I have now used this airfryer for over three months and delighted with the ease of cleaning and operation. The controls are so easy to use and it takes no more than a minute to work out hows this air fryer works. Having previously had two Ninja Foodi Multi Cookers over the past eighteen years, it is a joy to have a large tray and space to air fry more items at the same time. Just one issue, be aware that the the lid is very hot after use.
Highly recommend this unit - a reasonable price, easy to use and does all it says.
The Russell Hobbs consumer affairs department in Australia have clarified that a new cooking pan can be purchased directly through them - which gives one peace of mind knowing, if required, that a replacement pan is available in Australia.

It was a toss up between the Russell Hobbs Satisfry and Ninja’s Foodi air fryer and grill. Two things finally steered me to the Satisfry, weight and price. The Ninja was just too big and heavy and was considerably more expensive. I live alone, so why would I need a big air fryer? Because I regularly cook in bulk and freeze meals. The Satisfry will take 9 to 10 chicken drumsticks or up to 8 large rissoles. It also doubles as a slow cooker, although I haven’t used that function yet. For small meals, I have a 3L Healthy Choice air fryer which I will review separately.
The Satisfry is a smart looking machine with a top raising lid and two elements, top and bottom. The controls are easy to use and it fits quite neatly on on my bench, although the lift up lid means it can’t go under a cupboard. The pan is a generous size and it comes with sturdy plate for grilling but not with an insert to keep food off the bottom of the pan.
It is whisper quiet (my old air fryer sounded like a hair dryer on the high setting). It is very easy to clean (Yes!). But it has a ridiculously short power cord meaning an extension cord was needed to reach the outlet.
On first use I was keen to see if it passed the frozen chip test, and it performed well, the chips were crisp and golden brown, but not without some effort on my part. You can’t shake the pan as it sits inside the base of the unit so you have to keep flipping the chips around with a spatula. and unlike other air fryers I have owned, the exterior of the Satisfry gets very hot so lifting the lid has to be done with care.
Using the grill plate produced crispy pork chops with genuine grill marks, but the top element doesn’t seem to do much in the way of browning, so the chops had to be turned regularly. So what's the verdict. I Love the size and the design, but it has some flaws. I am only short so have to reach up high to lift the lid fully and have already sustained a minor burn while doing this. I don’t like having to use an extension cord. The top element doesn’t seem to generate much heat and I am wondering if it is faulty. The bottom element has some hot spots so you need to keep moving the food around while cooking. The non-stick pan is already showing some faint scratches despite my care in cleaning it and Russell Hobbs don’t stock a replacement. I did find one on Amazon for around $A45.00.
Despite its flaws I do like the Satisfry and I am keen to explore all its functions, particularly the slow cook option.
Update 15/4/25 - since posting this review I have used the slow cook function with great success. A chicken casserole took 3 hours on the high setting and turned out beautifully, with both chicken and vegetables well cooked, but not mushy.
Russell Hobbs Satisfry Air & Grill Multicooker 5.5L Model No. RHMCAF40 Purchased online from Harris Scarfe 17/11/24. On sale price $159.00
Great product – We absolutely love our Multicooker. So much so my mum and her friend have also purchased one too. We use it for all the usual Airfryer specialties (frozen chips, spring rolls, pies etc) but the beauty of this machine is that we can use it to roast our veges, pan fry our chicken, create chicken vege fajita fillings or tuna & wedges! Our only concern is not being able to buy replacement trays for it. We followed the recommended cleaning instructions and it’s still deteriorating quicker than I would have hoped. Apart from this I’d highly recommend this product.

Love it but has a fault – Love this product. I was never an airfryer fan however I absolutely love this. I make pasta's and rice dishes, breakfast fry up, reheating. You can cook the casserole in the pan so there's less cleaning up. An example of a regular dish I cook in it is a rice dish that I cook bacon and onion for a few minutes with lid down, then add a can of tomatoes, spic, stock and uncooked rice. Cook for 25 minutes and dinner is served. I probably don't use all the functions because I need some more tutorials (there's not a lot online at the moment) but slow cooking will be my next try. I took a star off because I have only had this product for 6 weeks and already the non-stick pan has scratches despite following cleaning instructions. Yes I can return it but I only need a replacement pan and it's so wasteful to return the whole thing. I know the pan will need replacing eventually for wear and tear but there's not even an option to buy a replacement pan. That's big thumbs down for me. It's such a pity because it really is the best appliance for cooking that I've ever had. I don't even use my oven or griller anymore. I am gutted this pan has already started to fail because I just love this product. If they can get this right I would be giving 5 stars+
Purchased in at Target Australia for $239.20.
Thank you. I will do that.

Very easy to use – A really stylish appliance that looks great in the kitchen (matched our copper accents perfectly). A hinged lid which I love, no extra lid to store or having to place a lid on the bench like other multi cookers. As an air fryer it’s perfect, easy to use, once you get the hang of the digital controls (took about 10 minutes)and cooks to crispy perfection. Not only that but you can also bake, grill, sear, slow cook, roast, use the keep warm function which is so handy - you can make dinner in the afternoon and it will be ready and waiting. I love that you use no oil and the cooking pot is dishwasher safe for easy clean up. The 5.5 litre capacity is great for our large family too. I also love that you can easily lift up the lid during cooking to check the food or turn it over and it will stop then start again. I have replaced our old air fryer, this one is so much better and I have delegated our other (more expensive) multicooker to the pantry. I would highly recommend,it’s my favourite appliance Oh and it’s really quiet too and doesn’t push as much heat out into the room as other air fryers we’ve used. Definitely worth the money. 26th dec - a quick update,I used this for the roast pork for Christmas dinner, perfection! Posting a photo
