Aqua-stop keeps failing – The dishwasher itself is working correctly, it the aqua stop that keeps on failing regularly. It seems to me that the aqua-stop has been poorly manufactured and stops water coming into the dishwasher.

Samsung DMS500TRS Common fault "Error Code F5" – ***Note appliance Model numbers mostly end in W or S (W stands for White) (S stands for Stainless Steel) This is a good dishwasher but it does have a built in failure with the Water Inlet Valves. Error Code will come up as "F5". Service Manual states..."turn off power and water and call Samsung". If you contact Samsung (Philippines call… Read more

centre) they will NOT enlighten you as to what the error code means but automatically refer you to a service call = $$$$$ They will also repeat what the Service Manual states as above.

F5 means the Water inlet Valve has failed...common problem. When you pull the dishwasher out from under the counter, to turn off the power and water, you will see it has actually leaked water.

You can pick up a new valve (with pipe attached) in Australia for between $99 (+$13 post) on Ebay to about $145 (free post) through an online parts store. You can fix this yourself....very easy....2 x multigrips and a screwdriver only needed. If you need actual visual instructions search on Google and there are a couple of great YouTube clips. Fixed in under an hour, less once you've done it before.

bit dissapointing – Bought a Samsung regardless bad reviews because all Samsung products we have were very impressive. After 1.5 yrs we got the 4r error.Water didn't come and stopped working. Impressive part was service. They were so quick. Came straight away investigated and said machine doesn't recognize that door is shut. So he ordered a door seal and something… Read more

else. It's been done very quickly to our surprise.Because we read so many reviews saying service was bad and machine breaks down. We bought additional 3 yrs. Our Westinghouse dishwasher lasted us about 15 yrs without any problems. but it was very noisy. Samsung washes well, very quiet but broke down withing 1.5 yrs. I give 100% for service though. They even gave us 2 following up calls to see how it's going. And when it works it's perfect. It's disappointing a nice machine like that breaking down so quickly. Hmmm

Expect a short term relationship – It was a good machine, cleaned well and not too noisy. After 2.5 years we got the dreaded E4 error on the machine with no warning. No water getting into the machine. Expensive to repair so it will be skipped. I think we were lucky to get 2.5 years compared to so some people, but still disappointing.

Impressed! Quiet & reliable dishwasher – We bought this Samsung dishwasher over 2 years ago and continue to be impressed. It is the quietest dishwasher we have owned - amazingly quiet! We mostly use the 28 minute cycle, as we scrape off food from dishes before washing. Occasionally use the half cycle. If at home, at the end of the cycle we open the dishwasher door slightly to finish… Read more

drying the dishes. Bought this dishwasher because we have been happy with other Samsung products and it was $503! Good Guys unfortunately charged an additional $189 to remove old dishwasher, deliver and install this new one. Seal around the top basket has occasionally caught on the cup shelves, pulling it loose. We push it back into place and take more care now.

Rubbish never buy a Samsung product again! – This dishwasher miraculously broke down just outside the warranty period. Rang Samsung to come and look at it. The technician diagnosed it as a drainage pump issue and needed to be replaced. The part had to be ordered from Sydney (we're in Melb) and would take a couple of days. Waited a week, called Samsung as they hadn't called us. Didn't seem to… Read more

know what was going on, chased it up, booked another time with another technician. He came a few days later with the part, started to repair it then discovered the drainage pump wasn't the only problem and it needed more parts. Guess where from? Sydney again.

Then he informs me it has to be taken away to the workshop due to an OHS issue it could not be repaired in my home and he could not take it. It had to be collected by someone else! That person came the following week. They then held onto for another two weeks in between phone calls trying to ascertain what the hell was going on. After about 5 weeks we finally got our dishwasher returned to us. The delivery guy said he doesn't hook it up but he felt sorry for us and did it anyway. That was in June 2015. It is now September and guess what? The dishwasher has broken down again with the same fault E3. I ring them about it and guess what? It is out of warranty by two weeks. This is the biggest piece of rubbish I have ever bought and the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I am NEVER buying another Samsung product ever again, be it a phone, tablet, TV or white goods.

Faults – Bought this dishwasher in Feb 2013. Had the dreaded E5 fault and after a number of phone calls had it fixed. A few days afterwards the door fell open and stuck my daughters leg. Now just a month or two later the machine has stopped altogether. No power no display. This and having to replace a new Samsung TV in the last week. Will never purchase a Samsung product again!

Excellent cleaning, super quiet – One of the quietest and best cleaning dishwashers i've ever used. I've had it for 3 - 4 years and am disappointed that I have to leave it behind when moving house :( Dishes come out dry (except for plastics for some reason), but overall, i'm very happy with this dishwasher!

