Easy to use lawn trimmer! – Very easy to use and lightweight trimmer. Just click the battery on and and away you go. Battery runs close to an hour so you have plenty of time to do your job. All straight forward from angle to changing lines. Good value for money. Show details

Good machine, but fit a bigger battery for a beast – I fitted a DeWalt 1.8v XR flex 54v battery, via an eBay attachment. I now have a Strimmer that lasts 45 minutes of constant work. With a heavier duty trimmer cord, it's a beast and will knock down bramble and bramble. I'm now on my 5th year with this and it's showing no signs of stopping. I highly recommend this machine, but do fit a heavy duty battery if you want something that lasts. Show details

Does everything expected of it – Bought from Bunnings March 2022 to replace a tempremental 2 stroke. Use the new one as a whipper snipper for long grass and edging the lawn( as the head swivels) and does ok but for bigger jobs I would suggest a 36v one. Great not having to struggle to start a 2 stroke motor or drag a long extension cord behind. Also use it with a bigger 5.0 AH… Read more

battery for longer battery life which also powers the hedge trimmer and blower/vac. Easy to wind new line back onto the spool rather than buying pre-wound ones, althought I use 2mm line with a reinforced core Powerfit from Bunnings. If you use ordinary cheap line it will constantly break and cause heaps of fustration. Easy to clean after each use with old kitchen dishwashing brush and water ready for next time.

Excellent, light and works very well – I bought my first Ryobi product 13 years ago which is still working perfectly. I bought this cordless line trimmer a few years ago after owning an electric and petrol version. This Ryobi is light and initially did not work well until I figured out you need to use the 4 Amp battery and 2mm line. It will work with the 1.2mm blue line and smaller… Read more

battery however cuts thicker grass a lot better with the 4Amp/2mm combo.

My petrol trimmer was noisy, leaked fuel and is heavy. This trimmer packs a punch for such a small machine. I have never had any issues with the motor and love the way you can rotate the trimmer head. I have bought a number of other Ryobi garden products since and very happy with them.

This Ryobi is well worth buying. No regrets.

Auto feed and ease of line replacement are the winners here – I've had many whipper snippers in my time, and this has to be one of the best I've owned. The two standouts for me are the simple auto feed - it just works, and works very well (each time you release the power and the spool stops, it adds around 1cm of line length. I've had the trimmer for over a year now and have just had to replace the line… Read more

spool. I use to dread this in my old trimmers, but this one took all of 2 minutes to change over - stress free - amazing in fact. It's good for medium duty gardening. It's light, well constructed, and well balanced. I use this in conjunction with my Ryobi edger and blower - a great threesome. I'm giving this Ryobi product 9/10 for ease of use and cost of ownership.

Didnt last very long due to plastic components in the head melting and warping – Bought at Bunnings Was looking for something I could handle easily, at fisrt, Started at the bottom of the range and by the time I had bought the top of the range (3 upgrades) none of them lasted very long due to plastic components in the head melting and warping. Now looking for something more lasting. Show details
