Good – I started with an A501, but gre tired with the cheap finish and small screen. For an extra $10 a month from Telstra, I got the A701. I use the Web and watch Foxtel a lot, so the big screen is appreciated. The high speed HSDPA connection this phone allows (up to 1500kp/s) makes it invaluable as a modem for my laptop. The internal keys are very good… Read more

and the camera takes decent shots. While the phone is taller and wider then some to fit the larger screen, it is much thinner, and is very comfortable in a shirt or coat pocket. My only complaint is that the tactile keys don't seem to work. Also, be warned. There are some issues with the included software and Microsoft Vista, but that is not an issue with the phone, rather it is with Micrsoft. Very light, very slim, large keys and screen, great audio quality, excellent for use as a Broadband Modem with a laptop Tactile Keys don't work

Good – Pretty happy with this phone on the whole. It's annoying not having an apostrophe when you're particular about spelling/grammar. The font options are great, can have large colourful numbers/letters. Easy to operate, the interface is quite intuitive, and the phone-to-PC communication is a breeze. The alarm function is a bit eccentric, but I can… Read more

live with it. The battery life is poor if you have bluetooth activated all the time, but turning bluetooth off when you're not using it helps. The camera quality is excellent - some of my shots I have used as wallpaper on the computer, and people have been amazed that they came from a phone. Solid feel, not flimsy, big bright screen, good fonts. Hard to open one-handed, no apostrophe in text messages, short battery life if on bluetooth. Charger not cpmpatible with any other Samsung phone.

Good – It isn't the latest model so doesn't have ALL the latest accessories but has everything you want and need and many bonus features. Very quality phone, which will not easily break and will last for years and not go out of date. This phone is modern, quality, and being flip phone means you won't accidentally dial yourself while its in your pocket,… Read more

and you won't get scratches all over your screen. It has a big screen, easy to click buttons and is very simple to use. It has Bluetooth, camera, video recorder, and access to the internet. The only thing abut this phone is you can't put a memory card in it so it has very little storage space; only enough for about 30 photos which is a little annoying.

Good – Got this phone for my wife as she wanted a flip phone. It has never failed to work, can hear clearly on it and has a good loud ring. She uses the camera a lot and it is a great picture, even when transferred to the computer and blown up. Only complaint would be the battery life, needs to be charged every day and she doesn't make that many calls.… Read more

Fits easily into a pocket or handbag micro sd card is good for music and media player buttons are on the front of the phone so you can use it like an ipod. Overall would recommend it but not if you are a tradesman, it would break too easily. Clear as a bell Short battery life

Terrible – If you need a phone that you can rely on for emergencies and for the simple task of making calls DONT get this one. If you want a phone just for smsing and to take photo's get this one camera takes good pics I cant rely on this phone EVERY call drops out, its embarrassing not to mention expensive. I had a police officer call me and he had to ring… Read more

back 3 times, he thought I was hanging up on him. Telstra have had it back and upgraded software, new sim card and problem is still there, they gave me a loan LG next g phone while mine was being fixed and this dropped out to. So much for "Next G coverage everywhere you need it" what a joke.

Excellent – I chose this phone after issues with an LG flip phone that I persisted with for 2 years. I wanted 3G, something with a reasonable quality camera and something with an inbuilt MP3 player. I've been very happy with it and the large screen has meant that playing Java games on it it easier too than some other models that I've seen. It doesn't… Read more

seem to have the bugs that the A501 has in the firmware. Light, slim, fits in pocket nicely. Buttons are a nice size, as is screen. Great that it has 2 cameras for camera phone use, rather than a rotating camera like the A501. Bland design for a phone with the features - it looks like something you're granny would use. However, it is just a phone, not a fashion accessory.

OK – It COULD have been a great phone, if it wasn't crippled by stupid proprietary bluetooth protocols, and as mentioned before, non-standard headphone connections etc. Try buying a spare charger for it - you won't find one with that shape plug anywhere. The calendar and other PIM functions are pretty basic. The MP3 player is ok, but again is let down… Read more

severely by the poor headphones and non-standard plug. nice screen with good clear fonts - easy to read. The ring tone is louder than the Nokias. The speaker volume is not loud enough, making it unusable in noisy environments. The included handsfree kit does not include a noise cancelling mic, so again, when you are driving [and you have to use the handsfree by law...] the person on the other end can't understand you. The predictive text is nowhere near as good as the Nokia when sending SMSs, and when you are on the net there's lots of extra keypresses to switch between alpha, numeric, symbols etc. You can download the gmail java app onto it and connect ok, but then you don't have any predictive text at all, and there's no small keyboard available for it. Not only that, but they use their own "special" version of bluetooth, so a normal bluetooth keyboard won't work. All this means that typing out even a simple email takes ages and is not practical. Considering Tel$tra are promoting this as their NextG "work anywhere" package, this is just retarded. The included browser doesn't support data encryption so online banking is out. No flash either, although that's less of a surprise, and not such a major point as the others.

Excellent – I love this phone, it's sleek and stylish, has great features and I would definetely consider going with Samsung again. I have always had Nokia phones which I loved because they are all the same in terms of user friendliness but this phone is very similar and easy to use. It's much better than LG's phones which seem to function in their own… Read more

language. My partner wanted to go on a plan so he gave me this new phone while he kept using his old one with the new plan. I love flip phones as I can't stand putting covers on phones. This has one of the best camera's for a mobile phone I have seen. The body is slim and inside screen is nice and large. You can change the camera so you can see yourself while you take your own photo which is pretty cool. the mp3 player is a great addition I use mine at the gym. Comes with a memory card that you can buy more off it needed (it's not samsung specific). Love the smooth black/charcoal finish. Few things I can't work out like how to change the alarm tone (may not be possible)also can't change the message tone to one of my own downloaded tones (could be me though). The alarm is annoying in that you can't specify the days you want it on, the choice is limited to except w/e; except sunday; everyday or once and if they alarm is off when you go in to set it it doesn't save the last time but has the current time so you always have to change it. These are just minor things that I noticed as I had a Nokia before.
