Shading on Samsung TV – I purchased a UA65BU8000WXXY model Samsung TV in June 2020 after having excellent past experiences with Samsung TVs. It performed well in this period however in the last 12 months has developed areas of grey shading on the screen which seem to be getting larger and darker by the day. After researching the internet this seems to be common problem… Read more
with the backlighting on this model of Samsung. I realise that the TV is over 4 years old however I expected a longer life. The only alternative I seem to have is to engage a TV technician (not worth the cost) or purchase a new TV which will certainly will not be another Samsung.
TV picture disappears despite only being 18months old – Only had tv 18 months and picture just randomly disappears and leaves blurred colours. This is now happening more frequently. Samsung provided technical support over the phone but it has not helped.
Samsung – What can I say it’s sluggish it doesn’t receive channel 10 every time I set a set top box it’s got issues with fetch tv that’s why now I’ve got Foxtel Samsung is says there’s nothing wrong with the tv honestly your better off getting Hisense but even those got some crap wrong with them

Pretty good picture but average sound – Has used for two years from 2021, it is excellent. This TV has some issue with the sound so I try to connect the optical output to my home theater. The optical cable bought is not compatible. Because of this TV, I have to upgrade my mobile phone to Samsung to use smart view. Show details · 1

Remote doesn't work - good staff though – The remote just stopped working Everything I change the battery it works for a few minutes then just back to a frustration level not seen since the All Blacks Haka got walked up on by those croissant eating French. However, I must say Max Ashton, not sure of his position but pretty sure he's exec level, was unbelievable in helping me out. He… Read more

V poor samsung warranty and delay tactics – Our UA65BU8000W stopped working in a few months. The screen went black and had a faint blue light could bee seen. I called Samsung customer care as was told by the seller Retravision. Well never in my life have I had some one with poor English skills keep talking over me when I tried to spell out the words as requested!!!!!! The frustration got so… Read more
much I had to hang up after 10 min of this! I went to the business tv repairer behind Retravision (as I was told by Retravision) to see if they could help. They said send it to them and they after getting the tv had issues with Samsung as they did not reply to 4 emails requests under warranty. Right under ACCC law I went back to Retravision and told them to sort it out. Finally Retravision told Samsung to fix it with more emails and now got an order for repair. Fingers crossed it becomes so. Samsung customer care is worthless after 2 months of this frustrating delay. Their people even keep emailing me for proof of purchase and I have sent them my receipt. I even told them talk to Retravision for a copy of receipt. They even left voice messages on my mobile phone I could not understand!!!!!

Basic Tv with a few niggles – The tv is your run if the mill average set. Picture has a little clouding in dark scenes, colours are overly saturated and reds need to be brought down a bit (on my panel anyway), sound is decent and the processor is extremely weak to the point of slowing everything down. We got this from Betta for $876. Pending a $150 cashback it'll be $726. … Read more
Can't really complain for the price.
Edit: Updated the tv to V1106 that can be found on samsung.com/au/support. This has improved the TV's responsiveness somewhat.

Defaults to product placement & lurid [Content Removed] looks – The television keeps trying to take me to services I don't want, and even has dedicated buttons on the remote for media companies that have paid Samsung $$$ to do so. Hey, I'm paying you for technology, Samsung, not to serve me ads in my own living room. Picture-wise, the TV does its best to make everything look overcooked. Note to Samsung's… Read more
tech team: lurid smooth images might be suited to [Content Removed] but not most cinema. Trying to get it to find my laptop via HDMI is a never ending pain.

Damaged when turned up and spent over 5 hours talking to Samsung warranty – I bought a 85inch and a 72 inch this year and the HDMI port was faulty on arrival, myself and my wife tried gently to plug it to make sure we didn’t damage it. and spent 5 hours on 5 calls repeating myself to the warranty people and them saying they will arrange a tech to come and inspect the tv but nobody turned up. I won’t buy a Samsung again. Show details

amount of fine tuning can achieve Sony level quality. I imagined Samsung quality as better than this. Smiley
Samsung TV review
Great TV for an excellent price – We bought this TV as Samsung has a great reputation and the price was well within our budget. I’m blown away the bang for buck with this TV. It is very slim, easy to install and has a great picture quality and sound. The colours are vivid and the audio is crisp. There is no need for us to get a sound bar. The TV is great in the sunlight as it… Read more
reduces glare very well. The interface is easy to use and has all the apps we could ever need. The TV starts up quickly and has no delay. Will happily recommend this product to others!
