Water pistol? – Not sure if it's a water pistol or sprayer/mister, appears to spray well when there's 500mm left in tank. Moving it around too much during use causes intermittent squirting which is annoying. If this product was cheap to buy that would be acceptable however it's not cheap so I expect it do do what I paid for it to do, spray not squirt. Returning for refund.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse Retail Stores for $179.

Flawed Design – I purchased this a few weeks ago. The first time I used it, it squirted out a stream of water before eventully (and intermittently) misting. Second time I used it, it sent out a weak stream of water but no mist. Both times, the cap O-ring was clean and correclty seated and the cap screwed on tight. Given the number of negative reviews about this mister which all describe the same fault, clearly it is a design flaw and Ryobi should recall the product.

Purchased in for $299.

Excellent fogger sprayer for pests – We live in an area that can be plagued by mosquito's from time to time making outdoor eating etc. a bit difficult. We normally use pressure pak fogger sprays and burning coils, but we heard about this fogger and purchased one - we also used the liquid pyrethrum concentrate from our local Bunnings store (best product at reasonable price) - its easy to mix in the large mixing tank and very easy to spray around the yard - spray all the trees and fruit trees etc. I have seen reviewers say the spray is not like a fog and more like a jet spray, but I found if you hold the unit slightly down at the rear when spraying that it actually works well - the range of spray is about 3-5 metres. Have used it a few times and sprayed the area around our outdoor eating area and it kept the mossies' at bay - I would suggest that you use a battery of at least 2.5 amp but I use a 5 amp battery which more than last a full tank of spray liquid. Pleasantly surprised how easy this machine is to use and it seems to work very well in keeping the mossies' down - recommend it!

Pros: Well constructed Part of the Ryobi one series - uses same batteries Not too heavy to handle - has strap which helps distribute the load Can use variety of spray liquids (mist spray mask recommended for some) Relatively inexpensive for what it is Cons: Not a big deal but 2.5 amp minimum battery is recommended for full tankful of spray, battery life could be issue for small capacity batteries Some may think that it more spray than fog but still seems to work fine - deters the mossies'

Purchased at Bunnings Warehouse.
