Presuming the 36 bolt battery works with other 36 volt Ryobi products, then it's the battery. Either way, if your battery or Hedge trimmer is still under warranty, Bunnings will swap with no problems. Just make sure you have your proof of purchase.

G’day mate, is this the first time it’s happened to you? Mine initially failed to identify the battery, so I removed the battery and recharged it again. It did happen again and was replaced under warranty.

Is yours accepting charge and plugging in ok?

Hi Keithy This the first time it has happened to me . A old mate just gave it to me he cant use it any more because of health reasons . Ive charged the battery up over night and when I attempted to use it on the trimmer it didnt work . Ill give it another try and see if that works .I havent got the receipt for it so I cant take it to bunnings of course lol Thanks for the reply

I don't think they can be removed. If they are blunt, you may be able to just sharpen them. If they are broken/ jammed etc and the Hedger is still under warranty, Bunnings would probably just replace the whole unit

As far as I know, any ryobi 36 volt battery would work in a ryobi 36 volt hedge trimmer. All my Ryobi tools are 18 volt, and all their batteries are interchangeable. Maybe ring your local Bunnings ?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. It’s advertised to fit all the 36v tools on their website.

Just take it back to the store you got it from and the warranty should cover that.

Any of the 36v battery and chargers from Ryobi will fit this!
