Excellent, well priced product – I've ha my Ronson for over 10 years and have had nothing but good cooking from it. I cannot understand why anyone would have problems. I can only assume people do not read the instructions (and I do know that most males don't believe in instructions) and just abuse the appliances they have. I read instructions look after my gear and use… Read more
(something that seems to be out of fashion) common sense. I often look at reviews for other cookware that I've had for years and are still good to go and am amazed at the remarks. What do they do, tap dance all over them!! I sometimes think that the bad review are just put in by the competitors.
Great slow cooker – Love this slow cooker was the first slow cooker i brought, i have cooked many different meals in this, always cooked perfectly. Made savoury mince, casseroles, stews, lamb shanks, soups. Show details
Glad to see it's discontinued – Used once and will be throwing in the bin. Sauce stuck to sides and I can't get the roughness off, soaked 3 times. Have never had sauce stick to sides of a slow cooker before. Ended up trying a scourer and now it seems enamel is coming off but the rough sauce residue remains. Also, after being only on warm setting for 2 hours I realised the… Read more
bench was so hot I'm amazed it didn't catch fire! Luckily I bought this at 40% off so not a huge loss - very disappointed though and won't buy this brand again (sorry).
Wintery dinner perfection – My wife bought a slow-cooker and I was reluctant to change from my habits with slow-roasting in the oven, but after a few of her experiments, I got into the mood to try as well. It was very quick to show its worth; for ease of preparation, great results and ease of cleaning up. Because the heat is more gentle, a light scrub removes all sauces that… Read more
have baked on - for my casseroles in the oven, I'd be scrubbing for ages to the dish cleaned properly.
The removable ceramic bowl is big, but still fits in the fridge when you want to store your food.
I haven't done many desserts in it yet, but the forums for slow-cookers rave about the puddings no end.
Great buy – Can't remember when u bought it as it's so long ago. Stammers, the shop where I bought it not longer exists. It is still going strong and is one of the best buys I have ever made. I believe they no longer make them which is sad. It was fairly inexpensive. Have to add a month and date to submit but this info is very inaccurate as can't remember. Show details
Love this . My favourite kitchen item – Easy to use . Large enough for a family . Easy to clean . Dials easy to use . Inside bowl a bit heavy to lift out to wash. Los good size and seals well to bowl . Cheap to run. Doesn't take up a lot of bench space . Show details
If you find it, BUY IT! – I bought my Ronson Slow Cooker about 10 years ago now. Yes it's not as big as some sunbeam ones, or even kambrook. But after working in the retail industry 11 years, this little baby has lasted a decade & still cooks just as well as it did on the first day! Its a shame they're not being sold anymore, but if you see one BUY IT! Show details
Good little slow cooker – Picked this one up at a second hand shop a few months ago and it's done us well. Just needing to get some recipes off the Internets and away we go. Set it up in the morning and come home to a nicely cooked meal in the evening. The first few times we used it, the meat ended up being really dry, but that's because we thought it needed to be on… Read more
the higher setting. Wrong and wrong. Keep it on the lower setting if you're going to be leaving it for longer than 6 hours.
Ioved this slow cooker but – I loved this slow cooker. It was large, easy to use, easy to clean and did everything it promised. Unfortunately it just stopped working almost as soon as it was out of warranty. I now use the insert in the oven, with foil to cover as the lid has a plastic knob. Have to say teh recipe book was worth getting the cooker. The recipes are really really good. Show details
I think it's really good – I'm new to slow cooking, my mother in law brought it but never used it so I took it. I've used it more than 20 times and I really like lamb shanks and the McCormick brand slow cooker packet mixes highly recommended not sure when or where it was purchased im guessing around 2012/2013 Show details
Poor quality ceramic bowl – I'm not very happy - my hardly used slow cooker insert has cracked along the bottom which leaks if I use it. I've contacted the company before leaving this review and they told me they can't replace the bowl and "sorry for the inconvenience". I received this as a gift but I won't be buying Ronson again. Poor quality – Only used 3-4 times and the ceramic pot has cracked all around the bottom. I agree with others, way too hot for slow cooking, hence the ceramic cracked. Also the stainless steel has all rusty spots already too. Lastly,, Fire hazard !!!! If you have one, I would not leave it unattended... Show details
Stopped working – Bought just over a year ago at Target...so out of warranty..Only used a few times and stopped working...paid full price...never will purchase Ronson again!!!! no wonder this has been discontinued by Ronson...

