Rover Combat

Bomb proof! Been to hell and back – Given this thing a hiding over the last couple of years (5) regularly serviced and maintained though. It was hand me down from the old man who gave it hell and did not take good care of the old girl. Catcher is a bit small, but starts first pull every time! Would like a Honda, but can’t bring myself to buy one, with old girl still in the shed. Probably one of the last mowers made in Brisbane, Australia.

It is an excellent mower – I've had this mower for 2 years. I brought it from cash converters I've been mowing 2 acres going well
WHERE CAN I BUY A ROVER COMBAT LAWN MOWER?????? – i have had a rover combat mower for many many years and want to buy another one and cant find anyone who sells them please help
Excellent – This has been a very reliable mower, meaning it's Briggs & Stratton Quantum XE 35 engine must be good quality. The whole system has been very durable. My family has had this mower for over a decade and we have been extremely happy with it. It has just been incredibly reliable. No "push and prime" technology makes this so easy to start. Just pull and go. 4 stroke means you don't have to worry about mixing 2-stroke fuel. The handle isn't as comfortable as some mowers, but that is of minor importance.
I consider this mower to be an excellent choice for the average garden.
I found out recently from a reputable mower shop that Rover no longer uses the same quality engines as they did in the Rover Combat. Their later models are Chinese-made, and not nearly as reliable. The build quality is also worse. According to Wikipedia "Rover Mowers shut down its Australian manufacturing plant in Eagle Farm Queensland on 1 April 2007. Lawnmower production has commenced from their manufacturing plant in China. Rover continues to have an Australian branch for spare parts, mower distribution and customer care."
