The phone was a very affordable price. But there are a few issues with this phone. 1. It is really heavy and uncomfortable to use. 2. The screen shot function is really uncomfortable as you have to use 2 hands and put your wrist on an angle. 3. The above 2 issues actually over time led to the development of a cyst in the tendon of my wrist. Which… Read more

I then had to have a medical procedure to remove. And I had to wear a support brace to use the phone. I recommend spending more money and buying a better quality phone.

Absolute Garbage – Slow to respond, clunky movement, apps shut all on their own, fingerprint sensor rarely works..... My partner had a Samsung A15 and I had a Motorola G84, similar price, specs and age (approx 6 months). He kept complaining about the Samsung A15 - slow, apps shutting down, fingerprint sensor malfunctioning... constant complaints. Assuming it was… Read more

user error, we spent a whole day resetting and swapping phones. I now have the Samsung A15 & it is not user error. I've been using this phone for about 2 weeks now and I am heading out to buy a new phone today. Will do a bit of research, but I'm pretty sure I'll be going back to a Motorola.

Devils Cube on Steroids – Extremely disappointed and somewhat angry. Purchased this phone only as my old 3G Galaxy no longer can make calls. The A15 5G so called new and improved is FULL of FALSE claims. The so called built in call recording is non functional, The android backwards comparable OS refuses to install any of my apps that work fine for years on my old Galaxy.… Read more

The user interface is a NIGHTMARE with RANDOM POP up Adds and rubbish no one wants constantly blocking my field of view with most having no way to stop them. FULL OF BLOATWARE with most not allowed to uninstall this piece of expensive rubbish has to be the worst purchase I have basically been forced to make. Cant even send a text without annoying Pop Ups. This phone is more like an annoying conman always trying different ways to steal your info, take your money and stop you doing anything you actually want. The amount of overt CONTROL over the actual owner of this phone is in my opinion CRIMINAL.

Galaxy A15: slow, slow, slow. Avoid – Buying this phone was a big mistake. It's slow, sluggish, freezes, and is often unresponsive. I've done everything possible to speed it up to no avail. I loathe this phone, it's horrible. Even though it's only a few months old I'll probably throw it away. Update: I spent a lot of time seeking advice from Samsung as to how to make this phone work properly. A complete waste of time. Show details

Not so User Friendly as Older Models – Bought this on advice of Telstra sales. Upgraded from an older Galaxy. Wish I hadn't. Not nearly as user friendly as the older version. And my biggest gripe is that you can't send an sms with an image attached without being connected to the internet like I could on my old model. Not the only function you can't use without being connected to… Read more

the internet. Can't delete a single message - you have to delete entire conversations unless connected. I couldn't configure the Home Screen like I wanted - that was so easy on my old model. It took 3 goes to get it to update the time properly. It's just glitchy. Just lots of little gripes that add up to disappointment. The longer I have it, the more I don't like it.

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G is an awful phone – Optus advised me that emergency calls could no longer be made on my Huawei Y9 2019 after 3G shut down. While the Y9 has been, and still is, a fantastic phone, I was sort of looking forward to a new phone and didn’t want to support the current President of China. So I brought a Samsung Galaxy A15 5G. OMG…..what an awful phone. The phone is really a… Read more

total waste of money. Clearly Samsung didn’t even test to see if all the functions worked. Blurry pictures, WhatsApp call button not working, battery lasts a few hours when hot spotting, call and voice quality poor, display quality poor. Nothing on this new phone is an advancement on the Y9. I am shocked my 5 year old Y9 is still better in every aspect than this poorly manufactured Samsung A15. So disappointed.

Fragile garbage – Mediocre is overstating it. Bought for a teenager as a quick replacement for a lost phone, it's lousy performance and bad cameras are only surpassed by being incredibly fragile. One drop from a metre and the screen is ruined. In the recycling bin after just two weeks. Thankfully, it was very cheap on a plan. Show details

Samsung Galaxy 5G. I think not – I purchased a Samsung Galaxy A15 5G on the advice of my local Optus store. This phone really is just a waste of money. It barely connects to 4G. We are back to the days of holding it up in the air trying to find bars in the hope of getting a connection, anywhere in Sydney NSW. Apps slow to open, if ever and forget trying to stream anything. Even… Read more

Poor online security features – I bought this phone secondhand, primarily as a convenient camera. I was never going to use it as a phone. It is a current 2024 model. However, I do need to enable WiFi, so it can be updated when necessary. I have a good router which enables MAC Address Filtering, basically a whitelist of allowed devices which can use my WiFi. Here's the… Read more

problem: the Galaxy SM-A156E/N will not show its WiFi MAC Address under any circumstances. It shows a "Phone WiFi MAC Address", which my router ignores, and there is provision for an "Ethernet MAC Address" as well as the WiFi MAC Address label, but that's all. The problem here is SECURITY. One would expect the WiFi PSK to provide a basic security, but they can be cracked, and many people only use simple short passwords. MAC Address Filtering makes the system more secure -- and Samsung does not care.

Lowest price and cheaper than single SIM versions – The phone works as expected. The colour is white not light blue, but light blue is printed on the cardboard box packaging. A non-Samsung international 240V wall socket adaptor was included at no additional cost. The USB / power cable included is not connector compatible with the usual Samsung fast charger, so unless you have a fast charger and the… Read more ·  1

correct cable you need to buy those separately or charge from some other source / device, not 240V wall sockets.

SAMSUNG GALAXY A15 5G – Being advised by my provider Telstra, that 3G was to be turned off in June 2024, I researched mobile phones to find a suitable replacement for my Xiaomi Mi Max 2. One of the highest rated phones for poor reception areas was Samsung's Galaxy A15 5G, so purchased this model. No problems transferring all Mi Max 2 info to the Galaxy, but then the… Read more ·  2

comparisons started. A rather clumsy design, hard square edges, not a friendly to-hand unit and not a patch on the Mi Max. Screen size dropped but so did colours and clarity, the Galaxy is no match for the Mi Max. Icon layout on the Galaxy is convoluted and confusing, although some semblance of uniformity was achieved. There is very little to separate the two regarding operating speed, even though the Mi Max is a 2017 and the Galaxy 2023, the MAJOR difference is the ability to now make calls from within our home instead of having to go outside and, hopefully, make them. A vast improvement indeed, plus the ablity to attach pics to text messages, something the Mi Max was hesitant to do. Conclusion: The Mi Max is far superior in screen, handling, layout and simplicity, whereas the Galaxy will make 4G and 5G calls. Guess I'll just have to get used to it.