Samsung dishwasher is rubbish – Three yr old Samsung dishwasher have had nothing but trouble Had a Dishlex for 14 yrs never missed a beat. Service man came out because I had an 5E fault was told too expensive to fix get a new one and don't buy Samsung. Plus the bottom door rubber has disintegrated bits of rubber stuck to dishes. Nothing 3 breakdowns in 3 years costing considerable money. Now Ive been told too expensive to repair might as well get a new one.

Worst dishwasher and worst service! – I purchased this machine in July 2013. By November 2013 there was a fault. Someone came out to look at it and said there was a slow leak and it had to go back to the workshop for repair. They took it back and didn't even call me when it was done. I had to call them. I have advised I don't want the dishwasher fixed I want it replaced (under consumer law when there is a major fault with a machine you are entitled to request a replacement or refund, your choice) and they have said "they will look into the request"

If I had my time again I wouldn't purchase this machine When the machine works it works very well, cheap to purchase, easy to use. TERRIBLE warrantly service, multiple faults with 6month old machine

This dishwasher was rubbish! – I purchased this Samsung model in May 2012. Three months later the powder/rinse aid dispenser had to be replaced. In August 2013 I noticed cracks appearing in the door and in the top of the dishwasher. The dishwasher has now been replaced under warranty with a different model. The model we purchased in 2012 has been discontinued – I wonder… Read more

Samsung customer service is very poor and I had to persistently demand they replace the faulty model with a new machine. Dealing with the Philippines based call centre is very difficult. Their attitude is condescending and they are very unhelpful.

I would never ever again purchase a Samsung whitegood product. There is only one word to describe their products - rubbish

Extremely poor customer service.

Horrible dishwasher - cannot dry – My samsung dishwasher is still near new and for the life of it cannot dry! The best customer service I have ever had – This dishwasher is very quiet, washes dishes OK, the time it takes for a normal wash is very long and you have to make sure you program it right so the dishes dry properly. customer service they said they would send someone around ASAP we thought YEAH sure, within two days we had a date and time the service man would be here they were terrific, sent a guy ( who phoned to tell us he would be there within the hour) two photos later we were told it is a fault with the machine and we would be getting a new one within a week, another phone call and again time and date the new machine would be here it's arrived today and the guy Troy installing it is great very careful of my new kitchen and doing a good job as I type. The machine is different I checked to see if I was getting an older model or something dodgy but to my surprise it's the newest model . So very happy and thank you SAMSUNG I will now get a Samsung fridge which I need to finish my kitchen great thanks again. loved the cultery basket the way it slides along, easy to start once you have the program right, the top drawer can be adjusted up . too long in time for a normal wash just worring about the price of electricy and water

Ok, but not fantastic – We actually made sure to read the reviews of all the similar priced dishwashers before proceeding with our purchase. is a pain and gets clogged easily, I am constantly running an empty cycle just to keep the arms clean. Over-all It's a cheap dishwasher and does the job, but if you have something that's actually dirty, you need to pre-rinse/wash it in the sink first. Which kind of removes the need for a dishwasher if you're just going to wash it by hand anyway! Next time we'll spend more and get better, I think. Cheap, looks nice Doesn't dry well, doesn't clean terribly well and can be a bit noisy.

It's OK but – Had this for about 6 months now, it's OK but a few thing could be better. Main thing for me is it doesn't have a hot water inlet, so my solar hot water is not being used and I waste power heating water with every wash. The top basket has ups and downs(like most) and doesn't fit nearly as much as our old flatter whirlpool. Bottom basket OK, less… Read more

height for chopping boards etc than previous DW. It appears that this machine pumps in one direction for the top basket, then stops and reverses to pump for the bottom basket. This allows less water to be used for the cycle, but extends the wash time, the water saving is minimal so a bigger pump and more water would suit me and bring cycle times down. The drying cycle is just a drain cycle, allowing things to drip off, so I reset the machine about 20 mins before the end, and restart to pump the remaining water out then reset again, and open the door to let steam out. Saves 20 mins. The beep an the end of the cycle is loud and annoying, wakes me up, not sure if it can be turned off, i doubt it. It's relatively cheap, I paid 525. The top basket with height adjust probably will fail in time, would prefer soild non adjustable unit. Old DW lasted 12 years, one before that 20 years, I hope this one makes 5 years, parts supply after that is probably not an option these days anyway. Other than that, it washes the dishes realatively well, I use Finish powder and Finish rinse aid.

Reasonably Happy – Had the machine 6 weeks, and have learned how to drive it.On my machine the door does open flat (or very close to flat) so no problem with bottom tray sliding inwards with door open. deg C and provides enough latent heat to dry the dishes well. Ive found mine cleans adequately provided I prerinse the dishes under the tap before loading. Failing to prerinse requires the cycle(s) with the optional extra prerinse. Its certainly quiet, so far reliable but its early days. Im happy for what I paid, and would do the same again. Quiet, easy to use, low cost, triple rotating arms, stainless steel bottom tray Poor drying till you learn how to drive it.