Woeful! – I bought 2 of these and both stopped working after 4 uses! Will never buy Romson again. Or buy one from Target again

Rubbish – I purchased a RSC100 as a gift for my son. He used it twice and it would not work the third time. I took it back to Target Bribie Island where I purchased it and they would not do anything without a reciept. I am very unhappy with the service and the the product. No warranty no service
I love this cooker – This is a large slow cooker. It is easy to clean and use and I am very happy with it. As some have stated it does cook a little too fast (when on slow) if you are going to be way for more than 6 or 7 hours. This means that if you are away for 10 hours the food will be over done. This doesn't really matter if it is a soup but if their is meat… Read more
in it, it will seem to 'disappear'. All the flavour will be there but no chunky bits of meat.
If I use it while working, I put it on just before leaving for work. I then ask my daughter to turn it onto the 'warm' setting when she gets home from school which means it only gets to cook (on low) for 7 hours. This works well. If I am at home I generally use it on high for an hour and then turn it down to low for the next 4 or 5 hours. Sure beats having to constantly monitor a pot sitting on a stove. Its BIG and easy to clean Cooks a little too fast if you are away from home for more than 6 or 7 hours but still ok.
Cooks too hot – I decided to upgrade my Sunbeam slow cooker (model no: HP003) which is many years old because I wanted a larger slow cooker, hence the main reason I chose the Ronson slow cooker. I have found that bigger is definately not better. The main reason that I use a slow cooker is that I should be able to put a meal on in the morning, be able to go… Read more
out, and then have it ready at dinner time. I cant do this with the Ronson, because even on low temperature, it appears to cook at a high temperature, which leaves food overcooked and not very palatable. The food will bubble away (which it never did with my Sunbeam) and I could probably cook it in less time than recipes suggest, but that is not the idea of a slow cooker! I will now have to try and find another slow cooker. Good size. Cooks to hot (even on low).
Dangerous slow cooker – I bought this appliance for my daughter - not recommended Cooks way too hot on slow setting - put it on at 10pm on slow, at 1pm it was boiling and bubbling- the bench got so hot under it we were lucky it didn't catch fire - put a cutting board under it for the remainder of the night and the bench was still burning to touch through the cutting… Read more
board at 6am when i turned it off and the handles were burning to touch. The lid did not seal either as it is supposed to.
The meat had cooked for 8 hours on slow, it was burnt and the juices had burnt and stuck to the ceramic bowl (which is now soaking so i can clean it and return it to Target
This is a terrible and very dangerous appliance to use - would never use it unattended - that defeats the purpose of a Slow Cooker
It's a shame we cannot buy new Monier Crock Pots - which are the best - i have had one for 30 years and it still cooks perfect meals every time.
Best Kitchen Investment – Recently purchased this product on sale at Target. I'd been told that slow cookers were great and so after buying decided to whip up some steak and veg! The Ronson Slow cooker is amazing - it cooks to perfection, has a low and high temp setting depending on how fast you want it cooked in and also a warm setting that's just perfect when im waiting… Read more
to serve the hubby when he gets home from work. Not to mention it's super easy to clean! Inexpensive, easy to clean, easy to use.
Possible problem with new versions – Had used my parents Ronson slow cookers for a number of years with no problems at all. Great for cooking a few meals worth at a time to freeze for later. Moved out and bought one on special from Target for only $25.85. Used it twice and then it stopped working so exchanged it for same model at Target. Same thing happened again. Got a refund and… Read more
purchased Sunbeam HP5520 based on the good reviews on this site. Cheap price...but maybe that's not a good thing Not built to last any more
Wouldn't recommend – It cooks way too fast for a slow cooker. I have tried and tried again to make a nice slow cooked meal in this cooker but it boils away at high speed after about an hour even though it's on low and the meal is ruined. What happened to the old proper slow cookers? If anyone out there knows of a modern slow cooker that actually slow cooks, please post it! Cheap Cooks way too fast even on low setting
same - I have a sunbeam and it is wonderfully slow and i can cook all night. the Ronson is way… Read more (+1 reply)
Best product ever bought – I bought this slow cooker on special at Target and was a little skeptical because it was on special but decided to try it out and what a wonderful product it is!!! It is one of my best buys ever. All my friends were using slow cookers because they work full-time and recommended this slow cooker. Great price, convenient, easy to use.

