This is a shocker – Unable to get replacment parts 3 years after purchasing this unit. Required new battery and charger and Bunnings, while trying their best were unable to assist. As I had heart problems the battery start seamed like a good option. I have never purchased another Ryobi product since as this experience was not at all in the interest of customer service or good product service. Hence Ryobi gone.....They made better fishing reels in 1970! Show details
Ryobi 30cc 2 Stroke Curved Shaft RLT – I though this would be a good buy. It was on special and had the capacity to connect multible attachments. I had problems with the battery, but it wasn't a major issue using the chord to start. I would not buy this brand again. The drive shaft broke after 3 years of light use. I thought this would be an easy repair, unfortunately, the only ryobi service centre on the gold coast will not repair this product. Show details
Ryobi give up!!! $269 for Chinese crap! – Worked only just the first time, battery failed the second time, clutch slipped the third time, like their blower you would do better with a straw and a pair of scissors then waste good hearty $AU's on yet another piece of junk from Bunnings, 3 hours to get a refund goes with the 3 hours use it never seen. What a joke, in fact every item I have… Read more
bought in the last ten years is some plastic contraption from China with no import tax applied because we have a corrupt third world government that sucks any nation just to get their mongoloid handicapped lazy eyed background nodder swamp donky faces on the tv, can someone in this country make something that actually works!!!
Up yours Ryobi!! Third product you sold me the third faulty product in my tool shed. Only you guy's manage to make the most illogical ill functionable junk in the market.
Have nothing but problems with this model persevered at start with it should off took it back but ou – Had trouble starting it with electric start battery going flat before it would start then used manual pull start which takes a lot off pulling too get it going/ When its running have trouble getting it too rev checked fuel mixture 50:1 all good have too hold choke on then rev it flat out too keep it going works ok when running but when you stop it… Read more
& starting it again is a problem have too use choke even if its warm. Took battery back under warranty as it would not charge enough to get it started then used it a few times 3 - 4 lawn trims over 12 months as lawns where not growing due too drought then it would not turn motor over with battery something wrong with starter assembly out off warranty had to get it repaired as starter gear assembly cover where gear is retained broke off only plastic? Used it a few times after repairing now done same thing debating whether to give up on this or get it repaired again as parts are not as expensive as buying another trimmer? Would not recommend this trimmer only brought this model for electric start convenience as I have bad wrists to be able to use pull start trimmers and noticed ryobi dont sell this model any more probably because off the problems I have had with it? Has anyone else had this problem with this model or did I buy a lemon?
I hate this line trimmer – My electric flymo stopping working and I was excited about upgrading to this. Unfortunately it is a total nightmare. I find it really hard to get it started from cold. I have never been able to start it by following the cold start instructions. Then, I find it painful to hold on to for more than half a minute because there is no cushioning… Read more
from the vibrations. Perhaps it is unreasonable of me to expect pain free trimming. But by far the worst aspect is the line. It breaks so frequently that I have to stop every 30 secs and disassemble the head to pull more line through. The bump feed doesn't work. Trying to get the line all wound up and to stay wound up whilst performing the awkward putting back together of the thing is an exercise in futility. Every time I open it up I see that the line has melted and fused itself to other bits of line. Surely this should not happen? I have still not completed a job.
Very good – Just bought this snipper and I can't fault it :) I looked at the reviews on here before buying it . It's light weight easy too use snipped my whole yard and didn't have too change the cutting thread great buy
nooooooo – This is the worst I have ever used in regards to the 'easy feed' Ha. I have a very large area that I need to use a Line Timmer on and although this is powerful and tough enough to get through some really long hours I cannot understand how the easy feed can be called easy feed. It is cruel on the fingers and hard and miserable work just to use the… Read more
'easy feed' system. I want it gone and will be looking to buy another. Powerful and easy start' The easy feed is a joke of cruel proportions
Terrible – Ryobi should be ashamed of this product and I'm embarrassed that I wasted my money on such a bad choice. It looks nice. Everything. It's 'on-off' switch is so poorly located that I often turn it off inadvertently, it's non-ergonomic design makes using it for more than 5 minutes painful to my hands but it's worst and fatal flaw is the line feed.… Read more
It's a devil to get the line loaded and then it constantly breaks when it hits anything bigger than a Daisy! A really appalling piece of rubbish.
Without doubt the worst brush cutter I have ever owned over the past 40 years. Shame on you Ryobi and Bunnings.
Good – nice and easy to use.....my skills are improving :O)) i just have to come to terms with the line feeder....any suggestions? this is my first trimmer and found it easy to use and start.....thank you Ryobi!!!!! cant come to terms with the cutter head....the cord kept snapping off and wouldnt feed thru by tapping the head on the ground....it… Read more · 2

Good – Overall used it four times and it starts after two or three pulls. It was reasonably priced at $199.00, cannot really fault the product at all. Well done Ryobi Assembly took 10 minutes, tool came in the box to tighten everything Easy to start, The bump feed head works a treat Good weight and easy to use My old attachments fit and work (slasher… Read more
and edger)
The Trimming head came loaded with cord which was a pleasant surprise, I did not The on off switch is easily bumped if you hold the trimmer close to your body. You bump the switch and it turns off, only happens once or twice a session, so no big problem
