Running Bare

Used to love this brand, but the last pair of tights I purchased were extremely poor quality. The stitching started fraying after only 3 wears, the fabric quality is awful, the tights fall down despite them being the correct size and you can’t leave an honest product review on their website. Will never purchase from them again.
I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I recently ordered three tees online, all the same size. When I received them, I found that they vary in size by about two inches. When I contacted customer service to see if I could return them as they are clearly faulty, they tell me that "there are no issues with our products and sizing of our tee shirts". Interesting, because my photo says different. I will never buy from Running Bare again. I should have read the reviews prior to buying online. Off to Lu Lu Lemon or Lorna Jane I go :)
Poor quality – I’ve been a loyal customer for 15 years, but I will never buy from this brand again. I recently bought three pairs of tights — they are so poor quality, they are unwearable. I actually laughed when I first opened the package. I know quality has been declining across many brands, but I honestly couldn’t believe how terrible these Running Bare items were.
The leggings have become thin and flimsy. The waist band rolls down, and cuts into your belly. The tights have to stretch so far, they become sheer. And they don’t hold anything in place. I look and feel awful in their tights.
For the tights I bought, I could not get them over my hips. They are ridiculously small. I always buy a size 12 in Running Bare, but these tights were several centimetres smaller (I’m talking 10cm smaller) than usual. The size guide says a 12 should fit a 75cm waist. I have a 72cm waist and these tights do not even fit my thighs, let alone my hips and waist. Their customer service says this is not their fault (even though one pair is 60cm across — how do you comfortably fit a 75cm waist into 60cm of fabric???). When I put them on, I have to stretch them that far that they then become totally sheer.
Imagine paying $100 for the privilege to wear tights that dig into your belly painfully AND show your underwear to the world? This is not a compression fabric issue, I like the support compression provides. This is simple garbage design and manufacturing.
I contacted Running Bare to explain my fit and quality issue and they believe: “this is honestly the first time we’ve encountered a situation as you’ve described.”
So, as a warning, not only will you be disappointed in Running Bare’s tights, they will fob off your concerns. Avoid this brand.
Have been a customer for over a decade, in slow decline – I have been a customer for over a decade and loved Running Bare for their quality, size range and unique prints. My very first pair of leggings had butterflies on them and they used to have so many unique prints that were just gorgeous. Their products are well made and good quality. Over time they have just became mainstream and it’s been a long time since they I’ve seen a truly unique print. Now their service is also gone too. The last three orders I have made have been partially refunded as they don’t actually have the stock they let me order online Pretty basic requirement to provide the products you said you had in stock. After 3 orders having this issue in a row, I’m done. I try to support Australian companies, but I should not have to put up with consistently bad service.
