Very bad and terrible experience with Team Rotimatic/Zimplistic. My rotimatic stopped working, and since it was in warranty, I asked for a replacement. First of all the replacement product came in 5 MONTHS, yes 5 Months, I was unable to understand their process of delivery etc, why the hell it took them 5 months to dispatch. Then the new Rotimatic… Read more

only lasted for few days and stopped working. I was advised, as soon as the old product is picked up from my place, new product will be dispatched. It's now been a month, the faulty product was picked up but there are no signs of dispatching the replacement product.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, VERY BAD TOP MANAGEMENT AND THE OWNERS DO NOT RESPOND EVEN IF KEPT IN EMAIL LOOP. NO COURTSEY.

Worked for a while. Such a poor service once after you bought . Hard to get in touch in with anyone, if it all you get an appointment after 2 weeks they never contact with you. Tried online chat multiple times and no response apart from AI response. Such terrible service, not worth for money. Never recommend any one to buy. Rotimatic is waste of time and waste of money.

Terrible and probably non existent customer service. The machine worked well for 2 years with minor glitches from time to time. But since the machine broke down, the customer service has been frustrating to deal with. Multiple emails and chat messages on their app have led to nothing but false or no responses. Its been almost 3 months and the… Read more

machine continues to sit as a box packed and ready to be shipped back so that a replacement can be sent by them but there has been almost zero assistance in this matter. I would have invested in the newer model too if this fault would have happened after warranty but I dont think I will make that mistake now. Please dont waste your money on the product.

After receiving my Rotimatic on 30th December, after spending 10 - 12 hrs on support chats, phone support, getting text messages we understand your frustration, eating uncooked rotis for nearly 45 days I wanted to return my Rotimatic, finally Rotimatic connected me to someone who had the authority to do something. After a firmware update I have… Read more

started getting excellent Roti’s. Rotimatic could save its reputation and costs if they gave a properly programmed roti maker in the first place

I purchased a Rotimatic next and received it on 30th December 2025. After hours of support I have been unable to get a decent Roti. Let me list the problems with the machine 1) Can only use select Atta's it may have a whole list of ways of cooking… Read more

but can only use a few select Atta's 2) After changing to Pillsbury gold, an Atta that I think is more Maida then wholemeal the roti's are undercooked on max setting 3) After spending over 6hrs on support the rotis are still under cooked 4) The support team in Phillipines can access your machine remotely but are unable to increase the Roasting time above a certain limit and have been unwilling to escalate the matter. It is a layer to keep the management isolated from the problems.

Now I want to return the item and there is silence.

My recommendation do not buy

Follow-up  · After hours and hours on phone support the Rotimatic is functioning reasonably however I would have liked the option of not having to put the settings on full roast to get cooked Rotis. The choice of Atta’s is also very restrictive.

We used the first Rotimatic for 6 years and it served us well. Recently, we upgraded to the Rotimatic Next. At first, there were a few issues, but the support team helped resolve them with updates. This new version is much improved faster, more reliable, and the rotis come out soft and very close to handmade. A huge upgrade from the older model and we’re very satisfied with the experience.

Extremely disappointing experience – avoid if you value your money and peace of mind. I placed an order for the Rotimatic and cancelled it shortly after, well before it was shipped. Despite receiving confirmation of my cancellation, the company dispatched the unit anyway and refused to organise a refund. To make matters worse, Rotimatic… Read more

continues to charge me through their payment partner, Splitit, and neither company has taken responsibility. I’ve contacted customer service multiple times, only to be met with vague responses, delays, and no resolution. This is not just poor customer service – it’s a breach of consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law. I’ve now had to escalate the matter to my bank and consumer protection authorities. The product itself may be innovative, but if something goes wrong, be prepared for a complete lack of accountability. I cannot recommend Rotimatic or Splitit based on this experience. They are asking to wait 30 days for refund or pause payment as they made the mistake of dispatching it post cancellation

We have been experiencing ongoing issues with the machine for several weeks now, and unfortunately, there has been no resolution so far. The customer service support has been extremely disappointing. Despite multiple requests for a callback, we have not received any response. Each time we reach out via chat, we are required to repeat the same… Read more

Rotimatic do not buy this machine – So Rotimatic comes up with a brilliant solution as per them, that I pay $700 for warranty and they would then pick up my machine for repair, by back dating my warranty from when it expired. And that means after the repair when the machine breaks down again within a year which I’m sure it will , I again will have no warranty as it would expire… Read more

because of being back dated. N with that dollar amount I still have an old repaired machine, without warranty. What ridiculous solution, for a big company like that. N it’s a shame that they make the repeat customer go through this.

