Great machine – It is small Good drill I've had bought for home handyman job. Powerful Excellent torque, very easy to use, batteries last extremely well and charge quickly. Can't kill batteries like older types. It is not a professional tool coz not powerful enough for commercial matter. I recommend for home work  Show details

Great Drill - Love how versatile it is – Has been a handy tool. I am a tradesman and I can appreciate Makita and other top brands, but for a ‘home’ tool, it works well. Batteries are great being interchangeable and the colour makes it easy to spot. Good bargains at Bunnings too when you buy a kit, so I have managed to get an extra one free almost in a kit  Show details

Great System - But watch out for 2014 Chargers – I <3 my Ryobi system, i have bought a number of add-ons for it that i thought could not be effective, and they were. I have replaced my petrol whipper-snipper and chainsaw with the Ryobi ones. However this is one thing you should be aware of. The Charger which was released in 2014 as part of this set and the drill set is prone to breaking. If… Read more

you take it back to Bunnings they will replace it straight away no questions asked. When i asked why they said it is because Ryobi should have done a recall for it but it was deemed too big a job so they just replace as they go.

The sign for a broken charger is a weak Red Light when you attempt to charge a battery.

Great to start with then they die – Thought this was a good buy until it died out of warranty, first the fast charger then the drill, one month after warranty. They are quite a solid unit with gd batteries, unfortunately they really are just for occasional use, putting in wall plugs etc, I have five other Ryobi one+ tools but are changing over to Bosch blue, if you never intend to… Read more

do anything but light work with these tools you'll be ok (I knew this when buying) however dying after two yrs is poor

AMAZING! – the only problem..... buying new attachments is addictive. I got the drill kit first.... then the grinder.... then the rattle gun.... then the multi tool... then the fan..... then more batteries..... dying for the new LED flood light..... stop it ryobi, you are sending me broke!!! Honestly this stuff is great!

As good as my Makita, and a fraction of the price – Bought this as a standby unit, but reckon it is as good as my $1200 Makita kit. The batteries are great, and all the attachments, including the circular saw work well. The drill works tirelessly, and the multitool is fantastic. I am very happy with this product. Godd Value nothing

Few irritants but powerful otherwise a 4 star – Purchased the drill, charger, & two batteries (1.5 & 4.0 Ahr 18V lithium) in canvas style carry bag. There is something odd about the keyless chuck, which really irritates when you have to change drill bit sizes frequently. In short you need to exercise greater than normal care for the chuck to center on the bit & grip properly. I frequently… Read more

found the drill bit half gripped off centre until I began to spend more time "taking care".

The drill is gripped properly I discovered only when you hand tighten with the clutch set to "drill". If you forget & its on a mid range torque setting your drill will slip. My borrowed Bosch (almost identical) does not have these "features"

The Ryobi is heavier than the Bosch with similar size battery & much heavier with the 4.0 Ahr battery fitted. In fact, whilst the 4.0 Ahr battery may be very useful on high current demand cordless tools it's inappropriate on the drill driver due to the excess weight.

The Ryobi features a level indicating bubble which is totally useless because it's very inaccurate & extremely slow to centre, trust me you will never even look at it!

The driver bit that came as standard was burred & slipping on Phillips head 8 gauge screws within half an hour of use.

In most other respects the Ryobi does pretty much what you would expect & I dare say its very similar to other decent quality DIY tools. I have not yet used in high torque drilling (augering for example) or driving large screws into harder timber but I'd expect that with sharp drills & quality driver bits the RYobi would not disappoint.

Summary: I am a Ryobi fan & have several very old corder Ryobi tools that have lasted exceptionally well.

I am a bit disappointed with my new tool, I would not recommend to a friend & I wish I'd bought the Bosch & disregarded the illusion that the 4.0 Ahr battery was somehow a bonus.

. It does the job Somer significant design irritants

Convenient for IKEA furniture and simple DIY around the house – This is a small, compact and convenient drill. You will need to purchase a good set of drill bits and screwdriver tips. As always, the tips are just as important and can make the difference between stripping screws or not. Adjustable torque, chuckless and therefore easy to swap bits. Not quite powerful enough to drill through hard metal,… Read more ·  1

this is no builder's drill. However, for the DIY around the house, driving screws into IKEA furniture and wood it suits it's purpose very well.

The charger is heavy. But charges fast. The batteres are interchangeable with other 18V products in the RYOBI ONE+ system. It works. Great for home DIY, wood and driving screws into furniture. Not a powerful or professional drill. Priced right though..

Excellent drill – Best drill of any type I've had over many years as home handyman. Excellent torque, very easy to use, batteries last extremely well and charge quickly. Can't kill batteries like older types. Easy to use, lightweight, batteries exceptional, torque superb. Can't fault a thing.
