makes it obsolete – Absolutely love my Ronson Pressure/Multi cooker but unfortunately the small silver valve thing has fallen out of lid and I cant find it anywhere. This part is not available neither is a completely new lid. Very upset that I have to ditch and replace a perfectly good machine for the sake of a small but presumably essential part. Show details

Revolutionised my dinners – This product was given to me and sat on the shelf for 6 months. Decided to give it away on a free site although all the positive comments to the advert prompted me to overcome my hesitation of using pressure cookers and give it a go. Oh my goodness last two months have been using it almost every day sometimes twice with a soup. Manual was not… Read more

A reliable pressure cooker that has saved me lots of time and energy! – This pressure cooker is actually really good for the price. It's simple to use and does what it needs to do. I have a number of simple recipes I use with this pressure cooker, and personally love the convenience and time saving. After 1.5 years of regular use the seal is a little worn now so would be good to replace the seal however other than that there are no issues with this sturdy product.  Show details

Love Our Slow Cooker – Absolutely love our cooker , have had it for a few years , have had no problems no issues at all ... Makes our lives so much simpler , my hubby uses it the most now , he loves it .. The meat is so tender and juicy , just falls off the bone , the soups are so tasty and so quick ..

The seal doesn't seal!! – After one year of use, the seal is not working well, so pressure does not build up. This is disappointing. Where can I buy seals for this pressure cooker? If not for this I am very pleased with the pressure cooker, and would recommend it to anyone. Have not used slow cooking function.  Show reply

Purchased and cooked a meal in the same day! – April 2015 I was watching an infomercial about a different pressure cooker and got all caught up in the hype, it looked so good! But $199.00 plus $24.95 delivery...now that I didn't get caught up in!! Decided to check out the shops. Went to one and they offered me a different branded one that honestly looked exactly the same as this Ronson… Read more ·  1

one but they wanted $180.00!! no no no! I didn't want to pay that much. So I kindly said I would look around first.

Went up to Target and they had this one on the shelf for $70.00!! Now that's more like it! I bought it and then went down to the supermarket to buy ingredients for chicken casserole!

On arriving home, I completely read the instruction book before I proceeded to prepare the machine for first use which is only washing and drying the parts that come into contact with the food. I turned on the machine to sauté mode...which I must add is a brilliant feature!! Don't need to dirty another pan to brown your meat! I sealed my chicken then added onions, celery and carrot and let these soften while I prepared my other veg. Added all my other ingredients and then turned off sauté mode and put the lid in place and set my cooker to curry setting, which includes all casseroles etc as well. The time said 24 minutes...but because I had used a double recipe, 1.5 kg of chicken plus a load of veg, which I made sure didn't go over the specified mark inside the bowl, I made it 40 minutes just incase!! Maybe I didn't trust it!! lol

When it heated up and reached pressure, which didn't take long because the machine was already warm from when I was sauteing, then the countdown started. It was so hard not to check it!! lol But I left it the 40 mins while I prepared potatoes to cook and mash to go with it. After the 40 mins, I released the pressure which only took about 2 mins then I opened the lid and tested a carrot...it was so soft! I reckon I should have trusted the time setting in the first place and left it on 24 minutes!! Everything was so nice. The chicken was lovely and soft and still juicy!!

Its a great size and made plenty of stew for my family of 7 and even some leftovers for tomorrow! It was very easy to use and the manual is great and really easy to follow and also has some wonderful sounding recipes I intend on trying!

One thing you must remember though, you need to have at least 1 cup of liquid for the pressure cooker to work properly and efficiently. Make sure you thoroughly read the instructions and get yourself familiar with them.

My first attempt at using this machine I would dub a great success! I am looking forward to trying more things out!

You can also use it as a slow cooker, rice cooker, and it has a keep warm function as well! Fantastic! Another wonderful feature is that its cord is removable so you can take it straight to the table if you want! And this makes for easier storage too!

Highly recommend this machine even after just one use, will be looking after it well so I get many years of use out of it!

***UPDATE AFTER 3 MONTHS USE***28/09/2015

Well my bubble has been burst!! After about 3 months use my machine now doesn't create the pressure needed. I have tried everything! So now I have to get a new one and sadly it wont be a ronson again!

But on a high note I have phoned customer service and they have given me some advice about returning it so hopefully it all pans out and I can get a new one.

***SORRY ABOUT ALL THESE UPDATES!!*** 30/09/2015

I decided to have another look at my Ronson and I checked the valves on the lid and took the rubber seal off the little valve and cleaned it although I couldn't physically see anything on there and I tightened another valve thing that was under there, put it all back together and put some water in it and turned it on. Voila! It worked so I dared to cook a Moroccan lamb stew in it and guess what!!?? Its working!! First time again! I am so happy I don't have to fork out for another!! Although I might it the future because 2 would come in handy with my big family!!

****OK OK LAST ONE!!**** 17/10/15

I've come to the conclusion that it was... shock horror!! user error!!! I have realised the times it didn't build pressure were times I had it overfilled!! I was pushing the limits and pushed a bit too far! I have been using it regularly, maybe 3 times a week since and always, ALWAYS make sure I don't go over the max line for stews etc and GUESS WHAT!!?? It has worked every time!! So I am happy to admit that and continue using my fantastic little, great value, pressure cooker!!

