We looked around and asked for Matthew Fraser who was recommended to us. He was very polite, informative and professional. It is refreshing to finally deal with someone that truly cares about customer service. We will definitely be collecting keys for our Mazda from Ryde soon. Show details

IN SHORT: Avoid this dealer! When there's a problem they are obligated to resolve, they will do it the cheapest and fastest way! Then it is YOUR problem and not theirs! DETAILs: I visited Ryde Automotive to look at a few 2024 KIA Ceratos they had in stock. All the cars I saw were in great condition with no visible damage at all but just… Read more

different mileage. The salesperson told me there was another one with the lowest mileage (under 3,000 km), although it wasn’t available for viewing. I was ASSURED the car is in the same condition as all the other ones, so I decided to buy that.

When I picked up the car, there were a couple of clear, thick scratches (few inches long) on the front bumper. The salesperson said he hadn’t seen them earlier and promised that could be fixed easily because they are on the bumper instead of on the body.

Unfortunately, when my son brought the car back for the repair, the job was done POORLY. The touch up looked messy, and with lot of small bumps. I would have done a better job myself! We were told it wasn’t finished yet and needed to dry before sanding (sanding?), so he was asked to return a few days later.

I went back with my son a few days later, we were told the sanding was actually been done previously (What?). The manager stepped in, but obviously there wasn’t much willingness to resolve the issue. The colour match was also noticeably off, almost yellowish compared to the car’s white paint. The explanation given was that white is “hard to match” and we were told that even if they try to fix it again, the result would likely be the same.

Overall, the experience left me very disappointed. The initial reassurance didn’t match the final outcome, and the after‑sales support felt minimal once payment was made.

If anyone wants more details, feel free to reach out.

Appalling Service and Misleading Add-Ons – Beware of Ryde Automotive Group Mazda You only realise the true value of a dealership after you’ve signed the papers—when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, Ryde Automotive Group Mazda at West Ryde disappears the moment you need support. I purchased a brand-new, top-of-the-range Mazda CX-5 from this… Read more

dealership. During the sale, they were extremely enthusiastic about upselling a 3-year mechanical protection plan (beyond the manufacturer’s warranty) and convincing me to purchase ceramic coating with a so-called national lifetime warranty. As a customer, I genuinely believed that buying these extras from an authorised Mazda dealer meant peace of mind.

How wrong I was.

After several years, the roof developed tiny black spots. I contacted the dealership to have this rectified under the ceramic coating warranty. Three months passed without a single call back.

During my scheduled service, I again raised the issue and was told the manager would call—unsurprisingly, he didn’t. When I went to collect my car, the manager finally came out, only to give me a condescending lecture about his “20 years in the industry.” He then proceeded to blame everything from tree leaves to how I might have parked the car, completely ignoring the fact that the warranty document specifically states not to use waxes or polish, yet he insisted I should “polish the car.”

It was painfully clear he was more interested in deflecting responsibility than helping a customer. His excuses were not only inconsistent but insulting to my intelligence.

In the end, he washed his hands of it entirely, saying it had “nothing to do with Ryde Mazda,” despite the fact that Ryde Mazda was the one who sold me the product at the time of purchase. I have now discovered that PROTECH Vehicle Protection, the company behind the ceramic coating, is no longer working with Ryde Mazda—and is reportedly no longer operating.

So what exactly did I pay for? The answer is simple: nothing of value.

This dealership willingly sells add-on products that they cannot support and refuses to take accountability when customers seek help. It feels like a shameless money-grab with no regard for Mazda’s reputation or for basic customer service.

Mazda Australia should seriously audit the practices of this dealership, because customers are being misled into purchasing products that are meaningless the moment something goes wrong.

My advice: stay far away from Ryde Automotive Group Mazda. The sales talk is smooth, but when you need them, they vanish—and you’ll be left with empty warranties, excuses, and a manager who thinks experience is an excuse for poor behaviour.

Absolutely appalled by the service at this Mazda dealership. I took my car in for a simple tyre pressure valve replacement and was charged a ridiculous $380 for something that’s easily available online for $20. To make things worse, I also had an issue with the fuse for the cigarette lighter, and they quoted me an outrageous $220 to replace a fuse… Read more

that costs less than a dollar.

The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and offered no real help. Instead of assisting, they blamed me for using third-party chargers — which is just an excuse to avoid responsibility.

What’s even more frustrating is that it took over a month just to get this appointment. Initially, I was told they would replace the tyre valve when I brought the car in for service. But after I waited, they admitted to ordering the wrong part, and I had to wait another month for a new booking. During this time, I had to drive around with the spare tyre.

How does a certified Mazda service centre not even know which parts go into their own vehicles?

This entire experience has been ridiculous and completely unacceptable. I've been a loyal Mazda customer — bought two cars, one for myself and one for my wife, and always returned for servicing. I even came in today thinking about upgrading and buying a new Mazda, but thank God I got a reality check before making another mistake.

Given this appalling aftersales service, I will never return. In fact, both my Mazda vehicles are now being prepared for sale — I want nothing more to do with this dealership. Deeply disappointed.

Received my fantastic new MX-5 last week. Had an excellent experience with the delivery coordinator, Katie, who made the pickup procedure so easy. A very friendly bunch of people working at Ryde Mazda.

Excellent, friendly and professional – West Ryde Mazda is an excellent car dealership. Everyone there was very helpful. The sales consultant Ted Zhang was most helpful without being pushy like some car sales people are, he was very professional and provided the information on Mazda 2 I was interested in accurately and quickly. He went above and beyond to agree to deliver the vehicle to… Read more

Disappointing – I left my Mazda2 at Ryde Mazda's service centre for its 1 year service at 9.15am. The shuttle service no longer goes to West Ryde (a kilometre from my home) so I was dropped off at Top Ryde which required me to catch a bus to West Ryde and walk a kilometre home. To add insult to injury, I had to wait 90 minutes for the shuttle. At age 78 I am not as energetic as I once was. Most disappointing! Show details

Very comfortable Experience ! – We recently visited Ryde Mazda on a Sunday in FEB24 searching for a CX5. navigator. Chris Tan, Business Manager, offered fabulous advice and facilitated my comprehensive insurance. There was no hard sell. Katie, Delivery Coordinator went above and beyond to assist with de-registering my old car and registering the new car. Nothing was too much trouble, and she did it all with a lovely smile and cheerful manner. I can't recommend the whole team highly enough!

disgusted – I wanted to trade a ford focus RS on a new mazda. They had a car like mine only a year older and in less condition for $25,000 but would only give me less than $10,000 for mine
