I bought the product just under 6 years ago and did the inline warranty went back to where I purchased it from this week because it was faulty my receipt was faded so that was void so ryobi would not replace the item so disappointed I think I will be replacing all my tools with another brand as I was informed that Ryobi would faulty items with no issues this is not true Show details
Makes Spraying a breeze – I bought this to spray weeds and also spray my garden from pests etc. Easy to use, quick and efficient althought I find it's abit heavy when full. Highly recommended. Show details
Awesome – Ive had mine for a couple of years now, its never given any troubleand is a great timesaver over the hand pump 1 i used to have. Easy on batteries too, with a 5ah battery it uses about 1/4 of the battery to 60 litres of spray.
Pretty good sprayer but some niggly issues – I had been using a Solo 15l manual sprayer for over 20 years but it decided not to hold pressure (most likely O rings) and I will look at it later. So after checking on reviews I purchased a 15l 18v Ryobi backpack sprayer. I also purchased two 6.0 ah batteries as already had a charger. We've had a lot of rain for months and haven't used a sprayer… Read more · 3
for a while and found when filled, the sprayer is quit heavy. I'll get used to it :) The rotating knob for power on the side is easily reachable when the sprayer is on your back. I used it on low which is just above turning it on but the constant whine from the pump is distracting. Turning the knob to increase the power/spray force gets to a point where the whine/tone turns off unless building up pressure. Personally, I think a set of headphones and listening to a podcast or music does the trick. As others have mentioned, the fact that the intake for the pump sits higher than the bottom of the tank is annoying as you can't completely utilise the volume of the tank. I find the straps are not the most comfortable and could be improved. I have some very comfortable Husqvarna backpack straps that I will try and fit. As the pump has a minimum pressure, it does not have the finesse and controllable spray of a manual sprayer but for large areas it is spot on. One annoying feature is how awkward it is to properly locate the screw cap after filling. I never had this issue on the Solo, I found that pushing it down until it clicks then rotating it firm seems to work. Even tried a silicone spray on it but it had no effect. I'm not sure I'd recommend this sprayer for small backyards etc as it would be overkill (there is a smaller version) but for larger areas either as a liquid fertiliser or herbicide sprayer it meets expectations. One bonus is 4 year standard replacement warranty increasing to 6 years if registering online within 30 days of purchase. You will need to create an account with Ryobi before being able to register your product. Don't forget to photo or scan your invoice in case you need it later on... Note also that there is a grey form in the box that needs to be filled out ready and kept in case of warranty repair and presented along with proof of purchase.
Sort of Good – I use lots of Battery sprayers and thought this felt good. good straps and build. But I agree the filter pick up is not good enough. Also the very worst thing is the pick up tube doesn't come out flat on the bottom of the tank, it goes up then bends down, this causes air to suck up and you can;t get the last few litres . It should have a lower… Read more
part in the bottom of tank to help get the last few litres. Lacking some design thought. So as a commercial user I haven't brought another one.
Ryobi Backpack 15L sprayer – I have similar backpack sprayer with pump action which the leaver always fell off and dripped on my hand under pressure. I have 900sqm area the Ryobi was excellent worked better then hoped. Very easy to put together and spraying was quick and easy for $240 Australian dollars if you have other ryobi one+ power tools and looking for sprayer it is a no brainer, spend the money and get a great product. Great pressure but bad quality wand with no real filtration – Replaced small ryobi sprayer with this unit. Much better pressure, not sure its the claimed 90psi but it a LOT better than their other options. There is a very bad quality wand with propriety sized fittings on so it cant be replaced The pack also has rudimentary filtering, which results in the spray head getting constantly clogged, which is great… Read more · 1
for getting round up or other chemicals all over your gloves and hands (sic). When it works it works great!