A little disappointed – The Good: It looks great, it has height adjustable racks, did I say it looks great. realistically - who stands around waiting for the dishwasher to finish so they can open the door, and it did not come with a clamp for the drainage hose, I had to buy my own and put on.

The Ugly: I had to wait 2 months for it with every excuse under the sun from Samsung. Try explaining that to 2 lazy teenagers who had to wash dishes manually for the first time. Luckily I still remembered how. It looks nice, it is marginally quieter than my previous dishwasher and I don't have to manually wash dishes anymore. Didn't supply drainage hose clamp, had to wait way too long for it and the dishes were very wet when the cycle had finished.

What a disapointment – This is the by far worse dishwasher I have ever had the misfortune to own. I have never once had a load that didnt need some of it to go back through again.. The drying cycle is non effective. It was cheap, and I guess you get what you pay for....wish I had spent a bit more and got something that works properly.

bone dry (after 1 minute of the door open to release any remaining steam immediately after its completed the cycle which includes 20 mins of drying time).

The running noise was minimal. Just some draining sounds occasionally and if you come up close to the machine you will hear it faintly humming.

Time will tell if samsung dishwashers and this model will perform for the long term , but with a total warrenty on parts and labour for 2 years , then with extended paid to 5 years , with price paid , think it was a good purchase. The unit has 3 wash arms which only miele had , lower one is stainless,

80 degree sterilization feature

moveable top tray to allow tall glasses

angle of plate spacing can be changed

solid door and very low noise ( was impress after hearing freinds whirlpool and bosh dishwashers they payed closss to $1000 for) ,no others in price range was as solid

Several programs and 1/2 wash etc nice features for price

had good expirance with other samsung fridge and products so far

Price - managed to negotiate for $470 - goodguys , with addition 3 year

extend warrenty for $ 65 addtion fee.

Has built in water hammer valve on hose basket for knives , forks is not good as they not fit in slots of cover in basket.so need to remove basket cover

feature of water hammer valve on inlet hose, extends outwards , which required a larger access hole in cupboards, worth noting

2.4 meter drain hose so when fitting ,water may not drain from dishwasher well if elevated high , for length ( can cut when fitting )

Good little dishwasher, great for the price – Bought this dishwasher 5 months ago, a week outside a sale the Good Guys were having on it. While the Good Guys weren't willing to sell it at the cheaper price of the week before, they were willing to negotiate and offered us free delivery and free 5 year extended warranty. of the week before. I could only find the Samsung dishwasher at the Good Guys in Brisbane, no other stores had it in stock, which makes it a bit of a seller's market I guess.

All in all, it's a good little machine. I stress little here, because our previous dishwasher was a good deal bigger. When we have an 8 person dinner party these days, I have to fill and run the Samsung dishwasher twice to cope with all the dirty dishes, pots and glasses etc. However, normally we are a 2 person family, and it's the perfect size for 2 people. In fact, we fill it up every 2nd and sometimes 3rd day. Very quiet - our fridge is louder than this dishwasher. We fill it up in a couple of days so the machine doesn't get too smelly in the hot Brisbane summers, which used to happen with our previous dishwasher, which took 3 - 4 days to get a full load. If you use a rinse aid, the dishes, glassware and cutlery dry perfectly. I wondered why they weren't drying initially and then it was suggested to me to pop the blue stuff in and hey presto, it worked. Plastics still have a problem, but I'm yet to find a dishwasher that can dry plastic containers. I have to say I didn't even notice that the machine's door doesn't open the full 90 degrees. I just went and checked and I see the bottom rack does roll back a tad, but as I said, I didn't even notice this until I read other people's reviews. The only cons I have found is with the top tray, and trying to fit fragile unwieldy glassware into slimmer areas. I sometimes have problems with the cutlery tray as well - some of my very good cutlery have handles that just won't fit in there. However, I don't find these "cons" deal breakers.

Very pleased with it! – We were a bit nervous about buying a Samsung, being a company new to the dishwasher market, but we've had other Samsung products so decided to take a chance. to make sure it's on!) I also like the choice of being able to wash either a full or half load. The only problem I've had is when I've put a "finish" brand 4 in 1 tablet into a wet/damp detergent holder. I find the tablet can get a bit sticky when damp - this means that on 2 occasions the door of the detergent holder has stuck to the tablet and not opened. I now just wipe the holder with a paper towel to make sure it's dry and I haven't had any more problems. The machine dries well - especially if you open the door a fraction after the cycle is finished. We've only had the machine a few months but so far we are delighted with it. Inexpensive, very quiet, cleans dishes well, choice of full or half load.
