The best still – At some point I also got the mini to try again, first try was years before this try and the dogs didn’t like it, but that was than and now they do. In fact out of both this and Chihuahua, they prefer this. The ingredients have changed however and now contain more corn and less meat but now also contain the ingredient for teeth health. I have not gotten the new bag yet, I still have the old one, so I’m wondering how much it’s actually changed, like look and smell.

I haven’t noticed any specific things happening with this kibble, like I did with the Chihuahua one early on.

Their coats still look good even on this one and it seems to smell very similar to the Chihuahua one. It’s also shaped like cat food.

I will stop buying the Chihuahua one and buy this one instead, because they’ve gone completely off that one and this one even after all these years of buying they still love.

Leaving me with only two kibbles to give now, which kinda sucks, very little variety outside of the air dried meals, but yeah girl can’t have pulses/wheat/barley, so I really don’t have any options whatsoever pertaining to kibble.

That I noticed, compared to the Chihuahua one and Advance small breed, it does nothing for the tummy, in terms of settling it down. No increased energy either and in essence it’s nothing special, but the dogs like it and I need more than 1 kibble.

New ingredients: Dehydrated poultry proteins, wheat flour, maize flour, animal fats, maize, wheat gluten, barley, maize gluten, wheat, hydrolysed animal proteins, minerals, beet pulp, soya oil, yeasts products, fructo-oligosaccharides, fish oil, algal oil Schizochytrium sp.

Pretty much means I can’t feed it anymore as they can’t have wheat that high and barley messes them up. So that’s one less kibble now and I think despite buying an old bag I got the new formula, because no one wants it anymore.

It did look bigger, but smelled the same to me anyways, but yeah the look of it had me figuring it’s the new recipe and than yeah the fact that the dogs went from “loving it” to not touching it.

Dammit!

To add the boy does like the Mini Puppy from time to time, but the girl can’t eat it because of her teeth, she was also spitting it out when she did finally bite into it. So thinking two things here. 1. Doesn’t like the flavour and 2. It’s too hard for her limited set of teeth.

So will not be buying it again just for one dog to enjoy once or twice a week. Will try the Chihuahua puppy one next and than I’m done if that doesn’t one doesn’t work either.

Will stick to Advance until I find something, if ever, in the future.

The ingredients have completely changed, the food is now wheat based and not corn based and the dogs who frequently ate it like it was crack, now refuse it and only eat it when there is legit nothing else on offer and even than not every single time.

Although I’ll admit they have wheat and barley allergies and so I think it’s best they don’t eat it, but I merely wanted to test it and a few small feedings wouldn’t cause them any big issues, the issues seem to present themselves when they eat a lot of it every day.

So I will not be buying it anymore as it’s a waste of money, better spent elsewhere and on food they love.