The back history of my purchase—

So I ordered a Rotimatic thinking it would make life easier.. even though it costed me $1500 AUD. But after giving it a lot of thought decided to purchase one. The customer service sucks. I didn't take extended warranty because it was additional $200 and just for another year. I didn't think a machine that expensive could break down in a little over a year. So recently my kicker stopped moving. After few complaints back n forth the technical team told me there is some hardware issue. Which I just think it could be no issue but they r not really rectifying inorder for me to purchase another unit or give them some good amount of bucks for repair. They said the hardware is badly damaged and gave me 2 options: and just to be fair they thought they are being reasonable by giving me these 2 option, first of all they don't have a service centre in Australia so they would want to physically see the machine so for repair it would cost me around $600 with only a 3 months warranty and the other option is I purchase a refurbished model for around $1000 with a one year warranty with no extended warranty. It's just a rip off, a money making strategy. And they compare themselves to other big companies who also have hardware issues so the extended warranty is recommended. I have owned a lot of machines never have I ever faced a $600 repair amount for a $1500 machine. Just for them to see the machine and figure out what is wrong. I would never ever recommend anyone a Rotimatic.. there r other ways.. to spend. It's the worst worst investment. The worst customer service team and the worst hardware team.. And to top it all after discussing with few friends and family just discovered it's a common issue... The machine doesn't last more than 3 years at the maximum and normally breaks down within a year and a half.. A lot of people I know had to throw the machine because of this issue because no one wants to pay that amount for a refurbished version. N to top it all when I mentioned these things to the customer care team they only had this to say. Sorry to hear about your experience .. if you want extended warranty you could purchase a new one from our website... As if .. extended warranty for what??? For the machine to break down in 2 years. I think it's a money making scheme as the technician remotely tries to fix the issue through controlling the machine n m sure they are aware of the warranty and they decide accordingly if the problem can be resolved or not. And then leave the customer with no other option but to choose either of the 2 options.. Don't ever invest in a Rotimatic..!!! Its the worst hardware, machine ans to top it customer service.

Rotimatic refused to comply with Australian Consumer Law – I bought Rotimatic Plus, although it didn’t say “Plus” anywhere on the machine. When I brought it to their attention they gave me the most unconvincing response I ever heard. “We’re yet to rebrand the machines, but rest assured it is Rotimatic Plus.”Right, how do I know? The machine only gave trouble from day one. One day I was fed up and asked… Read more

for refund. They accepted that the machine is faulty but would not refund. This was despite me explicitly telling them that it is my right under the Australian Consumer Law. They also seem to be using paid reviews on trust pilot to artificially boost their trustworthiness. Analyse carefully and you’ll know. Only 5% of the reviews are verified and they’re all negative. Surprise!!

I reported them to ACCC for breach of Consumer Guarantee and unconscionable conduct. If you own a Rotimatic and it’s not saving you time and money as promised on their website, don’t put up with it. You should report it to ACCC as well. Otherwise, these sort of [Content Removed] businesses will keep keep taking advantage of your silence and rob you of your hard earned money.

Bad product! Worse customer service! – Our rotimatic worked okay for 2 years before it suddenly stopped one day. Customer service agreed it was a hardware problem in about 10% of their machines but didn't accept it as a manufacturing defect. After a number of calls and arguments, the problem couldn't be resolved and now our machine sits in the trash. This company only cares about… Read more

Worthless customer service - i regret dealing with them – We raised this issue on 11th December 2022 and so far we have spent more than 6 hours on call with your team and have exchanged 50+ emails/messages with your team to get to a resolution. The team has failed on each and every occasion - we are frustated to such an extent that it is causing us mental health issues now because of your teams poor… Read more

handing of the issues.

We have spent countless time waiting for calls - As per website you respond back to chat messages in 7 to 10 minutes but I waited for more than 8 hours before getting lame response from your team. This means you are breaching your service levels by whopping ~ 50 times

I spoke to [Name Removed] yesterday and he promised a call back and resolution today but it's 11:17 PM and I have no responses to my messages. I have no words to describe this and want to have a replacement unit sent to me ASAP. my unit will be out of warranty in less than a week and I will not buy an arument that you can't support me because the unit is out of warranty now - we raised the issue 6+ weeks back.

I am actively looking at legal recourse as well sharing this on social media so that you don't dupe more people.

Works if you get lucky – We bought a Rotimatic 2016 and it worked fine till 2021. But now it shows the message ‘flour is low’ even if it’s completely filled. We even bought a $60 flour container thinking it might help. But sadly it didn’t work and money is wasted..absolutely no help with the repair. Rotimatic is an awesome product but I can’t say the same about the customer service..it’s hard to get in touch with any live representative. Finally I will have to dump it.

Very poor Customer Support Service – Rotimatic you should feel shame on you, selling such an expensive machine and when it come to support you don't have any direct line where people can speak and solve their problem. This issue last 3+ weeks, tried all the option you shared using various article, tried connecting via NBN, Mobile hot spot, Wifi Dongle but nothing work, Shared video problem with you over email after compressing etc as Your mobile App upload Video functionality also doesn't work. but so far no resolution. There is no video troubleshooting at your end. I will surely make complaint in Australian Consumer Forum about this inappropriate behavior what you guys having in support. We get much better service even if buy $10 mobile plan in Australia, you selling such expensive machine and have very poor support channel which must need improvement.
