Ryobi 18V One+ 18L Wet & Dry R18WDV-0 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: R18WDV-0Our vac isn't turning on. Batteries are charged and working well on other Ryobi products. What do you suggest?
Is a carpet tool available for the R18WDV?
Unfortunately Graeme no, this vacuum is not designed for carpet cleaning, if you do wish to use it as a wet area there is a procedure you have to follow, I think from memory you are to remove the internal bag.
Thank you for this advice. I thought as much.
Is this useful for a car that always gets a lot of sand inside it.
It’s not as powerful as one of those massive vacuums at the car wash but it’s much better than those little handheld suckers. I use it to remove dust and sand from my car and I have no complaints
I basically purchased one of these for a similar reason and I’m very happy with the machine it’s got great vacuum power, I’m sure you will not be disappointed.
How do you use the vac as a wet vac. Do I change the filter and remove the bag?
Yep, you’ve got it. Say, for example, you’ve used water and shampoo to clean a carpet, or, you just want to vacuum up a coolant spill, just remove the bag and the filter and go for it - as I recall there is alternate cover for where the filter goes but I have lost this and don’t use it - works fine anyway
Yes exactly as Psy-Chic explained, and yes there is a cover when you remove the filter.
I cant find the replacement bags on the Bunnings website. Is there a proper fit replacement bag.
Hi Jan J I have also looked into this replacement part, the only thing I found is a kit that Ryobi make an accessory kit : IN 0134381 Aisle 14 in Bunnings otherwise if you still have what remains of the original bag I would suggest taking it into the special orders desk in Bunnings. Second option is maybe eBay as there are replacement bags available on there you will just need your model number of your machine. Hope this helps.
