2023. No online update – So, having purchased our tv last December, we had to get the main circuit board replaced in January as the inputs were inoperable. This tv is quite easily the worst ever as you can only update the tv manually via usb ( ummmm hello....it's 2023 guys).I have a service tech coming today, want my money back please.
Purchased in at The Good Guys Physical store for $1,640.
Well,, Samsung replaced the tv with the newest model. Fingers crossed.
Hey Simon, I am truly sorry to hear about the experience you have had with the previous unit. I am glad to hear the replacement model has been provided and do hope it has resolved the issue.

Pretty decent for the price! Few annoyances! – Pros - 1) Great picture especially in 4k. 2) Lots of available apps 3) Price was good at $1650 for a 75" TV 4) Very slim 5) Fancy remote once you get use to it 6) Is a smart TV that works with Google Voice assistant Cons - 1) Picture a bit dark for bright rooms but play around with settings and its all good 2) Sometimes its a bit laggy scrolling through apps and menus 3) Apps sometimes freeze but a reset through the Apps settings sorts that out. 4) SD free to air channels quality are terrible but in a way its too be expected, besides, best to watch free to air stuff on HD channels anyway
Overall for the price I paid, its pretty decent and i would recommend the TV to others.

BU8000 75" TV – Bought this tv in June 2022. After approximately 6 weeks turn it on and it would turn off. Contacted HN who sent me to samsung technical support. TV was replaced with refurbished equipment 7 days later same thing. Samsung replaced TV again 10 days later same thing again. The repair person told samsung to refund my money. I contacted samsung in November 2022 as to when they were picking up tv. They said they would ring me. From November 2022 to February 2023 I waited and phoned and emailed. Samsung had told me I would receive my refund 30 business days after they had picked up the TV. The tv picked up 1st February 2023 I have phoned 3 times sent an email and have now put it in hands of consumer affairs. My $1595 is happily sitting in Samsung's bank account along with everyone else's refunds earning interest. Never buy anything samsung.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Electronics for $1,595.

It's in the hands of consumer affairs 6 months your kidding me and I will keep publicly posting about the disgraceful non service samsung don't give
Buyer Beware – I got this TV and after 8 days, the brand new TV stopped working. I have been in touch with Samsung support and its very very poor. JBHIFI is currently helping to resolve the issue.