Great product, easy and delicious meals! – I find this slow cooker fantastic and have never had any problems cooking anything with it including roast meals! The food is cooked to perfection. The only food I wouldn't recommend you make in it are minced meat meals because the meat is already so fine it doesn't need to cook for long and will dry up or burn. Everything else is excellent! Easy to use
Excellent – This slow cooker is great! nothing I have cooked has ever burnt, from soups to casseroles and roasts! it is so easy to use, I love that I can put my meal on in the morning or the night before and come home to a fully cooked dinner with minimal effort! Easy to use, can turn it on a leave the food cooking all day, easy to clean, has several heat… Read more
settings, glass lid means you can check the food without taking the lid off, very easy to clean Non really, others have said it is hard to clean, but I found it quite easy.
Really pleased with performance – Nothing bad to say about this cooker. We have had excellent results from all the dishes we have cooked in it. Some people have commented it is difficult to clean, that has not been our experience, we simply fill the pot with water after cooking and then eat our dinner and then empty it and clean, no problems. Cooks really well
No perfect! Can live without it – To start I though it was going to be perfect, but over the time I have used it I find that the liquid does not like to stay in the Cooker. It much prefers to leak out all over the kitchen bench. So, I decided to cover it with a large Tea towel. No go, the towel was wet and there was no liquid left. The food had stuck to the sides and was starting to stick to the bottom.
Good – It's great, i have made some really good meals and it's very economic as a single person. I can take the food to work each day for lunch. I love love love my slow cooker. It is easy to use and yóu just put it on and away you go. You don't have to worry about cooking at night. It can be hard to clean the ceramic bowl which is also heavy.
Terrible – Would not recommend the purchase at all as it seems that the temperature is far too high for casseroles they always burn. I liked the look of it Only good for soups as it burns everything else.
Good – I love my slow cooker: it turns cheap cuts of meat into mouth-watering dishes. Specific to this slow cooker, I mostly use the low setting and have had no problems with it. It does the job, I don't think you need anything too fancy when it comes to slow cookers but it is a bit of a pain to clean afterwards. It often tends to sit in our sink soaking… Read more
for a day until one of us gives in and cleans it. It is a big size, great for family meals. The inner is hard to clean, food becomes baked on and it requires alot of soaking and elbow grease to clean. I have friends with other brand cookers that are not this hard to clean.
Good – Great product and well worth buying for my household. I would recommend this to anyone. I had to search for a good sized one and this one fitted our needs. Nice size for a big family. Have never had any problems with ours. It has never burnt any of our food. Hard to clean the stainless steel exterior.
Good – I love my Ronson slow cooker. I don't find it hard to clean at all, as the ceramic insert pot comes out easily, and a bit of soapy water and elbow grease is all it needs. I have accidently left it on high all night - it didn't burn the house down, but did ruin the meal. So now I just use it on the low setting, and everything turns out perfect… Read more
(just takes a bit longer to cook) Easy to use, easy to clean, looks good next to the other stainless kitchen appliances Not a good idea to leave it on high overnight, or all day when you are not home, it does seem to get very hot, and your meal will over cook and turn out bad. It works best for me if I can leave it on high for a few hours, then turn it down to low for the rest of the cooking time.
Excellent – Perfect cooker! I have never used a slow cooker before and am starting to wonder why I havent! It cooks everything to perfection and the kids and hubby are loving all the wonderful thikngs I can cook even when I'm at work!!! Big size for a large family. Love the stainless exterior. Cooks a meal perfectly. The pot was a bit hard to clean, but soaked for an hour and came off with ease.
Excellent – I love this slowcooker, I mainly cook lamb shanks and soup in it, i have never had a problem with my food burning or anything. I love that I can put the food in there and leave it for 8 hrs and it produces yummy tender food. I liked that it was big and the look of it appealed to me. it can be hard to wash, when things have been cooking in there for 8 hrs bits of food get stuck to the sides but it just needs soaking to get it off.
