Don’t ever buy this washer. We were well within our warranty and I contacted Samsung numerous times and they blamed us for misuse. I couldn’t believe it. Now my family are stuck with a washer that dumps litres of water on our floor every wash. Show details

Dont purchase this machine there appears to be a design defect in the door seal. We Purchased this machine in June 2022. About 6 months after owning we noticed the little tab at the bottom of the door seal had torn. We could not link it to any… Read more

particular incident we just noticed it as water started leaking. We had to have the drum replaced due to scraping sound in November 2023 through warranty which was prompt and we were happy with the service. As part of this they replaced the seal as it was a package deal with the drum. This time we were super careful with taking items in and out of the machine and with the washing basket near the machine as we didn't want it to tear again. In June 2024 we noticed it was torn again. Around September 2024 we reached out to samsung to get it replaced as it appeared to be a design fault with a very thin silicone tab at the bottom of the machine. Between then and Jan 2025 we sent multiple videos and photos of the issue with the leaking getting worse and worse. The decision from Samsung techs was that it was our fault due to miss use that caused the issue and no one else had complained about it. They would only talk through email or chat and would not call me to discuss despite multiple requests. We have owned front load washing machines for the past 20 years and never had an issue until we brought this model. We have always brought samsung products due to the service they provide and the quailty they have usually been. Since this experience we have had to buy 4k worth of fridges and replace our microwave which were previously samsung we have now brought LG due to the bad taste this experience has caused. We now have to pay $139 for the part and $150 for the labour to get the machine working which now pours litres of water out during every wash.

Follow-up  · What steps did Samsung suggest for preventing the door seal from tearing again?prior to this review Samsung suggested that we be more careful removing items from the washing machine to prevent it from tearing. This amgered me as they passed responsibility on to the user even though this is a step we already took after the first one was damaged. … Read more

Bad product. I won't recommend this. The agitator came off and the tech said it's caused by the myki card which is plastic. Well, jeans are thicker and heavier than myki card but it's not causing the damage. I won't buy Samsung Product Anymore. Maybe TV only. Show details

Washer was alright for a few years. When it initially broke it was the computer panel, which samsung warranties actioned initially in a reasonable time. However, after that repair the machine began rocking a lot during the spin cycle, also began to leak quite a bit out the bottom. Initially they wouldn't send someone out as I couldn't tell where… Read more

the leak was coming from. I'm not a repair technician, which we felt was unfair. However, we monitored the leak over several cycles and could rule out it coming from the filter that Samsung kept asking us to verify wasn't the issue. After several more phone calls they sent out a technician who determined the leak was from the soap loader (not sure the exact part term), and the water was leaking down through the whole machine out the bottom. We were told a part would be ordered and the technician would contact us in a few days. Heard nothing back for sometime, so we contacted Samsung again. Well months of phone calls back and forth, different agents taking on the case via email, phone, different statements and opinions. Eventually they determined a refund for the washer as a whole was the route. We accepted. However, then a different department needed all the information again and we had to wait for them to get back to us. Then they sent us an online form to fill in to authorise pick up and repayment. We filled it in. We were told they made an error on the form on their end, we had to fill it in again. Then they didn't like my banking information despite it being the same information from purchase and screenshot of my account from my phone. Then that wasn't good enough, they wanted a proper bank statement, which I'm unclear why this level of information was needed over a literal screenshot of my banking app with name and account numbers. So now I have to add in my personal statement. In less than 7 days, we've had to redo the online acceptance form 4 times, all from Samsungs end. We still don't have any clarity on a pick up or repayment date, and in the meantime are taking our laundry to laundromats further sinking our time and money into a warrantied item. This has been a horrible, time consuming and frustrating experience dealing with Samsung. I would highly recommend considering other options, and if purchasing their product, remember, extended warranties are usually a waste of money as Australian Consumer Rights covers reasonable life expectancy of a product regardless of warranty provided by manufacturer, worth checking out if considering an extended warranty purchase.

2nd time it's broken down in 18 months – So as stated this is the second time this machine has broken down in less than 18 months, for the same issue mind you. The first time I got it repaired. It's a month this week that I have been without a washing machine. As a family of 5 and being on a disability pension for MS, this is more than infuriating. This issue is they dont have a… Read more

replacement machine and refuse to refund. They only repair so they can limp thier way through my warranty period and then whrn warranty is up, i will have to start paying for repairs myself in another 9months. Basically the bearings/motor keep failing and putting rust through the machine and staining garments which then I have to throughout.

I really stress to people please BEWARE OF SAMSUNG PRODUCTS. I personally will never by one again. I purchased this machine last year from JB HI-FI. They even refused to accept my online purchase receipt and my invoice as proof of purchase as it didn't have $0 balance remaining on the receipts. Don't get stuck in my position with a $1k rust bucket.

I'm pretty happy with it – This is my first ever front loader, and it was a birthday present. I was impressed by how little detergent and water it uses! I love how easy it is to use, I love all the options available to me, and I love how it sings at the end of its cycle. Happy little washing machine. It's so cool that my son can text me when I'm at work, tell me he doesn't… Read more ·  1

know which cycle to use for his clothes, and I can select the cycle on my phone and send it for him to press start. Brilliant. Oh.. and if I forget something (which happens too many times), I can just open the front hatch and shove it in. Lovely.

Some problems: - I have bumped the power switch with my backside too many times... this turns the washing machine off and it has to be restarted, with a fresh lot of detergent and everything. Turning the child lock on does not fix this problem. Annoying, and expensive at a time when I can barely afford to eat. - It has become noisy during some spin cycles. I hope it isn't breaking! It's still quite new! - I was able to wash my clothes in cold water for about a year, but now it has developed a smell that I just can't get rid of. I'm having to wash all my clothes in 40C water so they don't stink. That can't be right.

Failed after 3 months – Failed after 3 months. Told replacement part was dispatched, then told part wasn't available. Offered refund or replacement, but then no replacement is available, so we would be refunded. 5 weeks later we are $1500 out of pocket after having to buy another machine and can't get a response from Samsung to find out where our refund is. Show details

NO SUPPORT during warranty period - BUY THIS MACHINE AT YOUR OWN RISK! – bought this washing machine in Aug 2022; by Nov 2022, it has started leaking, due to a minor damage on the front seal. I contacted Samsung support, was given a service request number, waited for 2 days expecting Samsung support would contact me. No such service! Ii called Samsung support line again to follow up on the provided service request… Read more

number. I was told that L3 support has deemed that it is not a manufacturer defect (a bad quality silicon seal is not a defect!) and i will have to contact a 3rd party repairer at my own cost. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY SAMSUNG. I am now having to buy a seal and fix it myself.

Expect More From Product and Service – Machine stopped working (drainage issue) after 8 months. Family of 6. No service for 1.5 weeks, under warranty. Not good enough from such a top manufacturer. Have been very happy with Samsung products but in this instance, very disappointed. Show details

Worst washing machine I have ever had! – Has a continuous drainage problem and every time I clean the lint filter water pores onto my floor boards and they say this is normal?????