Frustrating slow cooker poor, pressure cooker won't gain pressure periodically – Four times let us down due to no pressure at all. Used slow cooker and very poor. Have also used this pressure cooker and results very pleasing. Would be happy with this unit if reliable with the pressure cooking gaining steam as it should do and the saving time factor with pressure cooking is quick and usually reliable with perfect end results.

Brilliant – Your new (cooking) life starts here. Simple to use. Adapts easily to slow cooker recipes. Sympathetic to experimentation. I've had no failures. None! roasts, bolognese, chilli con carne (using mince), custards, potato bakes (yes potato bakes). If you can do it in an oven you should consider trying it in the Ronson RPR800. If you can do it in a… Read more

slow cooker you can definitely do it in the Ronson RPR800 in relatively no time. The difference is taste. Flavours don't escape. If you have a Ronson RPR800 and you aren't happy you aren't using it properly. It's not hard and the rewards are great. I can even set it and forget it. Try doing that with a stove top pressure cooker. This is not a paid announcement. I don't represent the company. I'm an air traffic controller. set and forget. Cook anything I have too many sensational leftovers

great product – works well. Great price. Manual not that great. Customer service though. All the settings are the same pressure. If using cookbook..pressure is 12 or 13 ppi . On all settings so vary accordingly. After i found this out it is a very well priced pressure cooker. Easy to use. Nice product. price point. good customer service. instructions are vague. had to ring customer service to find out pressure rating. Show reply

Very disappointed - can't get my lamb out of the machine!!! – I am very unhappy with this unit - first two times using it were ok, very much trial and error for the first piece of meat cooked as it was not either 750gm or 1kg as per the instruction manual. 2nd time was really good. 3rd time I can't open the lid - steam has vented completely and the unit is now starting to cool down and the lid will not… Read more

Good for the regular on sale price – I have had this for a year now and use it weekly to make curries and stews. Have not tried the other functions. But it makes very tender meat in 24 min. Cooker is still working well but the seal has become a bit loose in the lid so sometimes it is not sitting perfectly and the pressure will not build up. So I have to open the lid and re- adjust the seal. Cheap Loose seal after 1 year

Good for pressure cooking, lousy slow cooking – I've had this for over a year, hubby bought it to replace my broken slow cooker. The searing function works well. Pressure cooking is good. That is, once you figure out how to make it happen! The manual is useless. Absolutely terrible. Also, the slow cooking function just does not work. very long time. Also the size of the bowl make fitting larger items like you would in a traditional slow cooker difficult, like a large roast or ham hock.

I've struggled for over a year and have finally bitten the bullet and bought a new slow cooker as I really missed having one. I don't pressure cook very often.

I don't think I would recommend this machine as a slow cooker. Pressure cooking, ability to sear food first No heat control. Terrible manual. Slow cooking doesn't work

Pressure Cooks Great, terrible slow cook – I purchased my Ronson 6 in 1 in February, I use it quite often both for pressure cooking and slow cooking. I still like to use the slow cook function but find that when it says slow it is extremely… Read more

slow, too slow (you cant change time or temperature setting). It is frustrating as there are still some things I like to slow cook and after cooking all day they still aren't cooked and I have to finish them off in pressure cook mode. I bought the machine so I would save on cupboard space by having 6 appliances in 1 but am now thinking I am better off buying a separate slow cooker. Can sear then cook in the one appliance. Pressure cooking great. Slow cooker mode is terrible and takes far too long (longer than a normal slow cooker). Manual is usueless and cooking guides don't help at all. Lots of guess work involved.

love it to cook with – I gave it excellent to cook with but the manual is useless you have to figure it out for yourself first time I used it made a stew it was great 24 minutes once the steam built up and meat was so tender I have made soups and they are great rice also love it everything except manual manual no good

Hopeless manual – The pressure cooker is great the manual doesn't explain much recipes have no times to cook only a hand full of these is no good. You need to redo your manual with photos that show exactly what to do would be good and what is your WEB site can't find it for more instructions we the consumer need more than whats in this hopeless manual. Good price works great but practicaly teach yourself.you give no clues on all function and times. The Manual

Ronson RPR800 – I used the bellin at my aunts and found it great, but the reviews where not very good, so when shopping at target and picked up the Ronson RPR800 for $76, have had no problems and find it excellent for its purpose, I have cooked Thai curry, pot roast, soup and rice. as with all gadgets, experiment and you will reap the rewards. no heat in the kitchen , very quick and versitile. the manual needs to be redone. cooks at home are not technicians,  Show reply

I think it's quite good – My mum used to cook in pressure cooker and I remember how quick and tasty the meals were. Pressure cooking is really easy and rewarding. cook. All functions and timing are preset.

Some other ones have more advanced functions like the amount of pressure, timing etc, which can be a bit confusing and you have to know more about cooking.

The only (or maybe major) downside is the manual which is really hopeless. Diagrams are incomplete, don't show everything clearly, like the venting position, condensation collector, cooking times etc. mistakes in receipes.

I had to do a lot of research in manuals of various brands to actually determine whether what I'm doing is correct.

Still love it for the fact that it cooks well, has preset functions and it was cheap!!!:) Cheap, look, preset functions, you can adjust timing, fast and slow cooking Bad instruction manual, too few recipes
