RTX Dualphone 4088

A solid phone with no Skype Microsoft support now – I have used this phone for personal and business use and it was a solid performer. Sadly Microsoft has stopped Skype hardware support and now it's useless. A $275 brick that can be used as an intercom but not as a Skype phone. Thanks Microsoft for the support and backup! Skype service has been stopped – The phone itself works ok (or worked ok until Microsoft stopped the service a couple of weeks ago). At this point the phone cannot be used with skype login. Due to this there is very little point of buying this hardware. Once again, this is Microsoft issue and not the RTX Dualphone 4088 problem. Show details
Sick – No support - no advise - sold this crap by Skype to me. Was fine for year then give up without notice. No connection or drop connection. No service available by Skype either. Any way - not available in market either. Don`t waste your time and money. Good luck everyone. Show details
Great phone - Purchased in 2013 and still works like a charm – Great phone overall, Our business has been using this phone system since 2013 and it is still working like new. Only 1 problem so far, New batteries have been installed in one of the phones. Everything else is great. Highly recommended phone system for homes and small businesses. Shop around for a good price. Thanks
Why are you still selling it when it no longer works – The phone was brilliant until it decided one day it no longer would find it's base station. Now it's useless and there is some sort of firmware upgrade that we can't get? Waste of money. Don't believe me? Then google the model number and read the pleas off those of us who bought a super product....until they screwed us all over.
It does what I need it to do.... Skype Calls – Its better than the older model 3088. Nice hard feel responsive buttons, clear readable screen, good call clarity. Bought from chatandvision for peace of mind even though Ebay was cheaper. Delivery took two weeks from Hong Kong. Arrived in clear bubble wrap for all to see with incorrect contents/value declared to customs. Included was a 45 minute… Read more
call voucher. 2AAA batteries were dead flat and took all day to charge fully using the phone cradle.
Battery life is really poor – The phone it self is okay to me. I didnt expect more than old grandpa' style. But they should work with battery life. I have installed a pair of new battery, but it is draining like water. This is wifi time. Why the base station has no capability to connect wifi! The phone can come in slim design. I can expect a strong durable handset for $109;… Read more
but this is not. Though it is an expensive phone, but has no good quality. sound quality battery life, not durable, poor design
Good - suits my purpose - a little overpriced – I was looking for a dedicated skype phone. I had previously used a second hand android smart phone but found there were issue with skype staying online and ensuring the battery was charge. The RTX phone works well, the setup was easy and the call quality is crisp and clear (much better than using skype on a mobile over the wireless network). It… Read more
does exactly what it is supposed to do. I purchased via skype but found (after I paid) the price on the website was much lower - I felt ripped off.
Perfect phone love it – Had a few problems installing initially, but Chat and Vision emailed further information, which was appreciated, and then everything went as per instructions. Have used the 'phone and no voice delay which is brilliant. The delivery was super quick and have nothing but praise for the company Chat and Vision Neat in size, good sound, no delay as in previous 'phones Instructions for installation are not very "user friendly"
Good choice! – Nice quality phone device with lots of features and superior sound quality! Very useful for those who do a lot of overseas calls as we do and they don't want to be in front of a computer all the time! I loved that I can place the handset/charger anywhere in the house, regardless where the base station and the internet supply is! The way you manage… Read more
the contacts is really a piece of cake, as you just type them on skype on the computer and they are automatically downloaded to the handset after the next sign in! Product quality, Cystal sound quality, Dual operation Relatively small screen, however the colours are attractive, The battery charger is very poorly designed-handset very easy to fall
Proved to be a good phone – After considerable amount of trying to resolve initial set up issues and minimal assistance available, the phone proved to be fine. Four years on it was still working ok until our transfer to NBN. At this stage we were unable to work our all the glitches with the new system. The so called "Skype phone" does not connect to Skype Show details
Nifty Little Unit – I had been wanting a Skype Phone for quite some time and I found the new Skype RTX 4088 Dual-phone. It is a very useful product. I can call for free through Skype and I can also make land line calls with the same device. It's very easy to use and it is incredibly useful. You just plug it into your router and you are good to go. Great sound quality… Read more · 6
through the Skype calls and landline calls.
Additionally you don't need a PC to dial out and to receive calls.
A good bonus was that I got 45 minutes free Skype credit with my purchase. Convenient, price effective, useful
